The Devil Himself was undoubtedly my most anticipated dark romance of August. After the tailspin that was the world of Devil of Dublin I was so ready to come back to Glenshire— so much so that I didn‘t think to brace myself. By the end of chapter one my heart was on the floor and I found the mantra in the back of my mind being—In BB we trust ♾️—as I moved on to chapter two and beyond.

Finally getting my July Wrap Up posted. Took forever because I was fighting with my printer 🖨️ 🥊 Pretty surprised I only finished 5. July is usually one of my most productive reading months because of #ChristmasInJuly dissociation 😅 Last July I read 17. I think my distraction of choice this July was music and a spontaneous Nashville roadtrip. Maybe I can learn to love this horrid season one day. ⬇️

Also I accidentally put Safe and Sound (by Mercury Stardust) on my list twice so instead of scratching it out I actually found another book with the same title that released this year (by Laura McHugh) 😂

This book unironically highlights the harm of the idolization of biological children IMO. As someone with PCOS who can certainly related to the struggles Kristen experiences with her cycle I was actually kind of excited to see this kind of representation in a FMC. ⬇️
I know we are already halfway through July but I finally made a bingo card. Technically the first one I have committed to my bullet journal for the year. I am unaware if I have gotten bingos from earlier months because I just haven‘t gotten around to tracking them. I will catch up eventually 😆 #BookSpinBingo

pickJune Wrap Up. I think this was my least read month of the year so far. I think this is partially since I was focusing on my physical #Bookspin which I made a dent in but didn‘t finish. It‘s been a while since I‘ve read from my physical pile and it‘s tough to focus this time of year. I am still doing amazing on my goodreads goal though I am 25 books ahead of schedule somehow (74/100)😂

I was so excited that Devil of Dublin was fated to be my BookSpin that I actually already finished reading it. Absolutely loved it. I will be buying a physical copy at some point because I need to own it. BB Easton is working on the sequel right now and I can‘t wait. 😈🇮🇪
