The artwork is so beautiful and haunting. Maika is steely, but she has many reasons to keep her guard up at all times. The god whom resides within her has his own secrets he's withholding. The Empress Shaman is still a mystery-what did she want with the old gods; coexistence? #graphicnovels #fantasy

allureofbeauty Was wondering if you got the package? 3d
phantomx @allureofbeauty I did get the package, thank you! 8h
allureofbeauty Oh good. They were concerned it should have like an apt number but there wasn‘t one in the doc and I was a little worried about it. So I‘m really glad it made it okay. 7h

Wow, what a volume! We get to learn more about Yorick-I didn't like Yorick in volume 1 because he acted like a brat. Yorick changes in here. When he's forced into "therapy", he reveals his traumas, emotions towards the first few days of the virus and his love for Beth. My one question is: how did 355 send her journals to her friend? Journaling would be the last thing on my mind during a complex mission #graphicnovels

Love the cover of this volume! The crew finally meets Sanji...under unplanned circumstances and Luffy must repair the damage to famous restaurant by sea, Baratie. And Zoro faces off against a famous swordsman. Sanji's personality reminds of a novice mobster or Al Pachino. #manga

The crew is in a world of trouble when they encounter the lost captain of The Black Cat pirates. After reading SBS panels, its interesting to see the ideas had for constructing his characters and certain scenes in One Piece (the grossest thing to find out from SBS was that Django didn't bath and grew a mushroom on his chin😫) #manga

Chouchou, what a dog, defended his home no matter what😢! Like Luffy, Buggy ate the Devil Fruit and was friends with Shanks (where has Shanks not been, and who has he not meet?!) Luffy, Nami, and Zoro meet Usopp-he grows on you as you read more and more of the series. #manga

This volume brought back so many memories! Ridiculously funny, crazy devil fruit abilities, and filled with smart aleck characters. Luffy and Zoro meet Nami and recruit her as the navigator of the crew. Buggy the Clown is probably the most annoying antagonist in One Piece #manga

Decided to revisit this volume to continue reading the series. My first read I found Yorick interesting...in my second read, I'm questioning as to why he lived and the rest of male species were wiped out-I guess that's what Brian K Vaughn wants us to think. I would like to see what comes up in volume 2 #graphicnovels

The design for this cover gives a clue, either Hanako-kun will get caught or he'll fall under a spell. This volume was heartfelt; as I read more chapters, the characters are developing mentally and emotionally as they learn more about each other. I love how crafty and sneaky Hanako-kun is, but in his past self is a dreamer. What did he do to change his future? #manga #weekendreads

Another fun volume! Readers are given more insight into the world of the spirits and the 7 supernatural mysteries residing at the academy. An excellent balance of building friendship, ideas of romance(from our main character), and comedy. Great pick for readers who enjoy Phantom Tales of the Night #manga #weekendreads

A sweet, funny, and adventurous first volume in this series. I love the spin on the spirit of Hanako-kun as a spirit and how spread rumors of a spirit can influence the spirit's existence in the world of the living. Also, the artwork is cute #manga #weekendreads

Loved this GN! It has a lot of heart and delicious food. The character is relatable, and it was nice to find in the story supportive cast of characters and seeing Ben develop his realization that a career and figuring out what you'd like to do is not a straight line in life. Bonus pages has recipes for Ben's food creations #lgbtq #graphicnovels #food

I read this one without knowing anything about the synopsis. I noticed so far Lemire likes to use characters who are older in age and characters that don't fit in a cookie-cutter community, and they have a lot grit to them, stubborn though at times. This series is centered on the apocalypse; I zoomed through this volume #horror #scifi #graphicnovels

Since reading Harrow County, I decided to find more comics by Cullen Bunn. This one is fairly new, and it is focused on a drug made from the bodies of the dead-one can experience their lives and see what they experienced, but it comes at a cost. And the family who makes this compound will not allow others to take over their business.

A good pick for readers who like horror mixed with family crime #graphicnovels #horror

The stories in this volume are more focused on yokai, and its turning up the sensation of the unknown and terror and grotesque transformations. There's more background stories about the the owner's assistants, the secrets the owner has collected, and the many spirits the owner has encountered. The owner is a little devil when it comes to "helping" others #manga #horror

Finished 1/3 of my lmpbc picks. The story was sweet. The writing is honest, funny, and relatable. BFFs and friendships are not perfect, and it's not always happy-go-lucky 24/7. No matter though, they're always their for you-and see when each other's point of view. Also, it has a magical girl trope right in the story. I loved it. I will definitely check out more works by this creator #lmpbc #groupg @LibrarianRyan @BethM @Moonprismpower @suvata

Bought this manga out of curiousity, and it reminded me how much I enjoyed stories with creepy kids(I blame my early readings in horror 👿). Ruwanda is a young boy raised to be a killer, he's haunted by the ghost of his mother(his trauma), and everyone who crosses his path ends up dead.

I'd recommend this for reader's who don't shy away from blood, a dark psyche, and other atrocities in dreary London #horror #manga

This volume was great! Akira talked so much about his hometown, and now we get to see it. On the way, the gang meets Beatrix, a German traveler who arrived to Japan to visit the sites and taste all the many foods under the land of the setting sun. My coworker found Beatrix's dialogue to be 100% accurate in depicting a German accent. Loved the mass wealth of knowledge of the hot springs the gang visited-too bad they were overrun by zombies #manga
