40k steps, but I managed to get nearly 7 hours of sleep each day. A few cardio exercises, a bit of yoga.
Means this week was a not a huge win, but I'm proud of myself for making sleep a priority. 😁

Didn't manage 50k steps, will probably end at around 42k. It's okay. As you can see, especially the last three days we're quite good.

Did yoga nearly every day. 🎉

Read/listened to 5 books this week.

Pic from our 3 hour outing this morning. A friend took pictures of us in the forest. We climbed a lookout tower for a view of our town. And, the friend also took pictures of us with books. 😁

jb72 I‘m doing okay. It seems I‘ve been out of energy these past few weeks so I haven‘t done much except care for my pets. Scout is making good progress from his injury. 6mo
julesG @jb72 I can relate. The warm/hot weeks drained my batteries. Glad Scout is on the mend. 6mo
CocoReads Doing ok here. Not been many workouts—work wears me out and although my eye seems to be recovering nicely from my surgery not being able to see the same out of the other one throws me off. So I haven‘t been doing much when I‘m not working 6mo
julesG @CocoReads Another thing I can relate to. Had an inflammation of the optical nerve and that caused blindness in the eye for two days, until the steroids kicked in, 6mo

julesG @CocoReads Yes, no worries. It happened twice, 15 and 14 years ago, my optical nerve fully recovered from both incidents - Thank Goodness! 6mo
CaroPi Ohh I will post soon but short summary. I lost my company phone on Saturday (got it back on Monday) and these days I got my period and the mornings are really hard for me. Also I am distracted planning my summer vacations that will start on Saturday (I prefer to go in low season better still nice and not so expensive) 6mo

Another week has flown by. I had a good week. Lots of steps. A bit of yoga every day. Went swimming.

Self-care Monday: Got my hair cut even shorter. BFC is showing signs, or better, collarbones and cheek bones. The hair dresser said, shorter would look good on me, so I braved it. I love it!

I finished a book, started a new audio book, and read 2 graphic novels. I'm doing ok on my quest to give up soda. The Ohio Renaissance Festival started this weekend, snd @cobwebmoth and I are working out there again. So we'll be getting plenty of exercise on the weekends through October.

Okay week. I thought it was slow, but it wasn't.

Went swimming on Friday and Saturday - got stung by a wasp yesterday that cut the visit to the swimming pool short. Did a bit of yoga. Read books, but I guess I started more than I finished.

julesG @Moony Yep. At the swimming pool. Was handing something to my daughter and chasing away a wasp near her thigh, took my arm back and got stung in the armpit. Must have been an old wasp, stinger and behind got stuck. I could pull it out. Might have not got a lot of poison into my skin. Anyway, quick thinking saved the day. Asked a smoker for his lighter, made my house key hot (well, overly warm, wasp poison is protein that denaturates at 50°C) and👇 6mo
julesG Pressed it onto the sting. Burnt like hell but probably did the trick. Only mild swelling and a bit of red skin this morning. No allergic reaction, but it might have been my first wasp sting ever. 6mo

Definitely managed my steps - 20 visits to the DIY store helped a lot.
No exercise - I'm thinking carrying tiles, buckets of dirt,... - count
No yoga - I'm feeling it, my back hurts.
Lots of floors.
Books? Not sure whether I really finished one.

Bathroom remodeling not finished. Unfortunately.

I was able to start another audio book, start my #LMPBC book, and read 3 graphic novels.
I've been standing instead of sitting at work a lot more, and generally getting more mobile. I took my kids to Kings Island and walked for what felt like 50 miles. 😉

Week 1 was awesome, if I may so so myself.

There were two 30min workouts and lots of smaller workouts throughout the week (arm circles while waiting for the kettle to boil, half squats,...)

I'm exceptionally proud of myself, and exhausted.

Another week gone already! #BFCR2 is over, and round 3 starts tomorrow. Here's my week six check in. I was able to get some walking done on my breaks at work this week. @cobwebmoth and I enjoyed a beautiful day and river walk today. I finished an audiobook, and several graphic novels this week. The day isn't over yet, but this week was very active.

Overall, I can say I read a lot more than 45 books. My guesstimation is 60 - there were cookbooks and picture books among them.

I'm more flexible than I was 6 weeks ago. My shoulders are less stiff and less pain in my shoulders is a huge win for me.

What a busy week! We had a short trip to Niagara Falls, went to an amusement park, and are working at a festival this weekend. All involved lots of walking in the heat. Between the Niagara trip, and Kings Island I think we did over twelve miles.
I did manage to read a couple graphic novels, and I got a good start on my #LMPBC book.

How are you doing? Did you have a good start to week 5 of #BFCR2? What are your plans for the week? Any goal changes?

julesG I'm trying to do more exercise (cardio and strength would be ideal), but with that constant sinusitis it's very hard. I'm a little 🚂 - huffing and puffing. Well, I could be a 🐲 or a 🐺, too - for all the huffing... I've adjusted my book goal to 45 books. Surpassed 30 books already. I'm sticking to the 4 times exercise, but I will not fret about not making 50k steps. It's tough going, the heat has returned, my nose is clogged,... 7mo

It was miserably hot this week, so I didn't get to take my walks this week, but @cobwebmoth and I went to a concert Friday evening. Almost 6 hours on our feet in the heat. It was great! Hawthorne Heights still puts on a great show.
I read 3 graphic novels, and made a bit of progress in my audio book.

After a week of the whole family fighting off a nasty summer cold, I managed very little physical activity. Until Friday night, that is. We helped in this food truck at a local festival. So much running around! Hopefully this next week is better.
I was able to finish 1 audio book, 3 graphic novels, and I started 1 new book.

It was a busy week, but I managed a walk every day. Plus I only had soda twice this week. I'll eventually give it up for good. I'm halfway through The Dream Thieves on audio, and I'm loving it so far! I managed to read a couple graphic novels as well.

The rain has finally stopped for a few days! I was able to take a walk on my lunch break, I got in another walk this evening at the cemetery with @cobwebmoth , and I dropped the car off to get worked on in town and walked home. #BFC round 2 is under way! I'm way more optimistic about this round. My work schedule has finally calmed down, and I'm ready to be active outside. My goals for round 2 are to be active every day, to read 4 books, listen to 3 audio books, read at least 10 graphic novels, and be an encouragement to my team and all the others.

👣Reached my weekly steps. Upgraded from 35k to 50k straps for the last 2 weeks.
📚Read and listened to 21 books in total, and I'm not counting the ARCs I reviewed during those 6 weeks.
🍼Drank at least 2 litres of water every day, plus tea/coffee/juice
🚵At least 4x a week
🏢At least 70 floors each week

Lost 2kg of weight 🎉
Gained muscle strength and stamina (e.g. from 10 seconds plank to 50 seconds)

I somehow managed to do a little more walking than I realized. The Pokemon addiction is paying off! Even though I have this fancy new walking boot for the next week or two, I'm ready for #BFC round 2! I should have a much more manageable schedule this time. #BookFitnessChallenge round 2!

My work is finally starting to slow down to almost half way normal hours again. I should be able to be much more active and supportive to my fellow #BFC people this time around. My goals for round 2 are to do some kind of physical activity every day. I plan on 12 books. 2 audio, 4 physical books, and at least 6 graphic novels. Thanks @wanderinglynn for keeping this going!

Gissy Let's see if I can participate this time! I'm trying to run (power-walking) at least 3 times per week and I'm trying to see if I can take swimming classes plus bike at least on Sundays! I have time to think how I will do it with books. I do my exercises with music. 9mo

This is my walking area during my lunch breaks at work. It has been super crazy these last 2 weeks, but I have managed a few walks when I actually get a lunch break. I'm behind on my goals, and I haven't been able to catch up on Litsy in over a week. Sorry that I haven't been more supportive to my fellow #BFC Littens. I'm ready for things to slow down again so that I can enjoy some reading again.

TK421 @LibrarianRyan some of the farmers in our area have a decent amount of crops in the ground, but most of Ohio is still too wet to get in the fields. This is going to be a bad year for farmers across the country. 9mo
LibrarianRyan @TK421 yeah. Not only the late start but the crops sitting in silos they can‘t sell or can‘t sell for a profit. We have not had a day without rain for at least 6 weeks. Normally all the crops are in mid May. I doubt 25% is in, but that could just be seeping me. 9mo
TK421 @LibrarianRyan the crop report from the other day said that only about 50% of corn and 32% of soybeans have been planted nation wide. It should be in the 80% range for both by now. 9mo

Thanks to being in Nashville with @cobwebmoth I was able to do a lot of walking. Centennial Park might just be my favorite new place to walk. I'm halfway through an audio book, and I read a few more graphic novels. I earned 12 points last week, so now I have 48 points.

My son and I spent a few hours at a nice park today. I'm not sure how far we walked today, but we hit the 2 hour mark and decided to go to a local comic and game shop. They still had a bunch of the Free Comic Book Day selections, and their graphic novels and back issues were all 50% off! I went with a Firefly graphic novel and Mary Shelly: Monster Hunter.

I've been sidelined with a knee injury for 8 weeks. Today my Dr lifted all restrictions! I can finally do stuff again! I really need to get more active, and this should give me the boost I need.
I'm crazy busy at work this time of year, so I only put down 1 audio book, 3 physical books, and 6 graphic novels.
My goals are to walk during my lunch breaks, get back in to my morning exercise routine at least 3 times a week, and give up soda...again.
