The other book I started for #20in4 it‘s fine, but I can‘t figure out if the 2 storylines are going to join together, or if they‘re going to stay separate. I can‘t see how they‘re going to connect but I‘ve been surprised before.

I thought I‘d read this whole series but this one isn‘t familiar at all. It‘s holding my attention more than the other book I started for #20in4readathon. #saveahorse

Book group tonight was at Flat Top grill. Flat Top is at the mall. Guess what else is at the msll? B&N. It‘s the only reason I go to the mall. Well, that and Flat Top. So here‘s my haul tonight. Not pictured; my leftovers, which should feed me at work for the next 2 days….

Book 2 for #20in4readathon I actually put this aside to focus on Klara—which was for my book group meeting tonight. I enjoyed this one—it was short and almost insta love, as it takes place over a couple of weeks? But there was a lot of emotion and depth packed in. @Andrew65

This may very well be the only book I finish for #20in4readathin I had to switch to audio to get through it and I‘m overall not an audio fan but in this case it worked well for me. I like a hefty dose of movement in my reading and the beginning of this started really slow. Hen it got better but overall it didn‘t do much for me. Interesting ideas and well written but not my jam.

Also a bookmark and so@d sassy magnets. Post 3of 3. Also the weather is absolutely glorious here! Sunny and warm. I could wear shorts! Supposed to be a little cooler tomorrow and rain but still warm enough for shorts. After that, back to winter. Boo!

It was short. I agree with the idea of not leaving a mess for your loved ones but otherwise it was mostly a dud for me. I read it for my upcoming book group meeting on Monday. Then I will death clean it right out of my house because it‘s going in the donate box. #awesomeapril

Finished my first read of the #MarvellousMarch readathon! Ok so I had 2 chapters left but I‘m counting it. It was so good, and there‘s 2 more in the series so I‘ll definitely be checking them out. @Andrew65

Not book related but I just got my test results back and I‘m negative! Guess I just have the regular crud, which isn‘t great but better than I expected! The hubs second test was negative too.

I don‘t think much of this new party game. Also I‘ve never wanted a negative on a test so bad. Hopefully I‘ll be able to go to work tomorrow and that this is just a bad cold or the non Covid crud that‘s going around.

Book 2 for #joyousjanuary I read the first in this series last week and while this one was less enjoyable, it mostly wrapped up the mystery started in the first and It ended on enough of a cliffhanger that I‘ll read the third probably, but it‘s definitely a library read for me. @Andrew65

Who doesn‘t love a good girl-disguised-as-a-boy falling in love with the wagon train leader story? I didn‘t expect to like this one as much as I did even though clearly everyone guessed that Alexandra was a girl except for Luke. Then he battles his feelings, but there was a happy ending for this historical #saveahorse book. #joyousjanuary book 1

Finished my first pick for #NewYearWhoDis 2022! A big old ugly cry at the end but I really loved it! Thanks to @CharityBlee for picking it for me and thanks to @monalyisha for all her hard work setting this challenge up!

Made a triumphant return to the library, after not going for over a year. Now I‘m curled up in my fuzzy blanket and considering what to start. Or whether or not to continue with my current reads. I also don‘t feel super spiffy so I‘m totally taking a lazy day.

#20in4 And I‘m done! First book for 2022 and a 5 ⭐️ read for me. I enjoyed the contemporary storyline but not nearly as much as I enjoyed the story of Britta, who grew up in Denmark during WW2. I didn‘t know anything about the history of the Danes during the war, they lit occupation by nazi troops and the acts of heroism practiced by the Danes, particularly when the order was given to round up the Jews. 👇

Still working on Britta. Taking a break to watch so@e UFC with the hubs. He went to the trouble of cooking dinner so I figured I‘d spend some time with him. My daughter made me the gloves and keeping my hands warm seem to help with my joint pain. My thumbs, especially snap, crackle, and pop more than a bowl of Rice Krispies. #20in4

Do t mind the background mess. My reading room is in shambles (as is the rest of the house) but I‘m off until Monday snd I‘m desperate to get my read on for #20in4 first up is Defending Brittany Stein for my it‘ll book group on Monday (providing we all stay Covid free). I picked it, so I definitely need to read it but it‘s pretty good so far and I‘ve got a great cup of tea to go with.

Spending an uneventful day at work (we do t use the “Q” work or the word that‘s the opposite of fast for good reasons. My sister got me this adorable reading journal for Christmas so I‘ve already gone through and marked the books I‘ve already read off all of the lists. She actually got this for me, her, my 2 girls, and her daughter. I‘ll post my actual book haul later when I get home from work.

First nook finished for #24in4 Readathon. 2nd in series of hockey romances. I seriously loved this one between Bishop, who is a grumpy gives no clucks forward and RJ‘s little siste, Stevie. RJ and Bishop also don‘t like each other and there were issues between Stevie and Bishop in the beginning. I don‘t want to give any spoilers away but it all turns out great in the end! @Andrew65

Finished my first read of #OutstandingOctober earlier today. So glad I‘m on vacation this week so I can participate! I feel like I‘ve dropped off the face of the earth as work has really exploded and I‘m often too tired to even read when I get home. @Andrew65

First book done for #20in4Readathon I actually finished it last night before I went to bed so today will be spent either with the Bridgertons, or Obama. Unless I decide to read something totally different. I treated myself to the Parker‘s bring on the heat big box snd it arrived Wednesday of last week. Such a long week so I loved seeing it on my doorstep. There are a lot of summer goodies in it but also 10 signed books (4 from Weston, 4 from Ali, and 2 from C. Morgan). So happy I splurged on the big size. I don‘t think I‘ll get all these read anytime soon but I‘ll probably start one this weekend. #20in4readathon @Andrew65

Made some muffins and eggs with my fancy new stove this morning. So refreshing to have a working oven and burners I do t have to light myself again. Now I‘m ready to settle into some #20in4readathon time! Started Stolen Prey by John Samdford (because the man doesn‘t write anything bad and I‘m a Lucas girl). I need to make significant progress on The Lost Queen and I have a huge stack of romances from a book box I got earlier in the week. 👇

I needed to #SaveAHorse and although this was a reread (because I also wanted comfort and familiarity) it did not disappoint the second time around. @CoverToCoverGirl

Bought a fancy new stove today. For no more than I actually cook, I maybe could have gone more basic but I was seduced by the bells and whistles. Plus, it was only $100 more than the basic one I was looking at. It doesn‘t come until Friday and I‘m working 10 that day so I won‘t really get to mess with it until Saturday but it‘ll be refreshing to have a functioning oven and burners I do t have to manually light.

I couldn‘t get the pic exactly how I wanted it, but I finished the first 5 books, almost finished the 6th and started the final one for my til book group (I have til the first Monday in June for it). I did no actual writing but feel pretty good about my reads! @Andrew65

Ok-I know it‘s only the 14th but I have 3 glorious days off and after the last 6 working days, I‘m starting readathon early. My goals are simple: start my book group book (it‘s a chunkster so I‘m going to need some time), finish 2 of my current reads, actually work on my writing and just enjoy whatever time I have to read. The weather is supposed to be glorious (70s and sun) so I plan on doing some of this outside! @Andrew65

It doesn‘t matter how cool my mug is, plain broth still tastes like sadness. I am enjoying my jello though. Don‘t get older kids, you have to do all sorts of “fun” screenings. 🤣🤣 Yes, I‘m being a wee bit dramatic-I haven‘t even started the true prep part yet. But working all day while not being able to eat solid food? I‘m not impressed.

#AwesomeApril wrap up. I didn‘t really post all week but I spent the majority of it knocking out 22/24 books in the Men of Valor MC series. I‘d read the first 2 previously. Scrolling around on Amazon video I saw that The Morganville books are now a series. Watched the first episode. It was ok but the books are definitely better. I also never finished reading them, can‘t even remember where I left off. Might be time for a re-read.

Y‘all know I‘m not an audio girl but one of the nurses at work told me this one was worth it, and she was right! I mean, I checked it out from the library via Libby but if I was to buy an audio book, this would be a good one. He‘s led an interesting life and his stories about growing up, lessors learned, and acting and worth the listen. Plus I want to buy it and read it with my eyes as well. #20in4teadathon @Andrew65

@DieAReader here‘s the complete Heaven Hill box set (10 books plus 2 novellas) for .99 today. The novellas are only so so in my opinion but the full length books are good. I just started book 8 today.

Just an update for the kittens that know about my friend. Her husband was arrested today. She won‘t be in to work tomorrow but fingers crossed that this is the first step in her healing process!

My #FabulousFebruary wrap up. I managed 6 books. All romance but the middle 4 were a reverse harem rabbit hole that I fell down. Guilty pleasure books for sure but there was a intriguing, over the top suspenseful storyline to go with them. I can thank @BayouGirl85 and #NewYearWhoDis for that. I‘ll be starting the next shadow grove series soon. @Andrew65 thanks for hosting-it was definitely one of my more productive readathons!

The current view from my window. I have to leave for work in an hour. I can honestly say, I‘ve never looked forward to anything less. My BIL texted me this morning that our parking lot at work hadn‘t been plowed. But that was around 6-I‘m hoping they‘ve gotten to it by now. Pretty sure the snow is deeper than my boots.

I‘ve done it. I‘ve fallen down the reverse harem rabbit hole thanks to #NewYearWhoDis and @BayouGirl85 . Not going to lie, reverse harem is probably my guilty pleasure but this one also has a nice juicy mystery attached to it. While it was plenty steamy, MK doesn‘t even sleep with one of the guys until 80% in. At 30%, I bought the rest of the series. On book 2 now-I‘ve really killed my day off and I don‘t feel guilty at all! #FabulousFebruary
