Life could be worse😇 I‘m currently on vacation in Budapest, chilling in the sun in a park and reading a bit on my Kindle App. Can highly recommend this way to spend your sunday🤩

I‘m also positively surprised by my current Read- I‘m gaining a lot of interesting insights in Tolstoi‘s mind and thoughts about society from this read.

I will probably finish this short book tomorrow! Not an easy read- very graphic and brutal!
It‘s about two teenagers who are been heavily bullied at school. Philosophical at times, maybe not much of a deeper story or character development but it is still stirring me up lots, so I will probably rate it 5/5🌟

sarahbarnes I loved this one, and I agree it‘s heartbreaking. 1w

I have enjoyed this one a lot! I found the main character very likable and felt sorry for her and and angry with everyone else for the way they treated her. It‘s about Keiko, who has been working in a convenience store every since school and absolutely loves it. There she understands how to behave, how to act, while outside the store‘s manual she doesn‘t know how to be „normal“ (as everone else calls it). 5/5🌟

This was not an easy book to read- it‘s a violent & obscene story with very explicit & dirty language, combined with long sentences and lots of misogyny, cruelty & crime. It‘s about 2 teenagers without any perspective in life - a poor gardner who works in the gated community „Paradise“ and a rich porn addicted kid who lives in those premises who somehow connect over booze.
At times I was hoping for a bit more depth, so I‘m only rating it 3/5⭐️.

I ended up really enjoying this one! It was very intense and intriguing and despite it being quite the chunkster I finished it really quick! The first half started off a bit slow (there were a lot of informations about languages and translation in generel and such - all very interesting but not as page turning as the rest) but I managed to be fully immersed and invested in the story after about half of it.
4/5🌟

Next up! I‘ve read a book by Sorokin last year and absolutely loved it! I‘m a big fan of magic realism and he does it brilliantly. This book is about the year 2037, where books are no longer being read. A new trend uses books as fuel for cooking exclusive meals though. - the book sounds absurd and weird and I hope my expectations will be met😁 Sorokin is also known for social criticism so it definitely sounds promising.

My current audiobook! I‘m already halfway through and like it a lot, it is very intriguing! It‘s about Luise and her life in a small town with it‘s tragedies and interesting people. It‘s in a way calm and melancholic and beautiful. There is a dream-Okapi that predicts deaths, a huge dog called Alaska and a buddhist monk. I hope the book will continue to be this good🥰

Just finished this audiobook! There were many sad stories, but I liked it a lot! It‘s the 3rd book in the Before the coffee gets cold series, which is about a cafe where you can travel to the past or the future, but only while you remain seated in 1 chair and only until your coffee gets cold. You can also not change anything in the past. All 3 books show random people traveling in the past/future and deal with their stories. 4/5🌟 recommended!
