Listened to this on audio. Thought it was pretty interesting overall. Thought it would be more of a thing about how to make decisions faster but really it explained why/how we‘re able to make split second decisions/judgments with seemingly limited info. Still learned a lot and was definitely intriguing

I feel like I‘m missing something or this went over my head. It had a bit of a creep factor at times but not as much as some people seemed to think.

The format of it was interesting. It honestly feels like a fever dream reading it because there are no chapters or scene breaks or anything. So if you read it, doing it in one sitting would be best. I split it over two lunch hours and it took me some time to recall that stream of thought from ⬇️

TheDaysGoBy yesterday. It was intriguing and interesting in that I‘ve never read a book like it before. But it doesn‘t say much to me when I had to google things to make sure I understood what happened/what the purpose of the book was. I got it all right so the author did well in that regard but it just didn‘t land for me I guess 3w

Finished this up on my lunch hour. Nora gets a chance to try out various lives she would‘ve lived if she‘d made different decisions. I thought it was so interesting and relatable - I know I‘ve sometimes wondered where my life would be if I stayed at a certain job or did something different. I liked the message and it got me thinking about my life.

Interesting, quick read

I enjoyed the stories of the four women highlighted in this book that helped the war efforts on both sides - Union and Confederacy. A slower read but most nonfiction is for me. It was definitely interesting but I think I‘m ready for some fast paced fiction for my next read

I liked this one. For some reason though it wasn‘t my favorite and I‘m not sure why. I liked the characters. Maybe the story moved a bit slow at times? I feel like I usually devour stuff from this genre rather quickly and this one seemed to take longer. Can‘t put my finger on it exactly but this was just a like, not a love for me

Was this my favorite celeb memoir I‘ve read? No. I did enjoy it though. I never knew much about his addiction and rehab stints - even back when I was watching Friends just because I don‘t keep up with celeb gossip. I think the book could‘ve done with some editing or been laid out better as some parts felt repetitive, particularly with some of the interludes. Still thought it was interesting though

Finally finished this one up. I enjoyed it! In some ways I wonder if it would‘ve been better as an audiobook but it did give a very unique perspective on WWII. Not any kind of retelling of events/layout of what happened but rather oral accounts from various women who served in the military for Russia

Daisey I listened to the audiobook of this, and I think it emphasizes the oral history feel of the writing. Yet, I also found an ebook copy so I could easily check quotes and names as well. 4mo
TheDaysGoBy @Daisey Yeah that‘s probably the route I should‘ve taken. Still good though 4mo

What an incredible story of survival of a man who would be one of the first (and only a handful of) Jews that escaped from Auschwitz. It‘s amazing how resilient he was and utterly heartbreaking what he had to go through - not just during his time there but after his escape as well. Well written and laid out well

So I definitely got spooked a bit with this book, but the way things pieces out and kind of jumped around was a little confusing at times. It was an interesting premise and like I said, did give me chills at time but I think ultimately it was the structure of the story that just made this a so-so for me

It was my #bookspin for September though so that‘s another off the list

Both of the Hocus Pocus movies were fine - I didn‘t get that much nostalgia out of the first one because I‘m certain I only saw parts of it growing up.
