Final #BFCr3 check-in. I hit my step count 3 days this week. I did end up hitting my 4 book goal with the couple books I read this week. I didn‘t always hit all my goals the last 6 weeks, but I definitely have gotten further than where I was before
One #goodhabit I‘m doing today is having some relaxing down time with my kitty Sam. He‘s not always a cuddler, but he seems content with it at the moment.
Quite a few Littens had recommended listening to this one, and I have to completely agree. I feel like this book was made to be listened to. It was so engaging, but I‘m also completely addicted to podcasts so this was right up my alley. Sadie was such a unique character and I enjoyed her so much. This was one of my most fun, engaging reads of the year. I zoomed through it
Just finished listening to the audiobook. This is between a pick and a so-so for me. Her story is incredible - I don‘t know how she lived through as many horrible things as she did. And her message to stand up and speak out - to take the steps to change Hollywood and the world was nice. There was something about the tone of the book that didn‘t always hit me the right way. It was an interesting listen but that opening song was crazy 😂
Finished this book in a #favoritereadingspot in my house. Overall, it was interesting and the characters were pretty likable. I honestly was a bit lost at the end as to what‘d happened in the incident in the past. Unique take on a ghost story but didn‘t wow me.

Not the traditional #selfhelpbook and I‘ve rec‘d this before, but it doesn‘t hurt to repeat. This book helps you hone your survival instincts - helping you tell the difference between those signals and unnecessary worry. Also provides tips for how to read people/know when they‘re trying to manipulate you. A must read
Stole this quote off my Pinterest board for the #whatilove prompt of #selfimprovementsept
I love the obvious things - family, reading, traveling, etc. But I have a love for all things Disney. Those movies and amazing theme parks are everything. I completely forget the world when I‘m at WDW and I love that feeling
I don‘t have any #flowers in my apartment because my cat is a jerk who eats everything 😂 But I remember growing sunflowers growing up. They‘ve always been a favorite of mine
#selfimprovementsept @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @OriginalCyn620
Besides reading a #hobby I have is writing. It‘s fanfic and I only ever share it with my best friend so it‘s truly something I do for myself. Though I take it seriously and it can sometimes be frustrating but working out plot details, I do enjoy it and being creative.
Here are the two books I‘m reading for the month. Brave is an audiobook while the other is a hardback (currently halfway through). Besides these, I‘m hoping to read more but trying to let the mood strike me (and who knows if my other audiobook holds will come available this month 😂)
This week for #BFCr3 was ok. I hit my step count 3 days. I did have a couple unplug sessions before bed. I did do writing on the days I haven‘t unplugged- even if my kitty literally gets in the way like he did earlier 😂
1. Only 150 pages in so not sure what to make of it yet
2. Sleeping, reading/writing, and organizing my apartment by going through closets and decluttering
3. Vanilla or mint chocolate chip
4. I want to! Tried to learn guitar in high school but the chord changes seemed impossible with my small hands 😂 Always wanted to learn that or piano
Hit my step count 3 days this week, which is less than last week. I‘m not beating myself up too much for it though - it was a weird week with some odd stressors thrown in. Next week should hopefully be better. I had a couple unplug sessions but less than I thought I would since I‘ve finally started writing again
#BFCr3 @wanderinglynn @AsYouWish
1. Does ignoring the count? 😂 Even still took me way too long to come up with it considering it‘s a favorite book
2. Teleportation for sure. I love to travel and that would make it a snap
4. Funeral service for my grandpa ☹️ The rest of the weekend though I‘m hoping to get caught up on reading and sleep
Doing my #BFCr3 check in early since I‘ll be at a friend‘s wedding the rest of the night. I‘m out of town in Chicago and spent the evening walking around the city/Navy Pier which explains the huge jump in step count 😂
Pretty good week with some unplug sessions before bed, but I could do better with that
1. I kinda squeeze it in whenever I can but I‘d say evening if I‘m home or the weather isn‘t cooperating. But afternoon in the summer so then I can lay poolside while I read
2. Not really. Trying to make more of one though. Been trying to on my lunch hour and before bed
Whoa. That book ended differently than I thought it would. Bit of a twist at the end. It was such a gripping book with some great characters. When the one major event happened I had to keep reminding myself that it wasn‘t even what the back cover had used to draw you in. Great story!
Book 1 of 4 for #BFCR3 @AsYouWish
Week 1 check-in for #BFCr3 - was a pretty good week. Got my steps in 4 days and got my walk in 3 days. Didn‘t do so great with my unplug sessions before bed 😂 Hopefully I‘ll be able to tear myself away from my computer more this week. All in all a good week!
@wanderinglynn - forgot to tag you originally when I posted this yesterday
I changed up my goals from round 2 for #BFCR3 though I did keep the steps. I did adjust the walking goal down a bit because some weeks I struggled to get any walks in. So hopefully I can get closer to making these a habit. Then I added a few unplug sessions a night basically to get me off my computer and make sure I get some guaranteed reading time in 😂
My final check-in for #BFCr2
Technically I have less steps total than last week, but I still hit my step count 4 days. Also got a walk in 3 times this week.
Thanks @Laughterhp for being a great team captain! #smallsteppers
1. The characters were enjoyable
2. If we‘re talking a nickname that strictly stayed in my childhood - Peaches. BUT my parents have always (and still) call me Belle. Sometimes more than my actual name 😂
3. Fried ravioli
4. A cousin‘s first birthday Sunday. Other than that, nothing. I‘ll get a veg weekend by the pool
5. Just the one
Doing the checkin now because tonight I‘ll be busy doing a bachelorette type night out for my sister. I hit my step count 4 days this week! I also got a walk in at least 3 days. It was a pretty great week for me. Here‘s hoping I can keep it up for next week!
#BFC #smallsteppers @wanderinglynn @Laughterhp
This book was very good! Eleanor‘s story was sad but kind of uplifting as well. Some of her perspectives on things were funny/interesting. Despite what my pillow says (lol), this book was a good reminder that you can have some great people come into your life that you were never expecting.
I hit my step count 2 days which is about where I was before I went on vacation. Hoping to do even better this week and the cooler weather should help me get outside more. I also did get a few short walks in.
I‘d finished an audiobook for the week, and I think it actually got me to my 4 book goal. I‘m definitely continuing on though
@wanderinglynn @Laughterhp #BFC2
1. Tagged the final book of the How to Train Your Dragon series. I will never not pimp that series 😂
2. Neither. I used to like them but recently discovered I lost my taste for them
3. Sunset. I‘m almost never awake for sunrise 😂
4. I‘d be trip planning for sure! Hotels, plane tickets, etc
5. 3rd grade maybe. I met the girl that was turned out to be my best friend through 12th grade
So I forgot to review this book Sunday when I returned. We listened to this audiobook on the drive to the beach and finished it up on the way back. It was so good! Admittedly, I saw the previews for the movie with Milo Ventimiglia that‘s coming out but my mom vouched for how good the story was. And we were all in agreement! The narrator was great and there was something interesting about it being from the dog‘s POV
I never take selfies, which was evident by how many attempts it took me to get me looking at the camera right 😂 But this is me no makeup about to jump in the shower and get ready for an early bedtime. Thanks to @wanderinglynn and @Laughterhp for encouraging me out of my comfort zone with this week‘s photo challenge!

As predicted, I didn‘t hit my step count while on my beach vacay. But our 3 level beach house had us all doing lots of stairs every day. I did get some beach walks in and I finished one book and started one audiobook (will finish on the drive home tomorrow). I‘m sad vacay is over and it‘s back to work, but it was fun.
Been at Outer Banks, NC the last week and finished this book with a view of the little lake next to our beach house. Overall the book wasn‘t bad. It held my interest, but it wasn‘t overly suspenseful given I‘d had the plot figured out pretty quickly. Still was pretty enjoyable, but not a favorite of mine.
This was book 3/4 of my #BFC2 book goal
1. I‘ve been on vacation all week so haven‘t had a whole lot of need for productivity 😂 I‘m about to finish the book I‘m on though so I‘d say that
2. The beach or WDW
3. Hm…strawberry shortcake
4. Yes and no. It‘s the last couple days of my vacation and early Sunday morning we‘ll be back in the car for an 8+ hour drive home
5. Will do!
1. Not a huge fan of breakfast but maybe a coffee cake with a cup of coffee.
2. I don‘t know. At WDW I like to eat at Sci-fi which is themed like an old drive in showing short, cheesy sci-fi flicks.
3. Not really. I worry about getting food in/on my book 😂
4. I‘m pretty happy with vanilla honestly.
5. @IheartYA @BookNAround
Thanks for the tag @Laughterhp
I hit my daily step count goal 3 days this week. The holiday and working from home Friday lead to lower step counts. Today had some pool time with my nephews and been busy packing. Did get several walks in this week.
With being on vacation next week I‘m going to expect not to get all my steps in, but I should be able to walk on the beach every day.
Sitting around waiting for the fireworks and admiring the pretty sunset. Already hit my step count for today - in fact I‘ve hit it every day this week except Monday. Feeling pretty good about that, especially since I‘m expecting a lazy day off tomorrow 😂 Happy early Fourth of July everyone!
Listened to this at the suggestion of a Litten and it was really interesting! I didn‘t know much about Jim Henson - watched some muppets/muppet babies growing up but that was about it. He sounded like a remarkable person - we need more people in the world like him. It was a much longer audiobook than I‘d thought and the beginning was a touch slow. After that though, it was very intriguing
Here‘s my wrap up for the quarter for #booked2019
I jumped around a little.
Night Oriented Title: Emma in the Night
Irish Author: The Heart‘s Invisible Furies
Features a Musician: John
Book to Movie: Ready Player One
@Cinfhen @BarbaraTheBibliophage @4thhouseontheleft
My daily step counts for the week. Only met my goal 3 of the days. My cold really gave me some bad days this week, which kept me from being as successful as I wanted. And I thought I was finally over it only to wake up this morning with a migraine and awful ear pain. No infection but the doc gave me meds that should help.
Here‘s hoping for an even better next week!
#BFC @Laughterhp @wanderinglynn
Finished the first book for my #BFC challenge but it also fit the #nightorientedtitle prompt for #booked2019
Was an easy read with some real intrigue/interesting thoughts. Some of the writing felt clunky - I‘d have to reread sentences before I caught what the author was saying. The truth/reveal definitely didn‘t sit well with me, but I‘m sure that was the point. Held my attention but didn‘t love it
1. Besides Harry Potter, I loved the How to Train Your Dragon series
2. All of them? I don‘t really use condiments - I barely even use ketchup 😂
3. Not a phobia per se but I hate bugs. And I‘m mad my cat won‘t kill them for me. Lol!
4. A younger sister
5. Will do
#BFC2 Hit my step count today. Yesterday not so much given that I‘d worked from home to help recover from my cold. I did fit in a 15 minute walk at lunchtime though, which I didn‘t do today - I work on the 36th floor and with my ears all messed up I‘ve been trying to limit the up and down in the elevator 😂 I do seem to be on the upswing though so hopefully I can get more active
Also been busy listening to the tagged audiobook
Day 1 of #BFC2 didn‘t go so well - been suffering from a terrible cold and performed maid of honor duties taking my sister to her dress fitting yesterday. Day 2 though was much better. I hit my step count for the day (partially from going to the bathroom continuously to blow my nose so I didn‘t gross out my coworkers 😂). No walk at lunch but hoping to get out tomorrow
@Laughterhp @hes7 @jessinikkip @LapReader @TheWordJar @TK421 @ScarletQuill
I‘m joining round 2 of the #BFC and my goals are:
Walk at least 15 mins during lunch M-F
Exercise 30 mins twice a week
8,500 steps a day
I do some of these now, but not regularly so I‘m hoping to really build a routine the next few weeks
