Still working through my last #GrimReaders pick… Death with Interruptions is charming, incisive and inventive, but also a slow read. The stream-of-consciousness format, with no quotation marks or line breaks, is not difficult exactly, once you get used to it, but it does require intense concentration. I‘m enjoying it.
Hellhound is, of course, gripping. #weekendreads
pickCenters around a line of witches biologically driven to enact a unique brand of vigilante justice upon the worst kinds of men. Which was a premise (mostly) intriguing enough to outweigh the flaws in execution.
(& due to illness knocking me out of commission for almost all of October, this was only book 2 for me for #hauntedshelf. Only 850 points for the month. Obviously must bolster my immune system ahead of next year!)

pickThis was a fun mystery. I liked going along for the ride with Oliver and Ricky as they veer from their travel writing to solve an unexpected murder. Oliver is autistic and uncomfortable with changing plans, but he builds confidence in himself with Ricky's help. The two try to get to the bottom of the disturbances of a self-driving car company without getting into trouble themselves.
Great start of a new cozy mystery series #SeriesLove2025
so-soI'm really glad to have finally read this classic. It wasn't as spooky as I expected. I thought the creation scene would be more dramatic at least but a lot of the story is anticlimactic and Frankenstein doing nothing productive, only complaining how hard his life has become
