3) Joined the Y and started swimming. Water is my happy place.
4) Green Day Wednesday night to wrap up a summer of concerts. American Idiot is still one of my all time faves.

1 & 2) Two favorite bands dropped new albums - Airborne Toxic Event and Snow Patrol
3) #LitSolaceFallCardSwap cards are arriving. I‘m saving for the 22nd
4) New quilting project - bag for microwave bakers - recipient says it works great
5) After much deliberation I‘ve set my full retirement date. This upcoming tax season will be my last.

No pics this week. This week‘s joys are all about friendship.

1) A fun late birthday lunch with a good friend.
2) A long phone call with another on speaker while she crafted at her home and I declutterred my sewing room.
3) A friend talking me down off the ledge when something did not go well. A much needed different perspective!
4) And my hubby who still makes me laugh everyday
5) The joy found in gratitude.

Today I learned that the tagged book was made into a movie released in 1965! It‘s been a favorite book since my first reading as a teen. I hope I can find it streaming somewhere.

Update: Movie is currently unavailable and will likely remain so. The review says “amateurishly acted, badly written and hideously directed”. I would hate to see it ruin such a lovely book. So never mind 😁

I talk a lot about this book as it is one of my all time favorites. It would be a perfect choice for #Booked2021‘s “Underrated or lessor known” prompt. It is a lovely book.

I ordered new lamps for my nightstands, but they were smaller than I pictured in my head. No worries, my TBR stack has come to the rescue!

I loved A Tree Grows in Brooklyn so I decided to read another by this author. Loved this one too!! Such a sweet little story!

To our #jb #justbecause group...I have received cards and gifts galore. I will posts pics and send thanks soon. All of it brings me joy but being able to send a small something and make someone else‘s day increases my joy ten-fold. I love this group so much! It means the world to me and helps me to remember to choose joy!

Well this was a wonderful way to wake up this morning. I'm sorry I've been a bit neglectful on here lately. I'm still trying to get into the swing of having a routine and unfortunately, there's very little time for reading during the week.
