The Lincoln Rhyme/Amelia Sachs duo is a favorite. Always twists and turns. Always something from left field. Doesn‘t feel gimmicky though.
Lincoln Rhyme is always a treat. Perfect for night shift.
Love Slaughter. Always a delightful twisty turny thriller with engaging characters and solid storyline.

Meh. I finished it. I was bored. But I still finished it.

Couldn‘t keep me focused. Might be a decent story but I was bored.
Terrible. The terrible is compounded by the narrator which is the worst I‘ve listened to so far. Overly dramatic and breathy yet strangely flat. Irritating.
Boring. So unbelievably boring.
Fantastic. The Pendergast series is a fun foray into mystery/thriller/sci-fi.

I actually listened to Mad Love by the same author. Performed by a cast, one of whom was Alexis Bledel…otherwise known as Rory Gilmore. Fantastic listen. Short at 4 hours and it flies by.
I‘m actually listening to Mad Love on audible but it‘s not in the database.
I love this author for simple, enjoyable reads.
Interesting as a view into the politics of the 14/1500‘s. By which I mean not at all interesting unless politics is your thing…which is definitely not my thing. I got very bored reading it and ended up skimming a lot of it. But the copy of picked up is beautiful.
Surprisingly good on audible.
Great on audio. Anne Heche narrated and she did a fantastic job.

Scarpetta almost seems likeable. Don‘t get me wrong, I love the character but she is trying.
Trite. Predictable. Boring. And why oh why do narrators on audible seem to be breathy all the time? So irritating.
The book I listened to was The Worst of You. It was fantastic. The whodunit fairly obvious but the twists and turns to get there fun enough.

Excellent on audio. The characters are so well fleshed out.
