The Lincoln Rhyme/Amelia Sachs duo is a favorite. Always twists and turns. Always something from left field. Doesn‘t feel gimmicky though.

Terrible. The terrible is compounded by the narrator which is the worst I‘ve listened to so far. Overly dramatic and breathy yet strangely flat. Irritating.

Fantastic. The Pendergast series is a fun foray into mystery/thriller/sci-fi.

brittanyreads Do you have to read them in order or can they be standalones? I always see them at my library book store but they are usually just random books in the series. They sound so great though!! 1mo
Shemac77 You get a little more out of them when you read them in order but you don‘t have to. There‘s 21 books in the series so far and they‘re broken up into mini series as well within the mainframe of the series. I would give them a try, I quite enjoy them. @brittanyreads 1mo

I actually listened to Mad Love by the same author. Performed by a cast, one of whom was Alexis Bledel…otherwise known as Rory Gilmore. Fantastic listen. Short at 4 hours and it flies by.

Interesting as a view into the politics of the 14/1500‘s. By which I mean not at all interesting unless politics is your thing…which is definitely not my thing. I got very bored reading it and ended up skimming a lot of it. But the copy of picked up is beautiful.
