#LittensLoveRomance Ch.13-14: well these two, honestly- they need to start being honest with themselves and not so damn practical. Although that was an amusingly awkward conversation after the kiss. I hope now that Delia is around, she‘ll be able to steer Evie into the right direction. Or at least glean what Evie really wants. And here‘s hoping Rory gets trapped down a well.

Secondly, we get to see a glimpse of Nesta‘s power - and it has Rhys scared shitless - that tells you something. I loved how protective and worried Cassian was - the boy has it bad which is just what Nesta needs. ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.11-12: So typical for Rory to show up when he thinks something might be in it for him. What a grifter! I hope Evie sees through him, before he ruins things for her. Now the duke, that‘s a nice distraction- but it‘s good she‘s trying to remain cautious in her feelings for him, & in her expectations. Cinderella stories don‘t honestly happen in the real world- HEA is a rare thing. But maybe she can allow a small amount of hope?

It‘s a shame she can‘t act better with her sisters but maybe there‘s too much history and trauma to unpack. Been there, Nesta, been there. She‘s slowly becoming Nesta with Cassian. Physical closeness will bring them closer mentally as well I think. ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.9-10: Well, there were tame shenanigans- touching hands without gloves, lingering glances, tripping into each other - but it did get them both hot and bothered. And then the duke avoided her all week! Boo. But I totally get why with his experiences. It‘s nice to see the attraction is on both sides though. Here‘s hoping they realize it sooner rather than later. I‘m also glad Evie is getting a bit of confidence. She needs it.

#LittensLoveACOTAR #ACOTAR #ACOSF Book 5: Ch. 22-24: My My, things are getting steamy in the House of Wind. This back and forth between Cassian and Nesta is fun to read. Poor Az, he‘s not the greatest chaperone haha. I‘m sure he doesn‘t want to be pulled into their complicated mess. I‘m glad Nesta finally got someone to agree to come to training. It‘s nice that she‘s focused on this task - a win might help her move on to the next.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.7-8: Shopping on a Duke‘s dime - must be nice (and she deserves it). But I‘m glad we established he‘s rich and not one of those aristocrats who‘s deep in debt (like so many were at the time) - Now we find that she can‘t dance - rather than having her scandalously join him at his empty house, why doesn‘t he just pay for a dance tutor? I sense some shenanigans might happen with them being alone.

Feyre won‘t be able to help in the war effort which will stress her out. And Nesta - sigh - she‘s the most prickly cactus. Thank goodness we can see her thoughts or we‘d still hate her. At least we know she feels bad when she says something terrible. I wish Cassian knew she cares for him and wants him. ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.5-6: Evie certainly has rotten luck- I really hope her books will be okay.she‘s lucky more damage wasn‘t done. And Duke Max to the rescue with the insurance and with getting her a place to stay. How could she say no? I‘m also glad she realizes Rory is kind of a moron. The book he gave her - It reminded me of a gift I once got - so out of touch. I‘m glad she‘s smart enough to see that. Will he bother her at the Savoy though?

I love that Cassian won‘t let her back down from him and what‘s bothering her. He won‘t give up - I think that‘s what she needs. But it might put him in a bad position of fighting with Rhys, who is definitely not a Nesta fan. ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance ch.3-4: The wager is made. At least the duke is telling Evie about it. I was worried we‘d have a “She‘s All That” scenario where the main girl is unaware of being played. At least in this way Evie gets a bit of a say - if she says yes. What could entice her to do this, I wonder? Maybe to show people she‘s capable? ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance: Ch.1-2: a refreshing start to this historical romance, set in the late 1800s. I appreciate that the duke‘s been married before (although that certainly is a sad story) and I appreciate that his cousin has a job and has been married 3(!) times. You can tell that society is not nearly as stringent as in say, an earlier regency romance. ⬇️

I know he felt bad for saying that everyone hates her - even though Nesta provoked him. At least it seems they‘ve made their peace - for now. But what favour will she ask of him? Hopefully not something stupid like getting her wine. ⬇️

I think these characters will be important to her story. ⬇️

To humiliate him in front of the Illyrians was low. Even for her. I wonder what will finally make her decide to train and stop putting up walls to keep people (mainly Cassian) out.

Speaking of friends - how great is it that the boys have an annual snowball fight? Love those characters.

I don‘t begrudge Rhys for saying what he did-even if he feels guilty afterwards, some things had to be said. Maybe Nesta should join Tam and they can be miserable together. B/c Nesta is going through it and not accepting help from her family. I think an intervention may be in order.

I wonder if we‘ll learn more about Emerie. ⬇️

I especially liked reading Feyre and Rhysand‘s scene because I just ❤️ them so much. I love how they take care of and respect each other. Morrigan‘s scene was sad. Her memories of the worst moments of her life brought to life was difficult to read. I still think Eris is a prick not worth trusting.

It‘s clear that things are not all HEA after the fight with Hybern. I appreciate that SJM acknowledges that people suffer from emotional trauma and PTSD and it doesn‘t just go away. All of our characters are dealing with things or keeping themselves busy in order to avoid. ⬇️

And hopefully this time when she disappeared- she left a note.

I was sad for The Suriel - a dreamer as well. A lonely dreamer who sacrificed to make the world better. Poor Feyre. ⬇️

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong book 12.5 Ch.6-10 and review: sorry for the late post. I have the world‘s worst cold right now and even reading is a challenge. I enjoyed this whirlwind novella but I found it a bit too speedy for some bits of info that were divulged - like the fact that Roarke‘s father could have known Eve‘s in Dallas. We‘ll have to spend longer on that tidbit I think. ⬇️

Seeing the battle going poorly causes Feyre to look for the Suriel once more so she can get answers. And without even offering it anything in return, the Suriel is very helpful. It must respect Feyre because we learn it wasn‘t so forthcoming with Ianthe. But now it may pay with its life. ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.50-53: In a nice twist, Park‘s father - who really is a decent guy - gives him permission to drive Eleanor to her uncle‘s. I only hope her uncle takes her in. Poor Eleanor doesn‘t have any other options. I felt bad that she had to make the decision to leave her siblings. But in the end, she‘s right in that they would have been doomed from the start if she tried to take them. We‘ll finish with the final few chapters tomorrow.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.45-49: ugh so scary. Eleanor‘s step dad is a predator and he needs to be stopped. I really hope she can get away from him and make it ok on her own. Props to Tina for helping her - of all people. That was surprising but in a good way. Kids need to stick up for each other. Now comes the goodbye 💔

Those battle scenes are tense! I think Feyre‘s right though, they need to learn Hybern‘s true plans. Maybe bothering the Suriel yet again is the right move. Hope it‘s not tempting fate.

But is he playing everyone? I‘m glad Lucien was away and didn‘t have to witness Elain‘s reunion with Grayson. Even though it‘s full of tension, she clearly still cares for him. Their marriage wouldn‘t have worked even when she was human. Now it‘s just impossible.

#LittensLoveRomance Sorry for the missed post. I fell asleep early last night due to a cold. Ch.41-44: even as Eleanor and Park grow closer physically, we know they‘re on borrowed time. I feel like with her mom cornering her and talking about boys, she knows more than she is letting on. If every kid in their neighborhood knows, I‘m sure some adults do too. Someone could have mentioned it. Which is dangerous for Eleanor. ⬇️

I mean - I thought we told her to be careful of bargains. girl‘s addicted to tattoos I guess. It‘s probably a smart thing though - to find ways to beat Hybern who has the bigger army. At least she told Rhys about it right away. ⬇️
