My wishlists are ridiculous. This is 1/1000 of my Amazon lists 🤣🤣

2. All of the horror. I usually reread Pet Sematary in September or October
3. Back when I had a figure I had a cat costume that was adorable!
4. I LOVE themed socks. Especially book related socks. My size is 6.5
5. Halloween 1978

More outside reading today #stephenking
Tip of the hat to Carissa Orlando. I thought I had all the twists figured out but she twisted the twist! This one is a joy ride (if you like haunted houses and a little bit of gore). Great read for spooky season. 🖤
Currently reading. Also, I‘ve already started decorating my cubicle for Halloween 🎃
I had an Amazon gift card burning a hole in pocket 🤷🏼♀️💀 📚
I am super excited to be participating in a swap for my favorite season! Check out @wanderinglynn and sign up if you are interested in the #HauntedHollowSwap 🖤🎃
I‘m getting a jump start on horror season. Who am I kidding? It‘s horror season all year long for me. 💀🖤
I almost forgot to come back from my lunch break because I got so into the end of this book. I may have finally broken through my reading slump. I only read about 6 books January through June but I‘ve read 4 in the last 6 weeks, including the uncut version of The Stand. It feels good to be excited about reading again 🙂❤️ 📚
This book is really weird. I think I‘m going to love it! Maybe it will finally break my reading slump. I don‘t think I‘ve read 6 books this year. 😬
I came really close to picking the tagged book but I just couldn‘t get excited about any of them this month. I‘m trying to cut back on spending so I‘ll save my credit for next month.
I wasn‘t impressed with the December BOTM picks but I do enjoy a decent thriller so I hopefully this is a good box. #botm
Scary story but the “twist” was obvious from the beginning. I wanted to love it. Maybe it was because I was suffering from a book hangover after reading Fairy Tale. Still, it was a fun quick read.
First time in Barnes and Noble in a really long time. Oops 🤷🏼♀️
Hiding out and getting in a little reading before my work day starts. I am impatiently waiting on the “sitting on the back deck with an adult beverage and a book” season. Winter can suck it. 🤣
I‘ve been in a reading slump since the last week of November. I think I have read maybe 3 books since then. This one feels like it‘s going to be a quick read so maybe I‘ll get over the hump soon. How is everyone doing? I haven‘t been very active here lately and I miss the Litsy family. ❤️
I preordered this novella mostly based on the cover art. It was incredibly hyped on social media and it ended up falling short of most people‘s expectations. I personally did enjoy it but wish it would have been a full length novel. This almost felt like a rough draft or outline of a fantastic novel.
Did anyone take advantage of the buy 2 get 1 free sale at Target last week? I bought Night Shift, The Rust Maidens, and December Park. Then ordered one book from amazon. Then I made the mistake of browsing eBay where I found a signed copy of Usher‘s Passing. Now I seriously have to put myself on a book buying ban. 😬
Last year when everyone was raving about The Only Good Indians, I felt terrible because I could not get through it. I just couldn‘t connect to the story and the writing style. Then I read the premise for My Heart is a Chainsaw and I thought this would be better. Well, about 100 pages in I thought I was going to DNF this one as well. I decided to stick it out and I‘m glad I did because this was magnificent. Going to pick up Only Good Indians again
Book! Foo Fighters are my favorite band and Dave Grohl is my one celebrity crush. He‘s freaking talented and a great story teller. I‘m really looking forward to reading this. I preordered it back in April. ❤️
Laura Purcell is kind of a modern day Daphne du Maurier. This is my second of her books and I loved it almost as much as The Silent Companions. Creepy gothic story. 4/5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️
A little comfort food and a good book for my lunch break today. This is one of those books that you hate to put down.
Halloween candy is out! Planning my October reading. Just have these three picked out so far. Fall reading/spooky season is the best!
I love Darcy Coates! This is one of my birthday purchases. My man always gets me a gift card because he can‘t keep up with which books I have or don‘t have.
Does it ever drive you crazy that Amazon doesn‘t seem to care about books? I have been getting books that look like they threw them on the ground and stepped on them. I‘ve gotten better quality books from thrift stores! I‘m looking forward to getting into this one though.
This book. Wow. It is a gritty crime novel with extreme violence and a dark story line. My heart was racing and I couldn‘t turn the pages fast enough. At the same time, I wasn‘t sure if I could finish it, but I am so glad I did. What an incredible story.
Dang it Book of The Month! I was going to skip this month. 🤣
The first true crime book I ever read was Helter Skelter. I read it in high school and I was both horrified and fascinated. I remember thinking that Vincent Bugliosi, the prosecuting attorney, was a hero. The case he laid out about the crazy motive seemed so far fetched it‘s hard to believe he got the convictions. This newer book, researched over twenty years casts some doubts on Bugliosi‘s case. There‘s no doubt of Manson‘s guilt but... wow!
Sometimes you have to put the book down and pay attention to your babies ❤️
I am loving this book. Robert McCammon has become one of my favorite horror writers. I bought this first book club edition off of eBay. It gives me that cozy feel of reading library books in the 80s. ❤️ The story is not what I expected and I LOVE it!
