Good book further telling about lost and looted artworks during WW2. This book focuses on the author‘s search for her great grandfather‘s art. Very detailed - I felt as if I was sitting with Ms. Rynecki and hearing the story.

Looking forward to this book! I‘ve always been interested in the art and monuments that were destroyed or stolen by Nazis and opportunists. This book is written by a Litten, and tells how one determined woman works to get her great-great grandfather‘s art back.

Cinfhen I‘ve been wanting to read this book. I‘m also interested in the history of the looted art 3w

ljuliel This stuff ticks me off. I don‘t know how in the heck people from 100 years ago were supposed to write everything politically correct 100 years into their future. This was a very long book. I say it‘s a pick due to all the information that‘s in it. The book is repetitive at times-sometimes verbatim. Also, Metaxas seemed to tell a lot about other people and had a lot of educated guesses as to what Bonhoeffer might have thought. I‘m glad I listened to it, but I am more glad that it is done.

Daisey Someday I will probably listen to this, but I‘m not in any real rush. If you want a short to the point biography, I really enjoyed this YA one. 4mo
