#bookoutlethaul 4 books....wait for this....with $10 certificate they provided to me and their $5 off sale, I got 2 hardbacks and 2 softcovers for $2. Even though I‘m trying NOT buy books, I had to go for this. My excuse...price and coupons and...my library doesn‘t have Bad Romance and I love Heather DeMetrios‘ characters. My minimalist journey has once again been thwarted...lol

CouronneDhiver I recently bought that one from book outlet too ↖️ (far left). so pretty! 13h

My first Kiersten White and her debut! Fairies, Werewolves, shapeshifters, water spirits, mermaids, vamps, hags. Evie is a well rounded protagonist. Not really sure what she is yet, but she can see through glamours. Pretty cool. 3.5⭐️ I may continue with series. #Virginia

Sometimes I need to slow down and wait the 22 minutes for stovetop percolated coffee. It‘s just an amazing cup of coffee. Plus it sends delish scentwaves throughout the home. Brewed with love and cinnamon and a little Paranormalcy😀 this book was a bit warm after this experience, but unharmed.

Eggs Oh I miss that ☕️ Mom always made that kind💗 1w
Cathythoughts Sounds like good coffee 1w
JanuarieTimewalker13 @Eggs That‘s funny bc my mom always drank instant Nescafé! Yikes!! That‘s bc she never had time? I‘m not sure where I inherited the love of perked coffee from, probably my aunt!? she always made it when she had company! 1w
JanuarieTimewalker13 @Cathythoughts thank you! oooh, it is!! Delish! I‘ve been drinking beans from Mexico that are roasted locally and ground. I had a coffee grinder, but it broke (twice), so I kind of gave up. I will buy a manual grinder one day! 1w

Holy Moly. This book was such an intricately woven yarn. One horrifically disturbing scene toward end...rape and extreme cruelty. Had that happened earlier in the book I may have DNF‘d it. Somehow, he had a way of allowing you to recover a bit before the end of the book, but you realize that the paranormal stuff is not the scary stuff, it‘s the depraved things some “humans” are capable of that are really the scariest elements of the story.

This is a dark park of American history I was unaware of. I started the physical book, got 77% in, and forwarded it to a friend, knowing I could finish up with audio. If you read this book, I would go with the physical copy. There are photos, notes and bibliography. Prepare to be disgusted with the horror of how some of the whites systematically killed the Osage for head rights. The FBI accounted for 24, but there were many, many more. #Oklahoma

Cathythoughts Great review! I have on Audible... I must get to it 4w
JanuarieTimewalker13 @Cathythoughts I liked listening to it, but if you can take a hard copy or ebook out of the library...you‘ll want to see photos. One photo speaks volumes...I don‘t want to say anything bc it‘s a spoiler. I think he mentions it in the book, but seeing the photo was powerful. 4w

I find I go into time warps when I read King. I stay up late, everything gets thrown off...I‘m a little over a third into this and it‘s a cool ghost story but very slow burn. And you know popcorn ends up all over the bed. C‘est la vie! Oh and false teeth were called Roebuckers? Hahahaha...dentures from Sears...he always gives some odd historical info. Love him.

Ashley_Nicoletto I love that about him. I always fall into his novels and when I emerge I‘m usually scared. 🤣🤣 1mo
JanuarieTimewalker13 @Ashley_Nicoletto hahaha...that happened a couple of nights ago, the ghost whispered “Oh, Mike” and I was was like, “Ok, I‘m going to bed before I start freaking out”. Lol, but once he‘s ok with the ghost, I became ok with her. Now I want letters for my refrigerator just in case anyone otherworldly wants to communicate with me. LOL if you haven‘t read this one yet, I recommend. 1mo

Reggie I can‘t really pinpoint why and maybe it was because I was in my early 20‘s but I really didn‘t care for this book. Which shocked me because I had liked every other book I had read by him at the time. And when I talk to a lot of people, this is their favorite of his!!🤷🏽‍♂️ 4w
JanuarieTimewalker13 @Reggie It‘s super slow. And it‘s over 500 pages. Youth is in a hurry. I‘m not sure I could do this in my 20s either. It‘s a little hard for me now bc it‘s Springtime, yet it rained last night and it was perfect setting for SK reading, yet I didn‘t read!! Great YA read set in Sydney. Francesca is starting an academy that was previously all boys. Her mom goes through a major depression. Her world is not the happy one it had been. marleed I read this post following your smelly fish Daisy comment. I‘m thinking if you could get your hands on the limited vinyl cover created for an England bookclub, you would have avoided the temptation to take a photo in a bowl of fish and chips! 4w
JanuarieTimewalker13 @marleed ok, I‘m missing something here....can you explain? (edited) 4w
marleed Your painted edge book is beautiful and I was thinking that I‘d too would actually read from the library copy. Then I thought of your comment about your Daisy Jones book retaining its beach smell as a reminder of your cool pic. Recently I saw a pic of a special English version of the Daisy book - in vinyl. How cool is that - I bet the owners of that version are waiting for their library to read. 4w
JanuarieTimewalker13 @marleed That is cool!! But the problem was the bottom of the pages...they wouldn‘t be able to be covered in vinyl...oh goodness, did that book stink!! I will never ever put a book in sand again, not sure what I was thinking. That vinyl edition sounds amazing! 4w

I had heard about this series awhile back, but never had interest in it. Subsequently, a booktuber reviewed it, liked it, and I decided to give it a go. It‘s the type of book that‘s a forgettable read, yet while you‘re reading it, you‘re engaged. I‘m not sure if I will continue on, although I do have the second book from the library already. It‘s between a So-So and Pick, but closer to a So-So.

JanuarieTimewalker13 It takes place in Manhattan in about 100 years in future. All of Manhattan resides in this one tower. It is intriguing, in an entitled teenage mystery way. It‘s definitely different from anything I‘ve ever read before. 3mo
