The second collection of articles from The Believer. Still some of the best essays I‘ve read. Some of these essays revolve around subjects I have zero interest in, but I find myself riveted nevertheless.

And that‘s a wrap! Just finished the Read Harder challenge and highly recommend it for those wanting to look at their reading for 2018. It was not so much reading outside my comfort zone & discovering new genres (though I enjoyed that), but becoming conscious of reading more widely. Seeking out local books, authors of colour, LGBTQ books, was rewarding & the micropress title was fantastic. #readharder
And it‘s only fair to share the fails along with the successes. Sorry Book Riot, my reading just took me in different directions than you this year.

Here's something book related! I filled out my completed @bookriot Read Harder Challenge form yesterday and sent it in so I could get that sweet sweet 30% store discount!
It‘s on #readharder2018 it‘ll be my first time and I‘m excited!!! I‘m most nervous about the comics - I‘ll be counting on my fellow littens for help there!

I have most of what I need planned now - apart from 'Books banned/challenged in your country". For banned in the UK, it's probably between Spycatcher, Lady Chatterley or Radclyffe Hall, none of which are particularly grabbing me. Maybe I need to try challenged books...?

Books read in 2016: The List. My goal was 50, and I had a major slump this year in which I only read ONE BOOK IN THREE MONTHS. Unheard of. But I got my groove back and I'm ready for next year!
