There's been a lot of mixed reviews on this but it was my kind of suspense novel. Nothing super creepy or scary. A great whodunnit. And the audio was👌🏽😃📚🎧❤️

Did this one on audio. Narration was perfection. Story itself- unbelievably hard & heartbreaking.

We're still not feeling 100%, hence the beach towels on the ground in case our little guy can't make it to the bathroom. So far they haven't been needed🙏🏽 Finally able to focus & starting this tonight✈️

I haven't had much time to read this week because a super nasty virus ripped thru our family this week😬🤢But I had to take advantage of everyone sleeping so I could finish the last 30 pages. This book is hard to explain. It's not like anything I've ever read before- lyrical, unexpected, sad, determination- those are some of the words that come to mind. Felt completely different from my norm but I enjoyed it.

Finished this on audio today. I think I would've been a super slow reader had I read this in print, she gave a lot of background on her culture & country which was interesting but I sometimes lost focus but I see how it all helped to bring better understanding to what led up to her shooting.

SO. GOOD. Such a great mystery. I thought it was a well told story, didn't feel rushed & the characters felt well developed. I completely enjoyed it. Audio was great 🎧

I give it 3/5. I enjoyed the premise but it felt really drawn out & yet lacking somehow. But was fun to escape into their world for awhile.

Finished this on audio today. I haven't been in the mood for "heavy" reading, so this was perfect. Although the storyline did pull at my heartstrings.

Baseball season is in full swing & life is chaotic with 3 boys playing. But today I made myself sit down & finish this book. So fun! And I picked up book #2 from the library this morning. 😃📚

I listened to this all in one day. I couldn't stop. Was so good. And of course all the song references was perfection. I still own about a dozen cassette tapes & half are mix tapes but no way to listen to them. Feeling nostalgic💜

I'm seeing mixed reviews on this one. I'm having a real hard time following on audio. Would this be better in print? Or maybe just set aside for awhile? 🤔

Subject matter is difficult- teen suicide. But audio was good. Apparently it's going to be a Netflix miniseries?

Sorry- seems like everyone liked this book. And while I love stories w/different POVs & timelines & even unlikeable characters, by the end I was just left so frustrated & angry that I was relieved to be done with the story. 😬🙈

Aside from the crazy amount of "F" words, this was a good mystery. She wove a lot into the story, felt like I got a great look into all the characters. This is my first Tana French novel & looking forward to reading the rest. I have her latest book patiently waiting for me to catch up:)

Finished this in 3 days which is fast for me. Such an intriguing story told from multi POV's, I couldn't stop reading. I can't believe this is her debut! There's this undercurrent of sadness throughout the whole book & the ending is left open but that is real life. All of our choices, big or small, shape our lives.

This is book 2 of the trilogy & I have loved following these 3 sisters & experiencing life in the '60's thru their eyes. Looking forward to book three. 📚

Finished this on audio today. Wow. I'm always amazed at people's grit & determination especially when everything seems to be against them. Heartbreaking yet hopeful. I didn't know they made a movie based on her life. Gonna check it out.

Forgot to take a pic of the book before taking it back to the library. But as a Hospice nurse myself, I appreciated this Chaplain's experiences with her various patients as they navigated the last days/months of their lives. From my own experience I can definitely say that it is unbelievably humbling to be a part of a hospice team❤️ A great read for every human.

It's the same kind of crazy & unbelievable mayhem that I've come to expect from this series. AND I'm completely ok with it all!🙃 Sometimes my brain needs a break😄

Heartbreaking story about a Nigerian family who's father is strict and abusive in the name of religion. I only have two more books to be caught up with what Chimamanda has written 💜

I thought this little book packed so much depth about family, relationships, secrets & heartaches. I didn't realize how much I loved it until I finished it. It's just a wonderfully told story❤️

Not my typical genre but didn't matter because it was such a great story! Loved alternating POV's and timelines. It was interesting being able to see how all these characters were connected by one central character. Cool story👌🏽

What a touching memoir about growing up with an abusive father. And how learning about his maternal grandfather leads Alan to confront his own father about the abuse he & his brother & mother endured. Listened to this on audio, he does such a great job.

Oh.My.Days! How do I put into words my feelings for this book? The fact that I sacrificed sleep to finish it, says SO much. Thankful I left this one for last so I could savor each page. It took me a little time to get a feel for the rhythm of the story but once I settled in, the journey was delightful. This was read slowly & with my Webster Dictionary app close by😉I have a feeling I'll be thinking about Count Alexander Rostov for awhile❤️
