First half of 2023 is done. Goodreads and StoryGraph don't agree on the amount of books I've read. StoryGraph doesn't count DNF books.

Anyway, lots of books read. Still, neither #MountARC nor #MountTBR have eroded in any way. I must be doing this reading thing right. 😁😁

I'm definitely committing to too many challenges for next year! I won't be reading all of these, and several #doubledip and some #tripledip, but this is what each one looks like at the mo!

#52bookclub2023 isn't finished yet, as not all the prompts have been released and I'm also probably going to try to do #pop2023 as well! 😂😂😂

IndoorDame I always commit to way too many challenges! But I‘ve vowed to do better this year so I can read more of what I already own. 🤞🏼I manage to follow through 😂 1y
Bookwormjillk Haha me too, but I promised myself I will try to use what‘s already on my list instead of adding more. 1y
tdrosebud I always go for too many as well. They help me out of my comfort zone. And for me, it's okay if I don't finish them (though this is a more recent development). The goal is for me to read more. And I love the act of planning for them, even if I stray from the plan. 1y
julieclair I commit to too many as well, and then each month I pick and choose among them. But my (impossible) dream is to read every single book I have planned. 🫠 1y

Me trying to figure out my #roll100 and other challenges and books I just really want to read first…feeling a little overwhelmed tbh.

Ruthiella Take it step/challenge at a time maybe? We readers love our books but they can also overwhelm. ❤️ 2y
Pogue Bone Gap start with Bone Gap. I loved that book. 2y
Gissy But all those books look so pretty together!! 📚📚📚🙌😍 2y
Laughterhp I see lots of great books on those stacks! 2y

I'm a 100% unapologetic reading challenge addict, so my goal for #JumpStart2022 is to actually read the books that fit with January's challenges! 😂 If I can stick with them, I will make a serious dent in the unread books on my own shelves, which is one of my big goals for this year. I'm SO excited about filling in some blanks in my shiny new bujo!!!!

Thanks for hosting @Clwojick @Lizpixie !!!

Clwojick Woohooooo! I finished my first book during my night shift, and I immediately pulled out my bullet journals to fill out a bunch of prompts. So satisfying to finally start checking them off and filling them in! 2y
TheAromaofBooks @Clwojick - It's SO good to connected to other people just as crazy as I am 😂 2y

I must be deep in the "between Christmas and New Year's" cycle because my mind is not working for me at all ? I want to get my 2022 challenges ready but I can't seem to remember who had what going on ?

Who has challenges coming up? You guys are all in the know, what you got for me? ?

@Clwojick @TheAromaofBooks @Lizpixie @TheSpineView @Andrew65

Andrew65 @Clwojick @Lizpixie are doing the month long #JumpStart2022 Readathon. 2y
Andrew65 I‘m doing the #NewYear #20in4 which runs from Thursday 30th Dec - 3rd Jan, and then the Jan #20in4 will run from 28th - 31st Jan. The nine day set your own goals challenge #JoyousJanuary runs from 8th - 16th January. 2y
See All 12 Comments
Andrew65 @Librarybelle @BarbaraBB will be running the year long #ReadingAfrica2022 challenge. 2y
TheSpineView I am doing the SeriesRead challenge again in 2022. Anytime you read a book during the year that is in a series, post a review and tag me @TheSpineView use the hashtag #SeriesRead2022 for a chance to win a bookish prize at the end of the year. 2y
TheAromaofBooks I posted a bunch of bujo pages last week with both Litsy and non-Litsy challenges, but some of the ones that I know about (not already mentioned) - @Clwojick is hosting a few... #TBRDeckofCards, #Pantone2022, & #AestheticallyMatched. @PuddleJumper is doing #Roll100 where you start with a list of 100 books & read whatever numbers are rolled for that month. @megnews is hosting #RoadTripUSA2022 to try and read all 50 states. 2y
TheAromaofBooks @nessavamusic is hosting #NoShameReadathon22 trying to read subgenres from several genres. @Librarybelle is hosting #19822022Challenge where you try to read a book published every year from 1982 to 2022. @lauredhel is hosting #Fourfoursin22 where she has 16 words that you try to read to match. @jb72 is hosting @22booksin22 which is basically what it sounds like lol @AsYouWish is hosting #WickedWords 2y
TheAromaofBooks Sooo those are the Litsy ones I know about. 😂 I'm also doing several not-Litsy ones unofficially just because I think they sound like fun, and I mostly do them “backwards“ where I read books and see what prompts they filled. I'm most excited about the OWLs where you try to get good “grades“ for each class by checking off prompts, but if you find the bujo pages I posted, there is more info on all the challenges. Hopefully this helps instead ⬇ 2y
TheAromaofBooks of overwhelms 😂 I get a little challenge-crazy because I LOVE THEM!!! 2y
FantasyChick @TrishB @TheSpineView @Andrew65 Thank you!!! I remember seeing some of these but could not think of what any were 😁 2y
FantasyChick @TheAromaofBooks Ahhhh!!!! Roll100 was one I knew I wanted to do! I knew a challenge crazy litten or two would come through 😁😁 I swear my mind is jello right now haha. I wanted to do a few of these challenges so thank you for this! 2y

Here‘s my progress for #theunreadshelfproject. I finally read a book for the October reading challenge but I haven‘t decided on a book for November‘s reading challenge so it looks like I will have to add on another book to my TBR because I‘m trying to catch up. I fell behind in October. I forgot about the November challenge.

Long story short, there are some answers about my problem knee, but there‘s no resolution yet. More on that later. Meanwhile, I‘m walking as much as I can tolerate, and some days that‘s more than others. ⬇️

I‘d like to read at least eight books and participate in the photo challenges as many days as possible.

Not book or fitness related, I want to discuss distribution of my tasks upon retirement, but that‘s a whole other story!

#bfc21

Susanita I would say I‘d also like to work on my sleep habits, but since I‘m posting this at nearly midnight, maybe that‘s not off to a good start. 3y
wanderinglynn Great goals! 🙌🏻 And I hope you get a resolution on your knee. 💚 3y

Signing on up for #booked2021, along with my own challenge #fourfoursin21, and mayyyybe #monthlykeywordgxo and #monthlymotifgxo too

I like reading challenges, ok??

The seasons don't match with ours so I'll need to figure out whether to do what I did last year (start with summer), or just pretend it's winter!

The first two prompts are a complete gimme, being an Australian SF reader :)

@cinfhen @4thhouseontheleft @barbarathebibliophage

Cinfhen Woohoo 🙌🏻🎉read however you like, any season anytime or u can read any prompt from any season.... just have fun!! Im thinking of using this prompt for #SetInAustralia 3y
Lauredhel @Cinfhen oh good one, I have such a fear of fire I might skip that! Thinking about 3y

LibrarianRyan

Hey all those participating in #BBRC.

I did a little something today. I added the BBRC to The Story Graph. If you haven't looked at The Story Graph yet, it's like Goodreads, but I like it more.

Plus it makes it easy to join and log challenges. Much easier than trying to find old emails and log ins to Google docs.

Our challenge is here: https://beta.thestorygraph.com/reading_challenges/5ed0bcc4-88a3-4b41-a8ed-74056b...

Any ?s just ask.

LibrarianRyan @Mandigolightly Yeahh. Me to. I'm still getting things added. My new reading as added but I am using today to get as many of my challenges in as possiable.

@ChrissyReadIt - Did you get my package? It's been crazy and I just want to check.
3y
Chrissyreadit Not yet 3y
LibrarianRyan @Chrissyreadit It should be there soon then. CWarnier got hers a few days ago and I mailed them all at once. 3y
BookwormAHN I just joined. It looks great 😺 3y
Lovesbooks87 I can‘t get the books added to my challenge. I click on a book and which prompt it belongs to but when I go to my page it says I am still at 0% of the challenge. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ 3y
Librarybelle I‘ll have to check this out - thanks! 3y
LibrarianRyan @Lovesbooks87 once you check the prompt you have to go to the very bottom and hit save. I did the same thing at first. 3y
Deblovestoread Joined! Now, to add my books.... 3y
Butterfinger I am the same as @Lovesbooks87. I saved after I added. I guess I just need to play around with it. 3y

My blog has been falling by the wayside with two little kids to chase around, so I decided to keep track of my personal reading challenges in my bullet journal for the first time. I had fun setting up these pages. Now I just need to remember to keep them updated! 😀

BucklingBookshelves Is the Jennifer Holm list the challenge where you focus on one author? I‘m still working on my Patrica Polacco list I started in 2018–haha! 4y
BucklingBookshelves I‘m doing the Unread Shelf Project, your Newbery Challenge, Modern Mrs Darcy, and a challenge from a new site I joined called Reshelving Alexandria. I think that might be my limit — which is kinda funny considering how many I used to join when blogging more! 📚📚📚 4y
smilingshelves @BucklingBookshelves Patricia Polacco has an awful lot of books! I couldn't decide between Jennifer Holm and Kate DiCamillo, so I ended up with one this year and one next year. Nothing like planning ahead! 😄 4y
smilingshelves @BucklingBookshelves Those sound like fun challenges. I know what you mean! This is way less than I used to do, but I'm all about trying to make my reading as pressure-free as possible these days! 4y
