I liked this Christmas special novella. It was set up like an Advent calendar of clues. Very clever and fun.

Ashely develops a crush on Emma's brother Adam, who is suspected of murder. The story unfolds in first person for the present day, and by diary entries for the 1989 Christmas visit. Overall, a very good novella.

pickI enjoyed the fables and the morals/lessons they displayed. Many of them resonated with me and made me stop and think. There were some repeat fables (the same story with the same characters and morals just written slightly different), but as a whole it was an expansive collection.

pickI never posted the rest of my #WinterGames reviews since I got sick the last week so bear with me here while I catch up
Overall I'm giving this interconnected series a pick, although some were better than others. Silent Knight was my favorite, it had childhood best friends reunited & made the best use of other characters from the series, making the small town setting feel real. There're two more books I didn't get to but will try to read next year
