Another series I'm rereading this year - absolutely LOVED the Swallows & Amazons books when I first read them, so I'm going through them again. This is the second book in the series, full of exploring, pirates, shipwrecks, mountain climbing, caves, and more! Every page was a delight.

I've been wanting to reread this series for quite some time, so I was pleased when the first book was chosen as this month's read for the #BakerStreetIrregulars, giving me an excuse to kick off the series reread!! This book was just as funny and entertaining as I remember, with just delightful characters and a romp of a mystery. I remember reading that Peters wasn't intending this to be a series originally, so this one ends with a HEA epilogue ⬇

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) but I'm definitely planning to reread the other 19 books in the series as well. Is it because I'm using this as an excuse to slowly purchase all of them in these gorgeous editions? No comment 😂

This was a cute RomCom with sexy scenes. The 1st of the series with twists that are supposed to be answered in the books following. I found a bingo spot and a line in the January #ISpyBingo and 2 spots in the March Bingo. Yep I'm still working on January February and March. @Clwojick @TheAromaofBooks #SeriesLove24 #ReadAway2024 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView @DieAReader @GHABI4ROSES

A colonel and his wife ask Phryne to check on their daughter, who they worry is being poisoned by her husband. Phryne travels to Australia and finds herself investigating not only the situation with the colonel's daughter, but other crimes as well, including a drug ring involving a Russian ballet family.

I always enjoy the Sloan Krause mysteries, and even this short novella didn't disappoint! Sloan and Garrett are looking forward to the spring farmer's market and working on some collaborations with local businesses, a couple of infuencers, and the beer they brew at Nitro. When a visiting hiker dies at the local hostel, though, Sloan and Garrett help Chief Meyers figure out what happened.

Last book completed during the month of March. I couldn‘t finish another book. Second book read from the Women‘s Prize Fiction long list.
A family saga during Sri Lanka war. So hard and sad. I searched for some information about this time and it was terrible, so many people died, so long this war lasted😢 💔
Beautifully written but hard to read. 4.5/5⭐️

BarbaraBB Great review. I am reading this now as well. 2w
Gissy @BarbaraBB Looking forward to read your reaction. I haven‘t read the other books in the long list and I don‘t know what judges are looking in those novels but I think this one pass to the short list. 2w

As most of the thrillers I have read but I continue loving this genre😂it has some unrealistic parts. One event was pretty predictable but that last twist was a surprise to me. I enjoyed this story. A fast pace reading. First time I read a book by this author but I have a couple of books by him but started with this new release🤷🏽‍♀️☺️ 3.8⭐️

This is a collection of short stories about “despair and desire in the modern day Ireland” (book blurb). As always in my experience, some short stories are better than others. But I can say that what I like in all of them was author‘s writing style to describe the places, so atmospheric. Love the characters voices and love this cover. This the first time I read a book by this author, definitely it would not be the last one 3,5⭐️
