Johnny Smith is an ordinary young man. After four and a half years in a coma, Johnny Smith can now scan the minds, the pasts, and the futures of certain others through a single touch. It is a gift he does not want and a fate he cannot escape.

Finished in August for #LosersClub

This was a reread. Another favorite of mine.

Loved hearing more about MJF double duty filming of ‘Family Ties‘ & ‘Back to the Future‘.

My only complaint was that the Audible copy was an Abridged version (4.5 hrs as opposed to the 8+ hrs).

95/100 I guess if I had read the Absolute Power storyline before this, it would have made more sense, but even without that, it's still a solid story. I liked most of the art, but the section on Darkseid's creation of the Absolute Universe had some of the ugliest art I've ever seen in a DC comic. It looked like very crude Jack Kirby imitation. 3.5/5 ⭐ #Read2025 #SeriesLove2025

I'm catching up on this series. This is 16.5. A novella about Cindy, trying to solve a murder while Clair takes a holiday. A good Novella. #Read2025 @DieAReader

Finished for #ChildrensClassicRead2025 I‘m sure I read this back in middle school but revisiting it in October was perfect for the season. I meant to reread The Crucible as a companion, but ran out of time. Amazing what havoc a group of young girls started, perpetuated by the patriarchy & resulting in the unnecessary imprisonment, ruin & death of so many. Jackson breaks in down in a way that is accessible to all.

TheBookHippie I feel it‘s so well done. It‘d be wonderful in a classroom. 4d
julieclair I was planning to read this, too, but finished reading The Manningtree Witches (similar story, but in England) and decided I needed a break from witch trials for awhile. Too sad. @TheBookHippie 4d

I don't know how I feel about this. I was interested, touched, horrified, bored. It was too much war story for me, but I learned a lot. Overall, I liked the two MCs too much to DNF. Also, it gave me a whole new perspective on the cartoon Stop That Pigeon 😂

First finish of #10BeforeTheEnd for me is this, the second in the Olga Pushkin Mysteries series. I like Olga as a character, and enjoyed this gentlest unfolding murder mystery, but, oh, the cliffhanger ending 😱

Finished for October‘s #FictionalTraveler #Trees prompt, I quite liked this first book of the Crown Colony series set in 1930‘s Singapore. Su Lin, a young Chinese-Singaporean woman whose childhood bout with polio has made her walk with a limp & be considered “unlucky.”. Her uncle is trying to marry her off while her dreams are bigger. I like Sun Lin & her perspective on race & class & colonialism in Singapore. The ⬇️

DebinHawaii … mystery (solving the murder of a young female servant in the Acting Governor‘s house) had twists & while I had it figured out before the end, still had me guessing. I‘m going to read the second book (tagged below) for our #FictionalTraveler November prompt #Asia (edited) 4d

Still catching up on October reviews, finished this one last week for #ThematicCozies October #Paranormal I meant to read this one (Book 6) + Book 7 in the Sonoma Witches series but just had time for this one, set a garden show in a witchy town where Alma goes to solve the murder if a colleague. Even though it‘s been a couple of series since I left off in this series I was able to pick back up & overall I enjoyed it.

julieclair Glad you enjoyed it! 4d
