Night Shift | Stephen King

Pickpick

I enjoyed very much 14 of 20 of the short stories in this collection. They are topics that we have seen in oldie movies. In some short stories I used the audiobook with physical book and the narrator was great. Even when I didn‘t enjoy much some stories I still like how Mr. King develop the characters, so many psychological aspects and how well he describe those scenes. Always critic in everything related with memorial services. 4⭐️

Gissy Love those old editions😍 Read during:

TheNeverendingTBR Gray Matter and Graveyard Shift are so good 4mo
Gissy @TheNeverendingTBR Those two short stories were included in the audiobook and the narrator was excellent. I really liked Graveyard shift. This month the book that we are going to discuss is Different Seasons. I‘m waiting for my copy to arrive because I really like those old hardcovers but sometimes they are hard to find or too expensive. I never thought I would be SK fan. But here I‘m🤗 4mo

Another evolving graphic. I‘ve been bad at checking in on my challenges during the month so I threw it all together for the end of the month. Only the future will tell if this changes.

Clwojick @5feet.of.fury the first one was my least favourite, but still enjoyable. The second was my favourite, and the third following shortly after that. I definitely preferred Rhys‘ story to Tamlin‘s. ❤️ 4mo

#JoyousJanuary

I completely forgot to update on Monday. I finished Demon Copperhead and David Copperfield, a result in itself #chunksters
Bailed on An intro to English poetry 😴
Still dipping into Holly McNish's delicious anthology and the tagged.
I did get distracted by 2 excellent #Netgalley reads Weyward and The wheel of the year.

All on all, a success. Although the journal still awaits 🙈

@Andrew65

Andrew65 That‘s brilliant, well done 👏👏👏🙌🍾🥂🥳🥰 I think we all get distracted at times 🤷‍♂️ 4mo

My stats for the #JoyousJanuary #readathon is here. Sorry it‘s late, we‘ve had a gastro bug go right through the house, I‘ve only just finished my bout of it. Fun times🤢 I managed 5 books with a total time of almost 46hrs. I‘m pretty happy with that. Also hit all 3 formats with physical, audio & digital books in the mix. Thanks again to our brilliant leader for the motivation🙌. Great start to the year💥

Andrew65 You never need to apologise, just post them whenever you are able. Sorry to hear you have all been ill again, hope you are feeling better now.
5 books and almost 46 hours is brilliant. Well done and thanks for playing along 👏👏👏🙌🥰🍾🥂🥳

What a fantastic follow up to the first book! I loved the first one and was not disappointed by its sequel.

This book picks up where the first one left off and is full of nonstop action and adventure. It is just as faced paced as the previous book.

A bit late with my #JoyousJanuary wrap up

My goals were:

• Finish Kintu ✔️
• Start Blood of Elves ✔️

I just managed to squeeze in starting blood of elves but I did get a couple of chapters in ☺️
I struggled to read much during the week this time (busy with course work outside of actual work) so hopefully have more time for febs readathon!

As always, thanks for hosting @Andrew65

Andrew65 Well done on what reading you did get in around coursework, that is a great achievement. Thanks for playing along 👏👏👏🙌🥳🍾🥂😍 4mo
