Today i am feeling the power of my privilege as someone with the time and ability to read! Having had access to the phenomenal Queens NYS library system was a game changer growing up, and i share my nature images often but the library will always be one of the coziest places i have existed. See you all in your posts!!! hope everyone has moments they can read and be cozy.
pickTo be fair I did not want to write a review because of my own internal conflicts…. I went into this not knowing it is specifically Christian fantasy. I started to wonder as i was reading it and visited goodreads. The good- it‘s an interesting story with decent writing- dreamwalking, the family has unusual dynamics, world building ok- But i am really angry with the christian nationalism occurring. 👇

pickI really enjoyed this cozy, spicy, supernatural rom com. Checked all the boxes for easy, breezy, escape from reality with an HEA.

I‘m working to find hygge- but I am reading. I‘m an hour from LA and so impressed with the actions of the protests. I will find a local #nokingsday protest to join, and try not to absorb so much news it feels overwhelming while enough to have accuracy of current events. I discovered reading with you tube ambiance screens- so will see where i end up at 8pm with book in hand. #summersolace

pickI loved this sweet Rom Com! Lucien‘s daughter calls in to a romance radio show- where the host, Aiden no longer believes in Romance. Book next to Odie- who lives up to his name. A very sweet hyperactive pup my SIL is fostering- he believes everyone is his bestie. He also believes reading should be secondary to playing with him. Luckily i have audio books too….
pickYes, i read this in a day. I discovered the fun that is youtube ambiance/Basgiath war college bedroom (dragons flying past window) I really think this author has promise- and wish there had been more background to the pieces of world building- I have no idea when the next two books are coming out so if you do not like cliffhangers hold off on this one!
pickI am currently about an hour south of Hollywood! I loved this version of Sense and Sensibility! A really fun retelling with some original storylines as well as still recognizable to Austen fans.
pickI‘m excited by all the reading i am able to do while on vacation. This is the latest in this cozy mystery series. I love that the siblings are grown up, Soibhan and McDara are still a great team and the mystery was a fun twist.

Went to The Buzzed Word bookstore - a bookstore and wine bar- So much fun to walk around with my wine and explore- it‘s tiny but you could tell people who work there love their job!
pickJust finished this morning. I honestly loved this book! it is not sweet and happy but does feel cozy. It feels like a more fleshed out Fairy Tale, but with humor. I loved the premise, the fairy stories sprinkled in and the way the book evolved. If you like actual Fairy Tales you may enjoy this! I would love to hear from anyone else who read it about their thoughts also!

pickI love love loved this book! Second book by this author and I really enjoy her style of Jane Austen‘s retellings. I will read her next book when it is available- Also i really felt like i was out on Suffolk County Long island. Soooo good.
pickThis was 1000% more spice than i‘m used to- and read for a local book club (i did know i was getting into the smut world) There was more story than i expected, I liked the characters more than i expected and ultimately liked this more than i expected. Still pure escape. Not great literature… but a fun story. It reminded me of Ann Rices Claiming of Sleeping Beauty which was the last time i read anything in this style (yes early 90‘s)
pickThis was a very fun road trip romance. No stress about the romance- just read and relax for your hea. Takes place in Ireland with such cute interactions. I love this for a happy cozy book.

pickI easily binged this series. The mysteries were fun and i enjoy the relationships between the various characters.
pickI love this series. I especially love listening to the audio of these cozy mysteries. The stories are formulaic but also entertaining.
pickSequel to The Bridge Kingdom. I loved the way this takes place in different settings. I enjoyed the side characters- thought this was fast paced and total escapism.

One of the activities for Indie bookstore day was a blinddate with a book bag. I chose the Sun and self care theme- it held all natural skin care and a very pretty copy of Beach Read- I was so bummed to get there in the afternoon when only 5 choices were left- there were so many cool themes to choose from! I love my local indie- Four Seasons in Shepherdstown WV.
My late post from yesterdays Indie Bookstore day- I was thrilled by how crowded it was! and a few books i was hoping to buy had sold out! But i still found some options and received a free arc!

pickI enjoyed the world building and characters in this book- although the trope is very tropey. (enemies to lovers) I wish i had a map- but there were sections that were very visual to read. I think it was fast paced but would have liked a bit more to parts of the story- also have some spoilery thoughts i won‘t type- overall recommend for an engaging fantasy/romantasy book.

I am alternating all day with reading, coffee, soup and cleaning. I am so happy to just be able to chill. The rain has stopped and joint pain eased- but ya know how tiring a week of pain is…. so resting and reading and laundry it is!

Today is dreary and wet but my bulbs are blooming and buds are growing- we are set for a freeze this week so today i will spend as much of the day in coziness and comfort as possible- reading from a few books.

Low pick for me. I have liked other books by Donnelly quite a bit and was a little disappointed in the writing style. I LOVE Beauty and the Beast and retellings- so was a excited to read a gender swapped version. I also liked the premise. I just was not pulled in and found it to be a little boring. It could also be just the timing…
pickI enjoyed the world building and found family camaraderie in this third book. The cliffhanger is a killer - i did not realize the last book has not been published yet and i may have waited to read this if i had known- I‘m thoroughly invested in these books.
