My #JulyWrapUp. Not too shabby, all things considered 🤗🤗🤗

The three blocked out are ones that I read a couple months ago and didn't get added when I completed them.

#24b4Monday Wrap-Up

My mom‘s been in town this week, so I didn‘t make 24 hours—but we both sat around and read on Friday, so I still ended pretty close. So, twenty hours, five five finished books, progress in two others, and I‘m happy.

Andrew65 That‘s a brilliant time, even more so if you had company. 🙌👏👏👏👍🎉🥳🎊 Well Done.😊 (edited) 4w

Here are my stats for the month of January. Since I've started school again my reading is going to take a tremendous dive so I'm going to be seeing lower numbers on these for the next few months or so. But I am happy to be back in school! It is very exciting to me. 📖🤓

December totals: 8 books finished, 1930 pages.

2018 totals (not 100%, as I only started tracking in May and had to rely on memory for the first part of the year): 62 books finished, 4 DNF, 18,498 pages.

I‘ve never set reading goals before, but I‘m having a go. I‘m also doing the Harry Potter buddy read. No number goal, but I want to continue to pick up momentum like I did this past year. Litsy has been a big help getting back into reading!

• 21 - wasn‘t sure I would finish my last book
• Day of the Dead - Nicci French; Saga Vol 5 - Vaughn/Staples; The Woman in the Woods - John Connolly
• All 3 are part of series. I‘d recommend all 3 series, but not the individual books unless they‘d read the rest
• I prefer it - let‘s do it again 🙂
• Definitely will participate again!

erzascarletbookgasm Love the view too. And well done for June! 14mo
Cinfhen That view!!!! Hubby & I are still toying with Crete in August ( I‘ll need to get tips from you) 14mo
Kalalalatja @Cinfhen that sounds lovely! We are staying near a little gushing village called Kolymbari/Kolymvari (the spelling changes depending where you look) about 25km from Chania. There isn‘t a lot going on here, but the hotel is great, and we got an upgrade because of some trouble with our room, so we are enjoying it a lot! 14mo
Cinfhen Thanks, we can‘t make up our mind because August is high season and rates are so inflated. We keep wondering if maybe we should go October instead (edited) 14mo
Cinfhen Have u ever been to Cyprus??? It seems more affordable in August???! 14mo
Kalalalatja @Cinfhen I haven‘t been, but I hear Cyprus is lovely! Also, the weather might be a bit more endurable in October. It is supposed to be really, really hot in August! 14mo
Cinfhen Truth is Israel has stunning beaches and gorgeous weather ( although VERY HOT) so it makes zero sense for us to travel to Greece during the crowded season 14mo
Cinfhen And after my 26 hour travel day this past Sunday, I‘m not so keen to get back on an airplane in August 😉 14mo
Kalalalatja @Cinfhen well, sometimes it is just about getting away from home (and chores!!!) that make vacation necessary, not the great beaches or weather. But I can imagine it makes it harder to choose where to go when you have everything you need in your own country. Denmark does have a lot of beaches, but without the warm weather, they aren‘t all that much fun 14mo
Kalalalatja @Cinfhen 26 hours!!! That‘s insane. Hope your jetlag isn‘t too bad? When are you going back to Israel again? 14mo
Cinfhen I totally agree!!! And that‘s what I keep telling my hubby. It‘s exploring new places and a change of scenery but airports are vacation #buzzKill😫 we fly back on July 23. I forced myself to stay awake last night, so I went to bed at 10:30pm and I woke up at 5:30 this morning ( much better than 2:20 am Yesterday) 14mo
Kalalalatja @Cinfhen they really are! We got stuck on a plane with three infants that weren‘t all that fond of flying. But luckily it was only a 3 hour flight, so no big deal. Hopefully you are past the worst of the jetlag now 🤞🤞 14mo
Cinfhen Thanks, Katja! Safe travels home 😘 14mo

QueenJen How does one become a full time book reviewer!? 1y

TheReadingMermaid @QueenJen it requires you to start your own business and do your own marketing and your own sales Etc. It requires much more than 40 hours a week of your time. It also requires extreme dedication. It is not for the faint of heart. And it is definitely not for the casual reader 😋 1y

Here's my #AprilWrapUp. I waited until today bc I had to finish the last tiny bit of Thicker Than Blood. 6 doesn't seem like a huge number, but Serial Killers Uncut was a huge collection of short stories, & Thicker Than Blood was technically a trilogy. Plus two alternate endings that were around 140-150 pages each. So I can deal with that 😊 I also read lots of picture books with Mari this month but don't have them listed here. #HopIntoSpring

For some reason, this April wasn‘t my best month, reading wise. I‘m short a few books this time around. I also didn‘t love anything, although my favorite would probably be The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend. #aprilstats #readingresolutions #wrapup #hopintospring #aprilwrapup #aprilbookishmadness

MissAimz_55 I had a bad april too in terms of number of books read. Vanishing acts is probably the only Jodi Picoult book that I didn't love 1y

Purrfectpages @MissAimz_55 yea, I was disappointed in Vanishing Acts. Glad it wasn‘t the first Jodi I read or I might not go back. 1y
