I‘ve been too caught up in the news and on Twitter today. I felt overwhelmed. I decided to start this book and have a big cup of tea. It was just what I needed. I am only through the prologue and it is a joy ❤️

Addison_Reads I just recently finished this one. I really enjoyed it; I hope you do too. 💙 2mo

I think audiobooks are the only way I am going to get any reading done this summer. Turns out, as your kids become teens but can‘t drive yet, all you do is shuttle them everywhere.

Mehso-so

I feel so-so about this one. It was pretty funny and a sweet YA romance. The time travel got old for me by the end though.

If I hadn‘t promised my friend to read this book I would totally bail. I am 60 pages in and annoyed. First, the author seems rather arrogant. Second, he keeps attributing difficult things in his life to an evil force 🙄

This book is overwhelming. I am pretty sure half of it is going over my head. I am trying though!

Blueberry I tried one of his books also and gave up. Had to sit with a dictionary to read it. 3mo
Mtroiano Have you read Life Together? It was dense too but only about 100 pages so a little more manageable 3mo

A great book about the four types of love. As with all CS Lewis books I read, I feel like I missed some of it. I am going to have to read it again to absorb more information.

Into the Wild | Jon Krakauer
Pickpick

I really enjoyed this book. I was fascinated not only by the life experiences of Chris McCandless but also the author Jon Krakauer. I think that there were a lot of parallels that Krakauer felt between himself and Chris. I am pretty sure I added this book 8 years ago to my to read list because I had watched the movie. I am glad I finally got around to reading it 😂

For my May book club we are reading the oldest book on our “to read” list. Mine is Into the Wild and I added it in 2011 😳 I can‘t be positive but I am pretty sure I bought this book around the same time I added it to my list. It has been sitting on my shelf for an embarrassingly long time. I am excited to finally read it!

I loved it! There is a lot of swearing so if that is not your thing I would skip this one. I just made sure the kids were never around when I was listening to the audiobook. I thought the magic was interesting and the story was a lot of fun. It‘s a pick for me.

Have you ever got an audiobook and then did not care for the voice of the narrator? I feel terrible every time this happens because it has nothing to do with the book or even the narrator. It‘s not you, it‘s me. For some reason I was not into the audiobook on this one. I couldn‘t even make it to an hour. I returned it and will just pick up the hard copy instead.

I read David Cullen's book Columbine last year and was deeply moved. My understanding is that this book, Parkland, is an account of the survivors and their decision to start the March for Our Lives movement.
