I really enjoyed this book! The author's use of "Caravaggio" as a descriptor created a vivid and immersive atmosphere. Reminds me of my times in Mexico growing up. ??

Might be able to finish this one during my #HyggeHour. Just got everything ready, mostly documents, for my first day of work tomorrow. I haven't worked since November 30th, so hopefully, orientation will go well.
I'm going to read in bed under my heated blankets with my babies adding some weight to my legs 🩷💜🐶🦞

My Libby Loan came in just in time for errands! #AudioCommute started.
- Surround Myself with Something Beautiful: I got some beautiful St. Patrick's Day flowers :)
- Self Care: It turns out I didn't have immunity to Hep B, so I got my first set of vaccine
- Treat Myself: I got a “Get In Loser“ drink from Starbucks and bought an electric Kettle
- Reading more of Mexican Gothic
- Game: Maybe Sims? Not Sure Yet.
Getting my second infusion today. It‘s going well so far and I‘m able to read a bit :) ~~~ this was part of the Anthology 2023 collection 💜💛💜
I liked this one, but not as much as book one. Book one drew me in. This one, the mystery/murder story was a little lack luster. But I loved the characters, which, of course, is why I am going to continue with this series! I really like all the old-timey rules and staff in it.
I finished my rat (#AudioCrochet).
#NextInSeries
JuJuB had a f/u appointment for his eye surgery about 2 hours' drive from my home, so ... I could start and finish this one today.
Wow, I didn't guess the ending. I enjoyed all the twists and turns! I need to pick up more of Agatha's works!
#BlameItOnLitsy @Morr_Books you were right about this narrator!

@TheAromaOfBooks
(JuJu's eye surgery is healing well. his next f/u is 3-6 months --- my baby boy is doing really well).
While chatting on Zoom, @Morr_Books recommended this narrator. I had Audible credits to spare, and I've been meaning to read more Agatha Christie, so it felt like fate!

One chapter in and maybe it's due to the weather, but I'm feeling Texas-home sick right now. I think I should buy an indoor bougainvillea plant to liven up my space. This picture is the image that comes to my mind when the main character's home is described.

So, I loved it! I fell back in love with Bunnicula :)
Anyway, after our Zoom chat yesterday (@AlwaysBeenALoverOfBooks @PageShifter @UWannaPublishMe @Morr_Books) I thought maybe it's time to re-look at LibraryThing. I got an account a while back (can't even remember when) and never got around to using it. After hearing y'all praise it, I thought it was worth a try.

I've been meaning to read this one for a while now. Joshua and I went to Mystic recently and found this super cute bookstore (Alice's Little Haunted Bookshop), and I had to pick it up :) The store had such a great vibe!
Anyway, this was one of many books I bought here.
Okay, since I #DNF'd the other one on my #ReadYourKindle books, I decided to start this one :)
@CBee
So, I tried, but I did not want to pick this one up when I had time to read. I felt like there might have been a “good“ story in there, but all the jargon and just info dump took me out of the story that was trying to develop. So.... #DNF

Got this magnet at Mystic Aquarium, thought it was super cute :)
This was cute. I like the theatrical way it was done (those Audible Originals do a great job). This had a lot about love, relationships, and all that great stuff, but in a cutesy, not overly done way. (Not generally into romance).

Still practicing my #AucioCrochet stuff :)
Hmm. This might not even get to 20% mark
My #DoubleSpin book pick this month. This is an Audible original I downloaded a while back and just never “got to it“. #AudibleBackLog
So far I am really loving the banter between the 2 main characters :)
@TheAromaOfBooks
This one was tough. Some of these stories resonated with me, but others felt like they were just mean-spirited.
During my hematology appointment, I had planned on reading but found it uncomfortable, so I ended up listening instead.

Recently, I've been enjoying these types of books. Thanks to this group, I moved it up on my reading list. I just downloaded book two on Libby. ❤️❤️🎧❤️❤️

Just finished reading this book and it was really good. I was pleasantly surprised by the unexpected twist at the end.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Its plot was quite unusual and could divide readers into loving or hating it. However, I found myself completely immersed in the story and unable to put it down as it became more surreal. I stumbled upon a review that used the term 'black licorice' to describe this type of book, which I thought was quite clever.

Spent my #HyggeHour reading this one, indulging in a glass of wine and having a nice candle burning. I was a little cold (even with my heated blanket) so I was wearing my hand warmers :)

I listened to this audio book during my commute to take my baby JuJuB for his surgery appointment. Now, I'm stuck waiting and feeling anxious. The book was quite interesting, with its COVID lockdown theme. Even though I didn't have to experience a lockdown due to the nature of my job, I can imagine I would have gone stir-crazy if I had to. #AudioCommute #AudibleBacklog
I have finished reading this book. While I took some notes, I still need to organize and input them into my planner so that I can work on my goals effectively. Additionally, I need to review the attached PDF materials to see if there is anything else that I need to extract from them. #SelfCareIsNotSelfish
This was just an alright book. I figured out who the killer was as soon as he was introduced, which was disappointing because I usually don't guess that quickly. However, I really enjoyed the sister witches and their different powers.

My #TherapeuticThursday was spent at the orthopedic office (my leg is healing, but I have significant ligament damage to my ankle - which ... I mean... pain - so I guessed it). Anyway, Today #FillYourCupFriday. I am going to continue to take it easy (especially since it snowed yesterday), just got back from PT and having a PCP and Therapy appointment via zoom soon. What are y'all doing to “fill your cup“?
#SelfCareIsNotSelfish
So, this one (of course) ended a bit abruptly - being only Vol 1; but... I don't know if it caught me enough to even care to read Vol 2 (it's not currently available on Libby - so I would have to “look“ for it). Oh well. It was “eh“. #LibbyLoan #NotAnotherGraphicMonday
This was a great listen. I really enjoyed the Netflix of it too. ( #BookToScreen) It did make me feel very sad though that this might be something (even if it is a bit exaggerated) that girls may go through similar experiences.
Doing some #AudioCrocher while listening to this one. As a non-mom and very far removed from high school… I hope if‘s super exaggerating the “bump n grind” thing… But… I do remember in college football players would drop things and myself and the other cheerleaders might not have realized what they where doing😡

@Chrissyreadit poated the quiz and I knew I had to take it.

I never really considered myself a feminist. Although I have very strong opinions about women's rights, I was not sure of the label. However, reading the descriptions of the different types of feminists was helpful in identifying which group I belong to.
