Got the first one as well for my drive
This one is also for my drive (but it‘s really short so I might finish it today/tomorrow while packing.
So.. I just couldn‘t stop listening to this one! It was so so good! It‘s heartbreaking the suffering these women faced, yet they persisted and fought on.
So this book was going to be my drive home book (Saturday I‘m doing a 3 day drive back to Texas from Connecticut). But I listened to see if I can handle the voice (that is a make or break for me with audiobooks) and I got hooked! I‘m already several chapters in :) it‘s a griping story!
I loved this book. It was shocking that some of the stories that helped shaped them are things I have in some way dealt with myself. Made me be a little more introspective on some of my interactions with people.
I struggle with this
Starting this one in between laundry loads :)
So it‘s not that I didn‘t like it but... I wanted to have an answer. The story was good but I wanted an ending. I didn‘t hate it. But didn‘t love it. I say it‘s a pick but if you are picky with a full story it‘s not for you.
So I picked this up at the car dealership when I was getting new tires (I had finished the book I was currently working on). Anyway, review here aren‘t too great.... but.... I am really enjoying it so far... I think it‘s right up my alley :)
I decided to give this one a listen. I read it probably more than 20 yrs ago. I saw my copy when I was at home and meant to bring it with me on assignment but I‘m guessing I had forgotten it. So listening it would be the next best :) also this is my fav Stephen King movie back in middle school times :)
So this Audio book was super short and great! I was thinking girl wash your face would be what this one was. (Didn‘t like the girl one but loved this one). Also if you search online there are a bunch of free worksheets that correspond with the book
So I kinda feel like I‘m doing a disservice to myself by listening to the audiobook. I do read it when I have my lunch break but I am frequently interrupted so it kinda sucks with all that at times :/ anyway I can follow along a little and go back and look at all the cool stuff afterwards though
So... I did like this one. But didn‘t love it (I wish there was a category between so so and pick) . Anyway all in all I‘m glad I read it :)
