After checking how far behind I was for #readaroundtheworld , I came across this wickedly delightful #crime #novel set in #Argentina.
Though I wanted to borrow the paperback from the library, the fast-paced story kept me glued and tapping the screen with #overdrive

Journey through #crime #mystery #thrillers continues for #LitWorld2018GB

From Vaseem Khan's upright Detective with a pet baby elephant, no less (!) - India
To another series new to me, set in Laos

BellaBookNook I read the Unexpected... and really enjoyed it. Hope you do too. 13mo
BookishMe @BellaBookNook I did... Especially with the elephant's antics! I was chuckling when it was pulled up the escalator and then Poppy's pampering in the flat ;p The other Indian Detective series i enjoyed is by Tarquin Hall. Have you read 13mo
BellaBookNook I am so glad you liked it! I laughed a lot too especially his relationship with his mother in law! I have not read The Case of the Man Who died Laughing. Have you read it? I do own The Case of the Missing Servant. But I haven‘t read it yet. Right now I am enjoying book and audiobooks of Silk Worm (#2). 13mo
BookishMe @BellaBookNook I have read the entire series by Tarquin Hall and loved the books! The Missing Servant made me want find out more about the Partition and the aftermath. 13mo

Tagged book set in England - the aristocracy make a delightful source of humour

The Marathon Conspiracy was slow moving but I thoroughly enjoyed the setting in Ancient #Greece. Have picked the first title in the #series to read more about the life back then, and get acquainted with renowned names from the Hellenic history.

🎦 To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life.
(Finally watched Walter Mitty last night. This replaced Carpe Diem I had in mind)

While most of his plots are not so memorable, this is one wedding etched in my memory. I have yet to come across a more beautiful and meaningful #IdoIdoIdoIdo in books, at least.
I enjoyed this gentle plot twist so much that I still can't read the more popular prequel, The Notebook.

Rhymes are form of poetry right 😊😉😊

A timeless inspiration for me. I like how the verses are realistic while brimming with #Positive reminders.

The detested Waiting Room, the place of frustration, hand-wringing, anxiety and fret, is integral part of Life. Yet we are reminded it's not permanent and better things continue to wait for us. #poetryMatters
