The Halloween game was cut short for me. I'm sorry. I had a lot of trainings to do. Short staffed. I accept to help the department.
But I found some time to read Stay Awake. I loved it. There was so many twist. Some I saw coming others were harder to predict. The main character had some kind of amnesia and she wakes up in a taxie with a knife and blood.

The Amytiville vibe.
This book follow a young woman, that decides to buy Black Wood. It's been on the market for years because the family that lives there had a tragedy. The mother was murdered by her husband. The only survivor was their daughter. The neighbors want to have the house bulldozer.
Along the book we try to figure out if the house is really haunted or is it the neighbors?

I really like this book. It's a "who done it" and "everyone is a suspect" story. In the town of Black Harbour, the body of a teenager is found and another is missing. Axel (detective) and Rowan thought they knew their daughter but as the investigation goes on they discover their daughter is not who they thought she is. ?

Josie and Alix are birthday twins. While listening to Alix podcast, Josie believes she would make a great subject for Alix next story. Josie, after all is ready for big changes in her life and she wants to have it documented. Her, truth, is far more darker and sinister.
Clever and addicting, by far my favorite book by her. It did not disappoint.
