Signed up for the first time ever! I have no genuine clue how this works- but I‘m home all day and have both audio and physical books to read while I cook and clean- so this can work right? #deweysreadathon #newbie #cluelessreader

xicanti It‘s super easy and fun—just read as much as you can over the next 24 hours! 1mo
heelsnglitter Lots of my readathons have been spent listening to audiobooks and cleaning! Trust me - it's still fun! 😁 1mo

Hey all! Newbie here 😀 these are some of the books I‘ve read in the past few months, but wanted to get more involved in the book world this year! As a licensed mental health counselor, my profession impacts many of my book choices, but I also enjoy getting lost in the world of fiction ✨ hoping to bring a little mix of both to this page with my upcoming reads! #newbie #botm #mentalhealth

BarbaraBB It is very nice. There are six prompts for each quarter of the year and you read a book that fits that prompt and share on Litsy. It‘s easy going and fun. I‘ll tag @Cinfhen here, one of the organizers. She knows all 😀 11mo

MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm Welcome to Litsy!! ❤️ It‘s hands down the absolute best form of social media I have ever come across. I hope you enjoy it! I loved 1984, it was one of the few books they made us read in school that I actually enjoyed. 😅 11mo
Pigpen_Reads @MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm Thank you! It seems like a good place to be. I feel so welcomed here 🙂 This is my first time reading 1984, I didn't read it in school. 11mo
MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm @Pigpen_Reads Welcome! I hope you end up enjoying the book. 😊 Do you have a favorite book from school? I‘m always curious to find out what is considered required reading in other places and what people actually enjoyed. 😅 11mo

Pigpen_Reads @MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm Hi! I read Number the Stars in 6th grade. It really stuck with me for years. I have now had my own kids read it. I would say it's a favorite of mine 🙂 10mo
MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm That‘s one I haven‘t read yet! I‘ll have to check it out. ❤️ 10mo

Hello , I‘m Jo and new to the app. I just started to read this yesterday, I‘m currently on chapter 4, and it‘s already starting off with some interesting stuff... can‘t wait to read what happens next! #firstpost #newbie #thrilled

Andrea4 How are you liking it so far? 11mo
Babyjo At the beginning I thought it was already interesting now I‘m fully involved in the main characters, and I‘m hoping for a good plot twist! @Andrea4 did you enjoy this book? What other books would you recommend? 11mo

Good morning everyone! Guess I‘ll be finishing this book up today....one of the many I leave unfinished....bad habit of mine. Anyway I‘m one day old here and So far I‘m LOVING this app...I already love reading but I want to read even more and you guys are already inspiring me to do just that, so I just want to say a big hello to all of you 👋🏾🤓. #newbie

Curiouser_and_curiouser Welcome to Litsy! I'm sure you're going to love being part of our little community. And about starting books & not finishing them, I do this also, & way too often! I think its like when you're at a smorgasbord & there are sooooo many things to try, we have a bite of each. So don't feel bad, you're just taste testing until you find the perfect flavour! Then you will know because you will continue to pick that same book up and read it til it's over! 2y

New to Litsy and very excited to have discovered it especially as I am rekindling my love of reading again. With a busy lifestyle I always made excuses but I am making the time for me now and loving getting lost in a book 🥰

I wasn‘t sure if I was going to enjoy it as a few of the topics are a little disturbing but I‘m gripped!

Early Riser | Jasper Fforde

I have a couple of questions about litsy that have nothing to do with the book i am curently reading.

1.) Why am I limited to 451 characters in Reviews. I understand the limitation in blurbs and quotes. But reviews?!! I need more words to really capture what i thought of the book.

2.) Do i always have to tag a book in order to post a blurb? Can i use a hashtag?

julesG Can't answer 1) with anything but "it is so". As to 2), yes, yiu always need to tag a book. You can tag an untitled book. 3y
rsteve388 Thats fair and good to know. 3y
readingjedi If you need to say more in a review you can always use the comments. I do it all the time. 3y
Kaye I‘ll just add my comment on your limited number of space for a review. I always struggle with that myself, as I‘m quite wordy. I‘ve had to learn to pare down my reviews to the basics with a general opinion of what I thought of the book and whether I‘d recommend it. 3y
rsteve388 Ah adding more of thw review to the comment section. Sounds good. 3y
