So I‘ve just been introduced to #AudibleEscapes and this is awesome! I‘m excited to listen to things I can‘t find at my library and I got a great introductory price too. 😁

My very large, #julybrary themed stack of potential books for #24in48 I‘m at a weird place where I should be done with everything I‘m currently ready by tomorrow. I‘ll likely start reading one of these a little early.

I‘ve always thought Chelsea was an open book when it came to her writing but this book take open, honest and vulnerable to new levels for her. This book follows a year of therapy and explores her losses in life. Her personality, the shortcomings that come with that and her need and ability to overcome these challenges.

This book was deeply personal on another level for Chelsea. I admire her for putting it all out there. (Comments)

Bookjunkie57 It‘s not always pretty but I‘m glad to see how open and honest she is about this journey. It has inspired me. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 3d

jchawkins I'm def a worm...I only keep the books I will come back to again and again. Mostly because I grew up with packrats whose need to hoarde was dangerous to our health and it scared the living daylight out of me. 😆 2w

Bookjunkie57 @jchawkins sounds scary. Fortunately I only hoard books and pens. 📚🖋 2w
jchawkins @Bookjunkie57 oh good! Yeah my parents hoarded food containers and coffee mugs, and would shove them into cabinets. You'd open the cabinets and these mugs and cookie tins and yogurt containers would come crashing down on your head 😵 2w
rretzler @jchawkins My husband‘s parents became hoarders in their old age. There were paths through the boxes and stacks in their house to get to important places! And my grandmother horses pantyhose and shower caps in her bathroom cupboards! 2w

I‘m calling it a night on #24B4Monday I finished one book, started two others and made a tiny bit of progress in the 4th. Despite barely being home all weekend I managed to eek out 12 hours of reading (twice my goal 🙌🏾) and had a great time. Can‘t wait to do it all again in a hopefully slower weekend.

Thank you @TheReadingMermaid @Andrew65 and @jb72 for hosting and encouraging me.

Still listening but I‘m going to call it a night on #24B4Monday 5 hours isn‘t too bad considering my goal is 6 hours. This was mostly time driving and audiobaking. I have less than an hour left in this book so I might finish it tonight.

Bookjunkie57 48 minutes later I finished the book. 😂 (edited) 3w

Possible reads for this weekends #24B4Monday

I am already reading Run to You and a few chapters of Meet Cute ages ago. Dreams from My Father is an audiobook I have from the library but I‘m craving something humorous and I don‘t think it will fit the bill. Oh well, we shall see how it all shakes loose by the end of the weekend. My goal is 6 hours because of family commitments.
I hope everyone has fun!

Eye injuries | Edward Zagora

Have to wear my glasses today because I work up with an unhappy right eye. This isn‘t the worst thing what makes it bad is my glasses have a fishbowl effect on my vision which makes reading (and a number of other tasks but who am I kidding reading is the most important) really uncomfortable. So I‘m looking at 3 or four days of barely any eye on page time right when I feel like I just gathered some momentum. 😡

Melissa_J Can you try audiobooks? I suffer from vertigo from time to time, and can‘t read. Audiobooks, which I don‘t otherwise listen to, fill the void. (edited) 1mo
Bookjunkie57 @Melissa_J hi Melissa. I do listen to audiobooks too but they are not ideal for “sneak reading” at work, lol. I will just have to wait until the working day is over. 1mo
sudi Maybe you could pass the time with some podcasts ? 😊 1mo
