Started this last night. @BookwormAHN reading anything good? How was your October?
A bittersweet graphic on depression mooned the imagery. @BookwormAHN Happy May! I hope May brings good days to you. 😄
I really wanted to like this book. Written by a local Provincetown resident and me having worked in the town next-door in growing up on Cape Cod. I thought this would be a really great read. unfortunately it was formulaic and could have used more development. Oh well.
This is a collection of short stories about female heroes of all ages. I really wanted to like this collection. However, most of the stories weren‘t flushed out enough for my liking. Some of them were nonsensical because they lacked information. They were too quick or short to get me stuck in the story.
Loved this story. It was a dramedy. Funny and interesting as I followed the descent into isolation of a woman scorned and then her coming out to the world again. Entertaining lighthearted and just what I needed.
Just finished Suck it in and smile. Loved bit. Of course there‘s a cliffhanger because sequel so now I‘m waiting patiently 😩😬 for the next book out in September.
I listened to this book, and I gotta tell you the waitlist for this book for the new year was really long. The audiobook is great, short, and informative in an a small steps approach. And there‘s a website where I can go for printouts on how to get started in adding new habits to my routine. Of course, now the big dilemma is me actually following through.😂😂😂
I‘m a quarter way through so far Hendrix has a fleshed out protagonist and the haunting includes creepy dolls and questionable noises. It‘s moving a bit slow for me but I think the atmosphere he is creating will be worth it. ALSO I know I‘ve been lying low, I am still writing letters just at a snails pace! #litsylove
I won funniest at the holiday town partaaaay!
OMG. YOU GUYS. I had no clue what I was going to make for my boyfriend for Christmas this year. Each year we give one handmade gift. Until I found inspiration in a Google search and made this ⬆️⬆️
Yep, that‘s me, in bookmark form 😁😭😂🤣🤪😬
Okay so this years DIY advent is a Christmas village. It‘s a bit wonky but I almost trashed it and started over. Glad I didn‘t. Turned out pretty darn good! It‘s for my boyfriend, I like to diy advent calendars. I found the printable online for free! I love free stuff.
Quick read. It has a paranormal plot but I‘m the protagonist‘s ability to see ghosts actually didn‘t play any true part in solving the crimes she witnessed. But the ghosts she encounters do want peace and I did enjoy the story. There‘s a mystery man and a lost loved one who returns and i want more! If there was ever a sequel I‘d read it. I‘d like to know what happens next.
Aaaannnd my tree is up. I love Christmas trees. The lights and ornaments reminding me of friends & family. Heck even the fake tree reminds me of my childhood fake tree 😂 🎄 plus fake trees I can keep up as long as I want!
The characters are all so flawed it feels relatable. You don‘t want to like any of them but the friendship/lover dynamic puts a hard twist on a story of teens wanting resolution, and for things to change and stay the same.
A good coming of age tale about a secret kept between summer friends that unravels. The secret really makes me see childish things I did in youth that I regret today but at the time felt monumental.
Also, Theo pic because he is just so adorable. He tolerates me.
Library set up. @Blerdgal_Fenix thank you for the sweet handmade tote bag. I have begun using it for work and I really appreciate you thinking of me. You are a kind soul! HUGS.
I think you can read this without watching the show. It read like Go Ask Alice and the voice/writing is older than a 12-16 teen. But I like dark tales. This book contains a lot of abuse drugs and sex so read at your own risk. Now I want to go watch Twin Peaks.
Not all the poetry was for me. And there is one called Sad Olympics where I connected to only the first five lines, maybe I‘ll work on my own last few lines. The ones I connected with:
Ideal Heaven
Invitation
These Days
Lists
Awake
Idea
Headstone Suggestions
Startled
Without a Moral, There‘s Just a Happy Woman
Happy Halloween! We dressed as the Scooby Gang for our library Halloween party! Tag me in your costume post I wanna see!
Really enjoyed this werewolf plot! Only a few days left in October I‘ve got to get my spooky reads in. What are you reading for October?
Elementary school visit to the library today!
Really enjoyed this one and I‘m not a big fan of the author. Although I do have to say she does NOT make likable characters. Her books are more like watching a terrible fight between two terrible people, you just cannot look away. Also checking in with my buddy @BookwormAHN how you doin‘? The last few months and days have been terrible for me but I still get up each day, so I‘ve got that going for me, which is nice.
I really loved this story. Uncle Patrick and his “niblings” have a summer of fun, connection and healing after the death of their mother. Uncle Patrick finds solace and purpose again. It was a heartfelt read.
Happy Independence Day from Cape Cod!
@BookwormAHN how you doing buddy? Happy Independence Day weekend! I went to the fireworks and this is for you. #litsylovebud
For a book about a woman struggling with cancer this book was a light read. I liked it but didn‘t love it because Keira was a bit too blind to the world around her occasionally making her seem self centered. So I struggled a bit liking her.
@BookwormAHN thank you for this lovely birthday card! I‘m just about to write you back. Also…#litsybuddycheckin !
@LibrarianRyan really liked this one!

Also I got a letter returned to me that I sent to you @Zuhkeeyah so I‘ll try again. Has your address changed?
@Christyco125 your drawing is too cute! My brother has. Frenchie named Gertie and franchies are adorable. Letter in the post to you!
I think I‘m both tired of teen reads and just tired of reading. I bought the book for the cover. The cover was better. Too much teen drama not enough plot or momentum in my opinion. Oh well.
You know how a bodice ripper romance dives into the nitty-gritty with flowery synonyms for body parts? Yeah this ain‘t it. There‘s only so many times I can read cock before I just start to laugh out loud. I am no longer the teen obsessed with trashy romance. I tried. 🤣😂 also this cover dude looks like a teen Jamie Kennedy 🥴🤮
I came across an article comparing period cramps to a heart attack but a doctor said that a heart attack usually doesn‘t feel painful. LABOR PAINS or the pain of cutting off your finger works better. This is what we deal with every month, we still go to work. And there‘s not much research into ending this pain. And now the Supreme Court…⬇️

I was pleasantly surprised and happy to read this! Despite TW‘s for drug use and some explicit scenes (but not too graphic) I found this to be highly entertaining. I enjoyed the nod to Sailor Moon. I love the friendship between Rockstar and Softboy, reminds me of The Odd Couple.

I sent the book today @phantomx @suvata
I meant to take a pic but forgot so here is a mini rubber chicken I got on Easter. Also @LibrarianRyan I sent you a small package. #lmpbc14 Group G
I wanted to like this book. But it is so dark and not my cup of tea at this time. I give it three stars for the beautiful imagery. And i would suggest it if you like a dark retelling of Snow White.
Beautiful pictures and a funny story. I love this graphic novel.
Thank you @BethM for this interesting Dark magic graphic novel read. While I enjoyed the plot the characters weren‘t really my style? But anyone who enjoys dark noir will like this I think. Kind of read to me like Supernatural. My favorite character is Toby, …and Molly. #lmpbc group g. I will be sending it on to you @phantomx on Monday!
@suvata
Graphic novel YA about Mona‘s struggle with depression and anxiety. I feel that everyday. Mona sinks under her own depression & it hurts her emotionally, socially and physically. I can understand her struggles. But Mona finds a way to work with her depression and to live despite it.
This book is a bittersweet story of a friend group who‘s epic loss changes their lives. For me it is a cry read. Loved it.
Finally adding my notes to my #lmpbc read! While eating twizzlers. What is your favorite nostalgic candy from childhood? @phantomx @LibrarianRyan @BethM
@suvata
@magyklyXdelish tagging you cuz I miss you! Have a good Sunday ❤️
I wanted to like this book. It had all the elements I love, time travel aliens and a love triangle of sorts. But alas the plot moved too slow and the villain‘s weak reasoning was subpar. Oh well.
