I love this world; how there is different countries with their own magic.

Writing was sometimes annoyingly repetitive and no room was left for reader to understand something her-/himself.

I love to be afraid for characters but you could trust no one important is going to die so that definitely took that feeling away.

I liked Benito most but otherwise characters weren't extremely interesting.

I hated this world where women were only objects and were used to make business (=arranged marriages). Then they lived with their husbands money and had nothing to say about things.

This felt long, thinking about how little happened. Ending was slightly better.

I loved how main characters were already married. That's so rarely the case in romance novels and I liked that!! A new relationship is only the beginning and there is still so much to go through. I loved also secondary characters, they all felt so alive.

I loved every scene and it was heart-warming to follow their life. I loved the message this book gave. This was really enjoyable to read!

I am so late with this

April: I read all books that I had on my TBR pile. COVID finally found me. Bright side was that I had to rest with my leg pain. It wasn't just streching that was needed :( I went to doctor and now I just have to rest :((( It might be that I am not playing in 3-4 months.

May: I am reading mostly fantasy in May, here is books to choose from. And for well being my goal for May is to get my leg more painless.

I love so much peculiar characters and this book has so many. It was so much easier to read this than the first one: now characters and world were familiar.

Atmosphere was again so amazing and the world unique, I loved being back.

I think this could have been slightly shorter but I am still happy about action that this book had compared with the first book.

Characters were realistic - not flawless and you got to know their sometimes even disturbing secrets.

Atmosphere was mysterious and scenes in the dark streets vivid.

I loved how this had multiple POVs and several twists: it wasn't easy to guess what has happened.

This was pleasurable read even though some things were a bit too coincidental.

This was intriguing to read, but also disturbing.

This had really dark atmosphere, I love gothic books and this was mysterious from the first pages. I loved how secrets started to reveal themselves.

It was quite easy to guess what was happening and this could have been a bit more realistic but I still enjoyed.

I liked the main characters but there were so many secondary characters that were hard to remember. I loved slow-burn romance!

Brutal society - just what I love in dystopia books. But I would have loved to have more of it!

There were some hilarious scenes and this was overall fun & light read. This maybe wasn't the most believable story but was so enjoyable and entertaining that I didn't care. I can say I really loved this book!

This was a bit too long book and dragged. I had the same feeling that I had after book 2: this should have been a duology.

I liked characters. Or at least mostly - I found some of them annoying. It didn't help that Celia joined with our group in this one.

One twist in the middle of the book started to repete the plot of book 1 but only worse.

This was better than book 2 but not even close to book 1.

FantasyChick I've been holding off on this book for this exact reason. Shame because I adored book 1! I'm starting to think this series should have just been a standalone 🤔 1mo
PageShifter @FantasyChick You might be right! Here were some touching scenes and had more action than book 2. It might just be that book 2 was too big disappointment to me and I couldn't enjoy this one either for that reason. Or maybe after seeing how many has loved this I thought this would be something like book 1. And I agree - I loved book 1 :( My theory is that author had unlimited time to write the first one but couldn't get it work with deadlines. 1mo

This was too complex for my taste but worldbuilding was awesome.

This had an awesome cast of characters and there weren't too many of them. But somehow even their deaths left me cold.

I especially loved the beginning: it was so tense but then I was a bit disappointed when I noticed how rushed it was suddenly. And then started the major - and dullest - part of the book.

Charisma was a bit exaggerated character: she was unbelievable clumsy. Men were just extremely sexy but we got to know almost nothing else about them.

I really loved magic in this book, it was quite cool. But worldbuilding was almost non-existent: even information if there is also normal people take long to get.

There wasn't really a plot at all, this book's only purpose was to lead to the next book.
