In a really busy month with lingering health stuff, I‘m pretty amazed that I read 12 books.🎉 It was a great reading month as I had several books I really enjoyed & a couple that I‘m sure with make my Top books of 2023 list. My favorite was the audiobook Remarkably Bright Creatures which I tossed into the mix when I had headaches & work commutes & I‘m so glad I did! Close behind was The Undertaking of Heart and Mercy from my #AuldLangSpine list ⬇️

DebinHawaii …from @Laughterhp & I also really liked The Dead Romantics from her list. I read 2 series books for #SeriesLove2023 (still need to publish my list) & 1 was for #DiverseCozy #buddyread I read both a book & novella for #SundayBuddyRead & finally finished a book for review & 1 for my foodie book club. My big fail was not getting into Middlemarch with the #PemberLittens -I just couldn‘t seem to catch up or care. 🤦🏻‍♀️But otherwise I‘m happy! 📚🎉 2mo
TheBookHippie I can‘t believe I‘m still with Middiemarch 😵‍💫😂🤷🏻‍♀️ 2mo

Chapter 10: y‘all. Searching for Victorian girl with broken arm is a rabbit hole I did not need to go down! #idigress Beck is not a cuddly mom but Lucy would like to cuddle Dr John #thatsallihavetosayaboutthat #fifinewassobrave #desireeneedsaspanking #beckneedstoparent #imfeelingsuperjudgey #lucyisaflirt #soproud #pemberlittens #villette

Bookwormjillk Lol I think we can forgive you for not having that particular search in your history 4mo
Linsy lol, I'm impressed by your dedication! 4mo

Lizpixie Hah! My dad used to greet every spring with that rhyme. Without fail! “See them birdies on the wing, but that‘s absurd! The wing is on the bird”🦅 2y

The Greatest Gift: A Christmas Tale | Philip Van Doren Stern

The tagged book is a short story published in 1943 that was the basis of the film It‘s A #WonderfulLife. George Pratt is dissatisfied with life, to the point where he feels it would have been better if he had never been born. He has a few #Surprises when he is shown what would have happened if that had been the case

#SoulSeptember @Eggs
#RedRoseSeptember @arlenefinnigan @Cinfhen

arlenefinnigan I had no idea the film was based on this! #stacked 4y
Cinfhen Well done and nice use of #hashtags 🍦🍦 4y

This book was a bit disappointing. I found the super long, unnecessary, overly-explained #hashtags to be repetitive and annoying. And some of it was obvious filler. But I'm giving it a pick because the last few chapters about money issues, living alone and being single and happy were refreshingly relatable. And the audio edition had a little interview with her and her new boyfriend that was kinda cute. I still want to read her first book 🤔

Megabooks I thought her first book was better!! I hope you enjoy it! 4y
Emilymdxn I didn‘t know she‘d written another book! Looks like I shouldn‘t expect it to be as good as You Can‘t Touch My Hair but I‘ll probably give it a go with my expectations in check. I love listening to her voice and how she reads them 4y

After seeing everyone's posts I changed up my list a bit (for the last time...maybe 😁).
Want to read one of these (the @bklover or @avanders can choose a Koontz or Rollins for us)?
I'm leaning towards Borne or Claw.
@tk421 @BethM

Sleepswithbooks OHMYGOD!! You all have a hippo 🦛 in your choice!! I‘m so envious 😂😂😂😂😂 (I‘m stacking that book immediately) #hippoobssessed 4y
BethM I haven‘t read any of those 4y
Bklover They ALL sound wonderful. Want to read them all! 4y

TheLibrarian @Stacypatrice I freaking love hippos too. American Hippo is a great read!! 4y
Avanders I agree — they all sound wonderful!! I‘m def very curious about American hippo.. and borne is already on the tbr ... but I‘m open to any of them really!! 4y
TK421 American Hippo! I loved River of Teeth, but I haven't read anything else in this series. 4y
Dragonfairykats I've just joined, so please excuse my ignorance. Is there a spot that explains the #hashtags? I was wondering what #lmpbc is. Thank you! 4y
MaleficentBookDragon @Dragonfairykats #LMPBC is postal book club with 4 people (in our case 5) who mail out a book to each other (sometimes with little gifts) every month in a chain. We are in our "choosing of the books" stage right now. We write notes in the margins and put our reviews in it. As much as I cringe every time I write in a book, it is so much fun. It is run by @suvata Watch her feed for the next sign-up. Hope this answered your question. I ramble. 4y
MaleficentBookDragon @Stacypatrice email me your address and I'll send it to you after this #LMPBC round if you won't mind all the notes. MaleficentBookDragon@gmail.com 4y
Sleepswithbooks @MaleficentBookDragon - That would be AMAZING!!! Thank you so much 💛💛 4y

I drove in the snow across town today. I braved the dangers of many idiot drivers in Rockford, IL. I had my cold hands on 10 and let us not forget 2. I kept my sore neck and head on a swivel as I traversed the known unknowns of the treacherous winter beaten path. But we managed to make it back alive and well, with @TheBookAddict 's #libraryhaul

vivastory That's dedication! 4y

LibrarianRyan I get it. I really do. The roads are not much better down in central IL 4y

Decided to go with this gem from my #TBR instead of the usual Stephen King venture. Not to mention this is book number 3 that I'm reading at the same time...
