I have read this trilogy 2 times & I think 2020 will be my third time. I read them in 2009, then reread in 2013 when my Dad died & now in 2020. Very few novels have made me feel so deeply & kept me up way into the night to see what happens next. I truly mourned when it was over. It is setting me up for heartbreak, I can feel it. Maybe in December I can revisit. pickThis feminist-voiced retelling of the classic legend was very enjoyable. It was a bit anti-climatic, however, I really enjoyed the way this author weaves her storytelling with historically accurate information and details. Her descriptions of this sleepy hamlet and it‘s Dutch immigrant town brought the community to life. If you love the old legend, you will no doubt love this new spin on it.

🌕 I am getting better at self-care, but I still struggle with it. My house is nutty right now bc of visiting family, so I‘ll need some self-care during this Frost Moon.
