A picture book with fundamental philosophical questions, posed in a way only Jostein Gaarder is capable of. The illustrator has made an independent visual narrative that underscores the existential aspect of Jostein Gaarder's philosophical questions. Questions Asked shows confidence in a child's capacity to think deeply and read between the lines. The book follows a little boy traveling alone in an open landscape. Soon we realize he is on a journey of thoughts and dreams, asking questions about loss, myth, language, magic, and what it means to be a human being. Jostein Gaarder's philosophical questions merge with the beautiful illustrations of Akin Dzakin into a tale of friendship, love, and grief - and about daring to think about life as you live it.

Thanks for the tag, what a fun question!

I'm a sap who just wants to see people happy so I'd probably invite all my favorite romcom couples: Alex & Henry, Dev & Charlie, Luc & Oliver, Delilah & Claire, Astrid & Jordan, Simon & Baz, Ellie & Jack, Nick & Charlie

We would play board games or do puzzles and it would be a magical queer game night with laughter and love 💖✨

#31BookPics Day 3: I named this as one of the #Underrated overlooked picturebooks of 2017. This is a meditative, thoughtful story that can have multiple interpretations. It is a powerful book on bereavement, dealing with loss, and ruminations on life‘s ultimate meaning in the face of a staggering loss that seems all-encompassing. My full review of tagged book along with other #Underrated 2017 stories here: https://wp.me/pDlzr-hhY

Ok, @MinDea I'll bite this time. ? ?

--books per month really varies. And I almost never read straight through. For instance, currently I'm in the Lumberjanes series, the Giant Days series, a bunch of other comics, Gwendy's Button Box, Boy Snow Bird, Ginny Moon...I think you get the idea ?
--I prefer shorter (~500p) books unless I LOVE it then it can't be lone enough ?
--if I'm in a reading slump I don't sweat it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Rest in comments

Snow --I don't set reading goals because I don't like feeling pressured 😵 7y
Snow --I don't really care for fantasy but I wouldn't say I'd *never* read it. And I'd like to say my favorite type of book mark are handmade artsy ones, but I honestly am not that organized and just grab whatever is handy 😁 7y
Snow --how many books do I own? 😂😂😂 Let's just say there are several shelves on every floor in almost every room. I want to own as many as the floor joists will allow! (Oh, which reminds me I'm also currently reading The Bookshop on the Corner 7y
Snow --random fact ? hmmm... haha I'm always bad at this and my Twitter profile simply says "I like salt" umm... I'm currently trying to learn brush lettering. That'll have to do. ? 7y

~ 4-6 a month. I try for one a week.
~ Either, but shorter books are easier for me to finish in a week.
~ I either pick up a mystery/thriller as those usually grab my attention quickly or go on a reading hiatus.
~ 52, one a week.
~ Romance. Just can't get into it.
~ My flexiwood Harry Potter bookmarks, but really anything will do!
~ Over 300!
~ All the books!!!!!
~ I have horrible insomnia and am lucky if I get 4+ hours of sleep a night.
