I have not seen anything "new" from Slyvia Plath, and was pleasantly surprised by this short, yet subtle novella. Mary is on a ride, but she is not sure where....or if she will get there.
Atmosphere, you can feel Mary's growing daunting feelings....if you like Plath, you will like this.
If you haven't read her yet, this is a great starting point....

What a good damn read!! I took a chance on this.....I have read so many great reviews. Im glad I took the chance because this was awesome. Part mystery, part sci-fi, part fantasy-these parts converge with brilliance, twists and a cast of characters that are relatable. This book is about the effects on a person who attains sudden celebrity.
Amazing and fun. recommended

Wow!! I was about a quarter in, ready to DNF, I just didnt get it....so glad I didnt. This was so wild, so original, so deep...a women searching for her mother she has not seen in years....wants to rebuild and relive the memories of growing up on a boat in a canal together, using their own language. Except, once she finds her mother, she is in a home with Alzheimers....

2.0 / 5.0

Ugh! This was hard to get into---the characters are not engaging, it has no real twists and just seemed to go nowhere. You can tell this is a Neiderman-writing-as-Andrews book, the style and plot lay out seem different and the story lags.
DNF at about the 2/3 mark, it was struggle to get that far. This one is not for me.

Room to Dream | David Lynch, Kristine McKenna
post image
Mehso-so

I have been a fan of David Lynch for a long time, his film, ´Blue Velvet´, is among my favorites and, ´Twin Peaks´, one of my favorite series. This memoir takes a peek into his life and how it influenced his work. There is plenty of detail, some juicy quotes and anecdotal memories, but it gets a bit repetitive at times. There is about 100 interviews and lots of B&W photos.

Very few actual facts about the murder of Notorious BIG have been shared, with the public or with his family. We have a date, place and 7 bullet casings. There is enough evidence to at least question individuals, hold them accountable. Nothing has ever really been done with this evidence. Corruption runs deep. We have no answers. This book is about that cover up. Well researched and written, brings up many important issues

What I learned:
*Bone broth has a similar effect to human growth cells, convincing them to reproduce collagen at a faster pace.
*Aids in digestion and gut health
*Good for hair and nails due to collagen
*Helps inflammation and joint pain
*use grass-fed,pastured or organically raised animals when chosing broth or making broth
It contains chapters on making broths, sipping broths and smoothies, use and care of cast iron skillets
Recommended.

Oh My God! This is one of the sickest, creepiest absurd stories I have ever read, dark, funny and I loved it! Set in Argentina in a sanitarium in 1907, where they are doing experiments using cancer patients....bizarre,macabre that just gets more extreme as you read. This story of image, identity, medical testing and deformities takes a look at the field of psychiatry through the back door.
Excellent. Unforgettable and not for the faint of heart.

This goes straight to lack of character, lack of empathy, lack of capable skills to do his job. A cowardly man who is willing to destroy the very foundations our country was build on, our democracy. Just to avoid being seen for what he truly is
A con, a cheat, a liar.
A creepy dictator in sheepskin.
A seal in a now bankrupt circus, who still cant balance a ball on his nose.
