This one was okay. I couldn't really get into the storyline and it may be because it's better off read instead of listened to. 3.5 ⭐️.

I'm a day late for tracking to this readathon, but will attempt it. Hopefully I do better tracking-wise this time around!

Hope to:
1. finish the book I'm currently reading, Foundling and
2. start something new.

This one isn't on Litsy yet.

'Finn', a Scribd exclusive, is set in Ireland and tells the story of a young man, unlucky since birth, who gets caught up in a case of mistaken identity. The darkly funny, unsettling tale takes Finn through existential and psychological crises in a world where bullies and madmen upend the lives of the innocent.

All I can say about this book is I'm glad it's done. I didn't particularly enjoy it, but I can't quite put my finger on why... I just couldn't connect to the story.

The Darkwood is off limits. It is said to be home to witches. When an outing goes away, Imanuelle is forced to venture into the woods and defy the Prophet. Will this leave her unfazed enough to continue in her life of submission and devotion to the Father? Or does this help her to realize just how wrong it is to be a woman in Bethel?

It's 1926, during Prohibition, and after getting a bit drunk at a party she lets loose a secret that a wealthy young son holds, using her gift. She's shipped off to New York City to live with her uncle where a series of grisly murders occurs. Can she use her gift to help solve the mystery or will she become a victim? ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Jack and Jill's backstory is told in this book. Unfortunately for them, they had parents who should not have been parents. The things that drive the girls are revealed and helps us to understand the choices they've made. ⭐⭐⭐💫

GondorGirl The Moors are so creepy! I really loved the back story in this one, though it broke my heart how much those parents destroyed those girls. 6mo

No one knows how to spin fairy tales to their ghastly delight quite like Adam Gidwitz in my opinion. This is the 2nd book in the trilogy and who would've known that the stories of The Princess and the Frog, Jack and the Beanstalk, Jack and Jill and Mary Had a Little Lamb (to name a few) could all be related! This was a delightfully wicked 🎧 and read by the author...on to the final book! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
