@Chrissyreadit I hope everything you sent is here. The box was lost, in bad shape and open😳but everything found inside was in perfect condition. No damages. I read the information you sent. I think this celebration is so meaningful to start the year. Love it😍Is this the book I should read and pass forward. I‘m a little lost in this activity.

Answering your question, nope we don‘t see big weather changes over the year, maybe..⬇️

Gissy (Cont.) more rain and less hot. But maybe I‘m a little crazy but I feel the sun different during this time of the year. Summer is so hot 🥵 my least favorite time of the year😣

Thank you so much🤗

I‘m so glad #Litsolace will be going on all year. #Naturalitsy here are some pictures of signs of spring from my recent walks. I‘m not ready to be done with winter yet, but I must admit it‘s nice to see flowers again!

TheBookHippie How lovely!!! 2mo
kspenmoll So much spring! So nice to see as we are a month or two away from our CT spring. 2mo

Welcome the sun and the spring's rebirth; the light of the sun renews the earth.

Happy Imbolc 💚

May this Imbolc Season
bring a time of hope and inner reflection.
May Brigid, the goddess of poetry and fire, grant you the stirrings of inspiration!

TheBookHippie Imbolc is a Celtic festival that celebrates the beginning of spring and honors the Celtic goddess Brigid. It is a time to celebrate the sun‘s light returning after a long winter–and prepare for the bounty of spring. 2mo
Cuilin They finally made it a public holiday in Ireland. Last year I think was the first year. This Monday all schools and businesses have a day off to honor Bridget.!!!! 2mo

GingerAntics On that cinnamon oat milk latte sounds like my morning chai latte with oat milk. Add a little gingerbread flavour and it straight up tastes like my favourite 90s Girl Scout cookies!!! 2mo

GingerAntics @TheBookHippie I‘m going to be so sad when they retire the gingerbread flavour for the spring/summer/fall. I might have to order some of the syrup to have on hand for when that day comes. (edited) 2mo
GingerAntics @TheBookHippie oh, I‘ve already got that on my wish list. lol you‘re right there with me on that one. (edited) 2mo

Is anyone else following the Wheel of the Year? Wondering how you celebrate Imbolc? I‘m hoping to celebrate by going on a hike, and planning my Garden. I am finding it fun to form traditions based in nature. Also fun fact- my name was almost Brigid. I‘m still mad my parents didn‘t use it. 🤣tagging a few people who may celebrate but hoping anyone will join in.

wanderinglynn That sounds like a great plan. 👍🏻❤️ 2y
TheBookHippie Oh my friend does this! I‘ll ask her! FYI Christine is because of school Sunshine is the original moniker for me 🤫🌞 2y
TheBookHippie This is when you make the straw doll yes? 2y

Chrissyreadit @TheBookHippie yes some people make a straw figure, or Brígida cross. 2y
Chrissyreadit @TheBookHippie I could see you as a Sunshine 😘 2y
TheBookHippie @Chrissyreadit One of the members of our teaching non religious homeschool coop does this -I remember the straw dolls and walk in the woods by a stream and tea and a fire? PreCOVID … had to wear very bright colors and I think something green? It seems so long ago!!! 2y
Chrissyreadit @TheBookHippie I‘m figuring it out- I made a plan to spend as much time in nature as possible and it feels easy to pair hikes or “special” outdoor times with the wheel of the year 2y
TheBookHippie @Chrissyreadit She did a lot of fun outdoor things -she taught us a dance once I forgot what it was for, but it was seasonal 🤞🏻 we return to gatherings someday… it was so wonderful to learn from all the different ways people live. 2y
sprainedbrain I like to have a fire outside if the weather cooperates on the night of the 1st (I am quite fond of my fires lol), if not candles in every room. Everything revolves around my kitchen, and for Imbolc I like to make bannock or pancakes, and always try to get outside for a walk in the daytime. ❤️ 2y
DGRachel I‘m just starting to dip my toe into these kinds of celebrations. I just grabbed this book for ideas. 💖 2y
bthegood @Chrissyreadit I have a Brigida cross in my home - thanks for posting and reminding me - make a great day ⭐ 2y
Moonprismpower I don‘t celebrate. I appreciate you tag so I can see all the comments! 2y
julesG I used to celebrate, but with kids, tight schedules, yada yada... I've only really been doing Winter Solstice the past years. Thanks for the reminder, I'll restart observing the wheel this year. 2y
ElizaMarie I love seeing your journey into nature. It is very inspiring and makes me want to also work on being more “one“ with nature, myself, and calmness. So, thank you! Also, that book looks super interesting! 2y
Clare-Dragonfly I try to celebrate many of the Wheel of the Year holidays! I‘ll definitely do something for Imbolc, as Brigid is one of the goddesses I‘m devoted to—though I‘m not sure what, yet. 2y
GingerAntics I follow them, but not always actively out in nature. It depends on the weather and stuff. I have found a wonderful woman on insight timer hee does meditations for the whole wheel of the year, so that‘s become a fun tradition for me the last year or so. Insight timer is free too, so if you‘re interested, check it out. 2y
GingerAntics @TheBookHippie wait, you were named Sunshine? That‘s just awesome!!! 2y
slategreyskies @hissingpotatoes I saw this post and thought of you! :) 2y
slategreyskies I don‘t have anything planned for Imbolc yet, but maybe I‘ll come up with something. I haven‘t celebrated Imbolc yet. I‘ve mostly been drawn to Samhain and Yule, but I‘d like to practice more in other times of the year too. 2y
hissingpotatoes @slategreyskies I'm planning to plant a bunch of indoor herbs/plants, and I'm working with a friend to reinvigorate my flowerbeds with native plants! 🌱 🌿 (edited) 2y
MoonWitch94 @Chrissyreadit I‘m late to the party here, but I do follow the seasons/turning of the wheel. I‘m probably going to do something in the kitchen, do some “spring cleaning”, and start planning my garden. 2y
