pickMy #TBRtarot pick for April was great! I would have liked it more if it were true and not fiction. But still a good story about sex, drugs & rock n‘ roll! I admired Daisy for her freedom and was rooting for Billy and his restraint. Now I‘ll absolutely have to check out the show and see if they got the casting right. 🤣 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2
pickI loved this so much! Very charming with a great cast of characters (though my absolute favorite might be the apple tree 😂) and with such lovely magical realism. So far, I‘ve not been disappointed by SAA!

pickI don‘t ever really read self-help, but this book has low-key been on my radar since it‘s publication, because who doesn‘t want to be badass? 😂 There were 2 or 3 chapters that resonated with me, and the author approached the whole book with humor, which I always appreciate. My biggest take from it was to always LOVE YOURSELF! It‘s really the first step to badassery!

pickThe Widow is an interesting, bleak, tension-building story that follows two characters trapped by fate and despair in the French countryside. Simenon‘s writing is forthright and sparse; the story kept my interest throughout, giving an air of edginess. Of the two main characters, the widow Couderc (Tati) - unattractive yet tough- is more interesting and has my sympathies. The 1971 French movie adaptation starring..⬇️
While not my favorite of Ann Patchett‘s books, it was still a good read, at times quite beautiful.

pickI loved this book! I‘m kinda mad at myself for waiting so long to read it. Tangled is my favorite Disney movie, and this reimagining is very clever. It‘s a bit of a chunkster but such a quick read (at least it was for me) and so entertaining!
