My #TBRtarot pick this month I choose a book with a place in the title- but this was also a Greek god retelling! I loved the way they made these myths into the ultimate family drama turning each god and goddess into one dysfunctional family living in Texas. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

As an immigrant estranged from her family, Tao has gotten used to a solitary traveling life with only her mule for company. But then she starts encountering others on their own complicated journeys, and everything changes. A sweet, comfortable found family story, though it goes off the rails in the middle which stopped me from loving it as much as I might have.

My prompt for #TBRtarot ended up being to read a book that‘s been on your Kindle for a while - I believe I grabbed this intending to join a #sundaybuddyread but that didn‘t happen 😂 Anyway, I almost stopped reading after a chapter or two, it just wasn‘t grabbing me, and then it did. Pretty fantastic and important read. @TheBookHippie

Brian did a great job! This is book 7 in the Teddy Fay series & Stone Barrington put in an appearance. I just love these characters.
Stuart Woods passed away in 2022 & Battles has done a great job taking over the two series.

This Rapunzel retelling was so charming. This is the first in this series (Meant to Be) that I‘ve read. I‘ve had this on my shelf for a bit. Christina Lauren are authors I usually enjoy so this was a no brainer pick for April‘s #TBRtarot
The MCs grow, open up, struggle & get their HEA. CL respects the Tangled story while still making it uniquely their own.

I found this in my TBR for #TBRTarot. It's a fairly straight -- or rather, straightforward ;-) - retelling of “the Goose Girl,“ but about a Prince on his way to marry another Prince. A pleasant short read with no steam but some violence.
