#BookMail Pt4 The last book of my #bookhaul is the final novel in the Stalking Jack The Ripper series. I‘ve really enjoyed the last three books and am looking forward to adding this one to the list. Audrey Rose & Thomas Cresswell have landed in Chicago for the Worlds Fair. But soon, they find themselves in a deadly game with the serial killer known as the White City Devil.

I love getting #bookmail. The 3 Magnolia/Joanna Gaines books are for my son‘s girlfriend, who‘s birthday is today. The top 3 are for me 😁

marleed I just read and loved loved loved Bear Town. Nina, too, is wonderful to meet! 12h
AmyK1 @Marleed I‘ve heard good things about both of them. And I‘ve loved everything I‘ve read so far by Fredrik Backman 👍🏼 11h
marleed Oh me too. If I were to pick my top five currently writing authors he would be on that list. So would Taylor Jenkins Reid. ...Dang now I‘m sitting here think of my next three! Berne Brown. Now I can only have 2 more! 11h
AmyK1 @marleed lol yeah. He‘d be up there for me too. Not sure of the other 4-there are too many choices! 11h

#BookMail Pt3 This is based on a true story, on 7th November 1843, 23yr old Harriet Monckton, a woman of respectable means, was found murdered in the privy behind a chapel in Bromley, Kent. The community was appalled by her poisoning, and even more so when the autopsy showed she was six months pregnant. Elizabeth Haynes draws on coroners reports, witness testimonies & other historical documents to try and fill in the blanks in this case.

#BookMail Pt2 The second book in my #haul is the second book in the Bala series. The first, Space Unicorn Blues, was all about the enslavement of magical creatures through the galaxy to empower spaceships & hyperdrives. In this, the Bala are now free & living on a secret world, finally living on their own terms, but there are humans not happy with the chaos left behind & are looking to enslave them all again. If they can find them. Unique SciFi🦄

#BookMail Pt1 It‘s been awhile since I‘ve had BookMail, #somanybookssolittlefunds unfortunately. But I‘ve paid off all my Afterpay accounts so one little one won‘t hurt will it? Well, maybe not so little. But it‘s just one! This is a recent release from the UK, another book set during the “heatwave” of 1976. After her sisters drowning, 16yr old Nif & her family move to a village on the Welsh border where she starts her own version of magic.

Riveted_Reader_Melissa We have to treat ourselves sometimes too! 17h

Today‘s #bookmail is the catalog for an exhibit at the Ashmolean Museum on food and dining in Pompeii. It covers everything from gardens, dining rooms, kitchens and latrines to restaurants, bars, shops, and even the remains of food found on tables after the eruption of Vesuvius. Excited to add this to my nonfiction TBR pile.
