Wedding in December: A Christmas Romance
Wedding in December: A Christmas Romance | Sarah Morgan
15 posts | 6 read | 2 to read
This funny, charming and heartwarming new Christmas novel is USA TODAY bestselling author Sarah Morgan at her festive best! In the snowy perfection of Aspen, the White family gathers for youngest daughter Rosie's whirlwind Christmas wedding. First to arrive are the bride's parents, Maggie and Nick. Their daughter's marriage is a milestone they are determined to celebrate wholeheartedly, but they are hiding a huge secret: they are on the brink of divorce. After living apart for the past six months, the last thing they need is to be trapped together in an irresistibly romantic winter wonderland. Rosie's older sister, Katie, is also dreading the wedding. Worried that impulsive, sweet-hearted Rosie is making a mistake, Katie is determined to save her sister from herself. If only the irritatingly good-looking best man, Jordan, would stop interfering with her plans... Bride-to-be Rosie loves her fianc but is having serious second thoughts. Except everyone has arrived--how can she tell them she's not sure? As the big day gets closer and emotions run even higher, this is one White family Christmas none of them will ever forget! You also won't want to miss One More For Christmas, the sparkling new festive novel from Sarah Morgan! "Readers will be delighted."--Publishers Weekly on One More For Christmas, starred review

Mehso-so

I truly love Sarah Morgan's writing so I hate calling this so-so but the women in this book drove me nuts. The men I loved. 😂 I understood each character's struggle (especially Maggie's - The Empty Nest years are no joke) but found myself more frustrated than engaged as I read leaving me angsty rather than enjoying the happy ever after.

ReadingOver50 Hmmm. Your review makes me want to read this. Don‘t know why, since you didn‘t like it that much 🤔 3mo
SheReadsAndWrites @ReadingOver50 ? It's a good book! And she writes emotion and challenges so well. I think I just started to feel like all the women were so focused on "protecting" each other they didn't see what a mess they were themselves OR how they were making each other's lives more a mess. ? I will say this - she NAILED how it can feel as an empty nester. That was spot on. 3mo
cinda.marie I think I need to read it just so I can relate to the empty nester. 😂 3mo
SheReadsAndWrites @cinda.marie In some ways those were emotional to read - she really pinpointed specifics for me in those years, especially as a stay-at-home Mom. Thats why I hate giving the book a so-so. Morgan is epic at feelings and emotions. Like I said, my main issue was these 3 so concerned about controlling each other's lives they lost control of their own. Especially the one daughter, Katie. 3mo
SheReadsAndWrites @ReadingOver50 @cinda.marie The sign of a good book for me is if I'm thinking about it or talking about it later. And here we are! 😄 So it's clearly a good book. Just one where I personally didn't love all the characters. 😊 It happens, right? 🤷🏻‍♀️ 3mo

This book was okay, probably because I‘m used to reading more diversity. I might backlist Sarah Morgan, though, because it‘s been a minute since I read a book in (almost) one sitting. Anyway, LOTS of points with this one, haha. It was a SNOWy FAMILY CHRISTMAS so many, many, *many* #wgwordsearch points.

Another enjoyable book from Sarah Morgan focusing on relationships within the family, and the positive outcomes from time away fro them all at a family wedding. A good read but not my favourite Sarah Morgan book.

Book 5 finished for #OutstandingOctober

4/5⭐️ I really enjoyed this one! Sarah Morgan is a great author who writes her holiday novels with just enough romance, realistic family dynamics & a sprinkling of Christmas magic. Well developed, believable women voices alternating telling the story as it unfolds. Not a Hallmark tale, but not depressing either. #DashingDecember #HolidayRead #TBR #WinterGames2020
