2nd book in Miren Triggs duology (The Snow Girl is the first book). Not much to say without spoil events from the first book🤷🏽‍♀️Let‘s say that Miren will investigate another case. I think Miren can be an unlikely character sometimes, some events are maybe not too realistic and some are predictable, but in general I liked this thriller. A fast reading. 3.7/3.8⭐️

Third and last book in this trilogy. I started this series with the first book during the #CBBC I enjoyed the first 2 books where the 2nd book was the best. This conclusion was okay, too repetitive, nothing new to add to the mystery. I don‘t think it was necessary. The author could concluded the story in the second book😕2.50/3⭐️

This is the last book in this series but the story is a pre-sequel, what happened before the Hunger Games, how and why these games were created. It is about who is Coriolanus Snow. The story is slow and repetitive, maybe this should be rated in Litsy as a so-so. But I still liked to know who was this character and how and why this world existed. For me was interesting. Snow....you born like that or you were raised like that?🤔 3⭐️

Gissy #SeriesRead2023 This is my 8th series completed this year. Well some series I only needed to read 1 or 2 books to complete the series. But is almost an accomplished goal. My goal was to finish 10 series (trilogy/duology/series), I still have time to accomplish it. @Andrew65 @TheSpineView 4mo

I think this was a good closure for this YA trilogy. Maybe predictable but the story has action, suspense, mystery. The ending was hopeful, supportive. I liked it. 3.5⭐️

Mixed feelings with this book. In general, there were interesting parts and action but as I mentioned before, there are stories that can be concluded in one or two books. A third book turns sometimes to be repetitive with unnecessary details, dragging the story, at least for me 3⭐️

Gissy @Chrissyreadit I wish but sometimes there are good months where I have more time to read. Every time I see how many books I have unread plus the one I need (well want😂) in my shelves I say to myself...,read. But the reality is that I don‘t socialize much. I like to stay at home and I don‘t watch too much tv either🤷🏽‍♀️ 5mo
Chrissyreadit i have a life time of unread books! All the same you it looks like you had a great reading adventure ❤️ 5mo
TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! 5mo
Gissy @Chrissyreadit Yes, it was a great month but not always is like that. It always depend what I have that month and the type of book I‘m reading. Nonfiction books take me longer time to finish them and I have a couple of big books that definitely it will take me more that a week to finish them. At the end what it really matters it to enjoy what we are reading even if it is only one book 📖 🤗❤️ 5mo

August review😳
Third book and apparently last book in this trilogy (sometimes authors decide to add a new book at the last minute🤷🏽‍♀️) I love love the characters and this world. First book was amazing. However, these 2 books could be summarized in the first book. It was so repetitive like they needed to add unnecessary information just to say that there is a trilogy. Abrupt ending.3⭐️ Land for the whole trilogy3.5⭐️⬇️

Gissy (Cont) The narrator is the same for the 7 books in this world. Amazing, extraordinary work👏I really enjoyed and appreciated the interview conducted by the author with the narrator in this last audiobook.

Read in June
I am so sad that this is the last book in the Aaron Falk trilogy. Maybe a little slow but I liked how it ended. This is a character driven novel with a good twist at the end. 4⭐️Maybe I was too attached to this character☺️

Gissy @Texreader I have a couple of books very behind but I will read them. I bought some of these books recently, specifically for this challenge because I want to explore some authors new to me. 🤗📚 (edited) 8mo

#seriesread2023 I had no idea this new book takes place in the Emberfell world I just finished in Vow! It takes place a few years after Vow ended and I was immediately drawn back in! This story focuses on Tycho a character everyone came to love. The new characters were also great and this one had a lot of action. It‘s clear by the ending that this storyline with these characters will continue so I‘m excited to revisit the kingdoms again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Andrew65 Brilliant 👏👏👏 Not a series or author I know. 10mo

Robert Lui, a detective with the Vancouver Police Department, has left the Gang Taskforce and joined the Major Crimes Unit. Revenge is the main theme of the story. Glenn Burwell uses his job of almost 40 years as a registered architect in writing this book. He writes about the local development industry and how it affects the lives of people living in Vancouver.

EadieB The bodies of two people and one dog are found and needs to be solved by Robert Lui and his team. The characters are well-drawn and the plot allows the reader to read to the surprise ending of the book. This is a great debut book of a good series for the author and I will be awaiting another book by him soon. If you like mystery novels, then you will love this book. 11mo
