You know, I‘d be okay with more adult literature containing illustrations. It makes me more engaged! This is Harry Potter so technically for a younger audience and I‘d be engaged regardless, but why do illustrated texts seem to stop when we grow up???
Random list of books I want illustrated:
The Snow Child
The Earthsea Cycle
LOTR but that probably exists already
Shadow of the Wind/Everything by Zafón
What text would you like to see illustrated?
Hour six in the readathon asks for a magical, fantasy collection. My Harry Potter shelf. @24in48
It doesn‘t matter how many times I read Harry Potter, I always manage to find something new, burst out in giggles, love Ronald Weasley‘s sarcasm, loyalty and attitude, Hermione Granger‘s independence, intelligence and wit, and finally, Harry Potter. A boy who lived a miserable life with his Aunty, Uncle and Cousin and then got told: “Yer a wizard Harry!”
When your youngest fur baby has just been desexed (going onto the 9th day with the ‘cone of shame‘) and can‘t be without you and needs to be reading Harry Potter also.
😂 I love Ron‘s sarcasm!
Look at this beautiful edition of Harry Potter I found! I am loving rereading it again! 💫🌟✨
Should I read this?
I have only heard good things but this book has been sitting on my shelf for quite a while now.
Thought, I am really curious to know what all the fuss is about. I know tree characters, Harry, Hermione and Ron, I think? 🤔😊
This pop is from an Owlcrate box. 🦉
I reread the HP series at least once every two years. Sometimes more. And every time I read it again, I discover something new.
It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live
Awww...how‘ve I‘ve missed the old gang. Rereading the HP series which is long overdue. Still in love with the books and the #audiobook narration by Jim Dale.
Rowling lived some years in Porto when she was working on the first volume of the Harry Potter series. Apparently she wrote a lot in the Majestic Café which should be wonderful but had a long line when we passed by.
So that‘s the last update from Porto. Now it‘s on the train and next up is Lisboa?
Look what came in today 😬
Instantly my most favorite book in my Harry Potter collection 😂🙌🏻👏🏻😍
J.K. Rowling‘s MF book that started it all! The British Book Awards Book of the Year introduces Harry Potter, the boy who lived. Only a baby, he beat/survived the darkest wizard alive. Sadly, he lost his parents to the dark lord and has to live with his terrible aunt and uncle. Dreaming of a day to escape the Dursley house, he finally gets his wish when a big scruffy man in a motorbike tells him, “Yer a wizard Harry.”
I finally read the first Harry Potter book for the very first time. You can see my full review here: https://www.facebook.com/262384764521804/posts/304154463678167?s=1282951466&sfns...

I was so tempted by this 3D puzzle of a snitch. If only it wasn‘t $40. 😩
A friend of mine has inspired me to do a re-read of the Harry Potter Series. I first started reading the series when I was on maternity leave with my now 19 year old & after that I read them as they came out. We did a family listen of the first two in 2016, but other than that I haven‘t re-read the series. It‘s probably about time!
I can‘t explain why, but at the beginning of this year, I decided that in July I would do a Harry Potter reread, this time with the audiobooks. I‘ve never listened to the audiobooks before, but I‘ve heard endless praise for them, and so far they have been delightful! I am already loving my time back in the world of Harry Potter.
#bookishbingo: “Chosen one” trope
“One can never have enough socks. Another Christmas has come and gone and I didn‘t get a single pair. People will insist on giving me books”
I opened this classic on my kindle purely because I broke my fast this morning at The Elephant House in Edinburgh, allegedly one of Ms. Rowling‘s favorite spots to write before Harry, Ron, and Hermione became famous the world over.
July 1st...starting a reread adventure today. Floating on Cloud 9 3/4! ☁️🤣
“Monday‘s Minutes” is a weekly post in which I track my bookish life.
Haven‘t been reading because... 😅🤓

Here‘s the thing about Rowling. It doesn‘t matter how that button got clicked. What matters is the crappy response. Because somewhere, there‘s a kid, a teen, an adult, who feels the Potter universe in their bones, and who is now crushed under the weight that its creator might believe that they are somehow invalid. If you are that person, YOU MATTER. Trans women are real women. Trans men are real men. All genders are valid. Fuck Rowling.
I don't use Bookly's audiobook feature often but it come in handy when listening to audiobooks while doing a timed reading challenge like #24B4Monday.
On Friday, I listened to a little over 2 hours of this old favorite. Tackling one of my unofficial reading goals of listening to all the Harry Potter audiobooks in 2019.
We are SO CLOSE to the end of #30junebooks! I can‘t believe June is already almost over! •
Today‘s prompt is DNF (did not finish). Here are 4 books that have recently made it onto my “stalled” shelf on Goodreads. I think I‘ll probably get back to the bottom two at some point, but I‘m not planning to go back to the top two. •
How about you? How often do you DNF a book?
Just finished this as an audiobook for my 6 year old and are now on to Book 2. My 10 year old who has already read the series also enjoyed it on audiobook and I'm still glad to say that I still enjoy Harry's adventures.
I don't know why I waited so long to read this series, but I finally read the first book. And I loved it! I am excited to dive into this series 😀
Day 6 of Fantasy @JourneyAThon and the prompt is special edition books. So I thought it would be appropriate to feature the 20th anniversaries editions of Harry Potter! I still haven‘t completed the Paperback sets of Chamber of Secrets or Prisoner of Azkaban but I will get there!
