June is both pride month and Indigenous history month. I try to bring in both of these into my readings for the month when choosing my selections .
My first was BoySlut. I enjoyed this book but understand that it may make some people uncomfortable. Not the pride aspect but the open conversation about sex , ending sexual negativity and kink. However, maybe that is why some people should listen to it. Open minds are a powerful thing.

2 sold out shows , an afterparty and a whole lot of fun. We won‘t have the total we raise for the charities for a little while but for now , it‘s time to de-glitter ,de-lash, figure out how to get the 100 Bobby pins out of my hair & put my feet up. Can‘t wait to curl up into bed with a book. Reading time I have missed you. The craziness and it‘s lead up is worth it for the animal welfare $ raised , but now just give me my soft bed & my book!

This was such a cute read. My son and I enjoyed it as a bedtime read tonight. Rick the Cat , has lots of secrets I am sure. I often think he is plotting world domination , but will get to it after his next nap done.

After a very jammed pack day . Meetings for me in the morning, followed by a very busy afternoon of Museum, IKEA shopping, Playdium, hotel pool and waterside the kids and the adults are all ready for a calm night and tucked into bed with books.

Listening to This book is definitely helping get me through the task. It‘s definitely one I am glad I am listening to. The language, drum language and characters are all well done by the voice narrator.

My second roll book for this month‘s #roll100 ended up being a second in a series and since I didn‘t have the first one, I put it aside for now. Told my son to go grab a random book from my shelf to replace it with. Here was the pick. So far I am enjoying it.

It‘s been a weird few weeks &decisions I have had to make have taken it‘s toll. I am behind in letter writing as I do not have the bandwidth to do so at the moment. I will get back to it. I‘m100% okay, just a lot of stuff going on& just feel bad that I hadn‘t sent any correspondence lately. I have had to focus on stuff & there is just so much energy in a day I can use up. Still love this community and it continues to be a happy place for me.

Packing for a work trip. Leave tomorrow and gone for 5 or 6 days. I know I will get through two of these but packed a third just in case.

Such a Fun Age is my last roll for #roll100 March.

Love it when my son reads me the bedtime story instead of the other way around. We both enjoyed this one.

This book was a so-so for me. It wasn‘t bad , just found a it slow read and repetitive. It was another knocked off my TBR shelf thanks to #roll100

I am absolutely in love with this edition. It is so beautiful!

Another thing we love in this house just as much as Dinosaurs is Ramen! I think I have the only seven year old that over the last few Christmases has asked Santa for his own ramen bowls, spoons and a ramen cookbook. As well as bubble tea cup, sushi making tools and supplies. So we have been enjoying reading this manga. Learning about different types of ramen as we read along. 🍜🍱🍣🧋

This book was not what I was expecting. I didn‘t dislike it but feel the synopsis on the back led me to believe it would be more of a palaeontology adventure , but it was more Wild West focused.

And yes, those are a bunch of kids palaeontologist tools and fossils. My Litsy handle is DinoMom for a reason. 😜🦖🦕

This sits in the middle of a pick and so-so for me. The only thing that didn‘t make it 100% pick for me was it didn‘t feel complete. I enjoyed the writing and the character development but just wanted more at the end. 3/5

Both My kid and I enjoyed this book. If your little likes mythical creatures then this is a nice little book. It‘s has colourful art and fun rhymes. It was fun listening to my little guy read this book to me at bedtime tonight.

Just finished the book The Ravens. It was the selection for the first roll for #roll100 of this month. hosted by @PuddleJumper . It was just okay for me and was a slow read , not sure due to the book or my mood this past week. (Insert tired working mom emoji here) . The tagged book is the selection for roll 2 this month. Another one that has been on my shelf for a long time :)

I ploughed through the January reads and ended up reading a bunch more on my shelf as well. I guess I should have participated in this sooner!!!! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just a few stories into this one. It‘s a weird book. However as stated before I like me some weird , so far I am enjoying it.

If someone asked me to describe these books , I would say that are like potato chips. You can‘t stop at just one! I munched through this delicious little snack of a series today. It‘s adorable, but doesn‘t shy away from hard topics.

I rarely listen to audiobooks, but the wonderful @DebbieGrillo recommended listening to this one at our last bookclub. She wasn‘t wrong! This book is so great in audio format. I would have enjoyed this book either way but listening to it brought all the feels. I laughed , I cried…. This book is simple and layered all at the same time. It is the most joyful book I have “read” in a long time! 4/5 ☺️

I love the steampunk look. I have watch movies with the steampunk theme, seen plays , and have had great conversations with people who live the steampunk lifestyle. However, this is going to be the first dive into the steampunk literary world. Love reading new-to-me genres.

Guess I won‘t be moving around to much so reading time it is!

Oh, I read the book & then realized it‘s part of a series & it hooked me just enough to want to know more. So, I ordered the 2nd one! This challenge was suppose to help reduce my TBR not add to it! 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣
I have loved Jeff Goldblum ever since I first saw him in “Earth Girls are Easy” in the 80‘s.

Told myself that I was NOT going to buy any new books for myself …failed the first time I had to go to the book store 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have SO many books on my TBR shelf and thought this would be a great way to get through some of them. I have friend staying with my right now so I gave her a bunch of stickers label 1 to 100 and told her to go randomly but them on my books. That way it will be even more of a surprise!

Thank you @FantasyChick for the #creepychristmas package. I am really looking forward to the book. The face masks definitely falls under creepy when you put them on. It made my skin feel lovely, but my husband said he couldn‘t even look at me and my son this morning when we had them on as he said he felt we looked like characters out of a horror film. Lol
We had a lot of laughs with them.

Starting this one today. Not very holiday but oh well.

This is what happens when someone gives you a gift certificate to book outlet and you hit up the clearance section. The boxes showed up at the door today and my hubby was like … “ please tell me those are books for other people and not you” So I just walk past him , slap him on the butt and say “you can just carry them up to my book case please” 🤣 In fairness , there is 4 or 5 in there for my son, so not all for me.

When you finally get a chance to sit down and read… but your cat has other plans for you. Cuddle time it is , I guess . 🤣

These are the most adorable characters! The story and message is so sweet and I love the art work. I hope a third one is coming.

Had bookclub tonight and had our Christmas gift exchange. My cat seems to like this one. Maybe if should sleep with one eye open tonight?

I am looking forward to reading this.
