A beautiful story about family, growth, and love. I did not see the twist coming at all, but I fell in love with the characters. ❤️
A beautiful story about family, growth, and love. I did not see the twist coming at all, but I fell in love with the characters. ❤️
Beautiful.
I cried numerous times. Tears of sadness, tears of frustration, and tears of joy. I adored every single character, especially Sarah and Nurse Angles (Mother Angel). 100% restored my faith in humanity.
A re-read for me. I first read this several years ago in Corfu as it was set where I was on holiday.
A really easy read, packed with larger than life characters, greek traditions, and some cracking one liners.
Jeeeeeez! Book of the month, for me!
Two babies are switched in the hospital at birth. Two years after a traumatic birth, Pete discovers the little boy he's loved and cared for is not his real son. His real son is being brought up by strangers.
This was packed with twists and turns, and I could not put it down! If I wasn't working for most of today, I could have read it over a couple of hours easily. Fantastic.
Very well written and twisty. I did find it hard to get into, but the second half was pretty good.
I really enjoyed this! It was dark, witty, twisted, and even emotional in parts.
Molly wakes up hungover after her Christmas party, and her world has fallen apart around her. She's been a victim to SA, revenge porn and her best friend is dead. But Molly cannot remember a thing.
I thought this was better than Katy Brent's first novel. 4 ⭐️
Wow, what a ride. I loved it!
Perfect for those who loved Haunting Adeline.
This was probably my least favourite of the series, but I still loved it.
I loved how different it was to the other books, yet I guessed both twists. With Freida's books, I find that I'm always looking for a twist and I've read that many of her books, that I feel I'm now in her mindset, so I guess the twists early on!
I felt that Millie was very weak in this novel. She didn't seem like the badass, fearless woman we know.
Loved the series, though!
I really enjoyed this, although I much preferred the first book in the series. It was great to see how Millie was doing after the events of life with the Winchesters. I did see the twist coming a mile off, though, but I think that's because I was looking for it. I'll 100% be reading the third book.
Freida McFadden smashed this out of the park! I absolutely devoured this in a day. Quick chapters packed with suspense and main characters you're really cheering on the sidelines for.
I did see the twist coming, but I still enjoyed the ride! Verity meets Gone Girl.
The twists just kept on coming! 😱
I did guess one, though 😂 Lisa Jewell is a must read author for me!
Absolutely brilliant. It's predictable but still brilliant. Lisa Jewell is an outstanding author.
My favourite of the entire series 🥰
Wes and Bethany were fantastic - they're high up in the Tessa Bailey couples league, in my opinion. I also adored little Laura. It was steamy in parts, but there were only a couple of scenes, so it didn't take away from the plot. I loved it.
I enjoyed the first book. When I found out this was about a married couple on the rocks, I was eager to read. This was unique for Tessa Bailey as she usually writes books about new romances. I found both Rosie & Dom SO BORING. Dom is like a caveman with zero personality... me provide for woman, grunt. Rosie is a bit of a drip. I also found Travis & Georgie to be over the top in this novel.
Oh, yes.. the nickname "Honey Girl" ??
Overall - cringe.
Classic Tessa 🥰 I loved Georgie.
A great start to the series. Lots of fun.
One of my favourite Tessa Bailey books. I loved Wells and Josephine. 💛
It was fun, light hearted and spiiiiiiiicy!
If you know, you know.
Best tote bag for carrying my books around, ever.
One of the most cringey books I've ever read. The main character was such a melt.
Still not over last night 🥹🎸🤘
Foo Fighters never ever disappoint.
I love Beth O'Leary and her dual narratives.
I did find this one of her weaker books, though, and it was much lighter than her usual books. She normally has a few twists in there and a little drama/ trauma backstory. I did still really like both of the main characters. An easy read, but it seemed to take me forever to finish it!
Stormy skies call for pistachio ice cream and a chapter ⛈️🍦📖
I loved this.
A princess is living with a curse where she needs to find a mate to rule her kingdom alongside her. However, the curse kills the men who use her to gain power.
The cliffhanger was incredible. I cannot wait for the sequel!
Bail at page 104. I found this such a chore. It started off excellent, and I was hooked, but about 30 pages in, I was bored senseless.
Just wonderful.
I love stories about parallel universes. I enjoyed his almost as much as "The Midnight Library". Once again, TJR proves she can write literally anything.
This was a cute read. It was easy to pick up with its short chapters, too. I really liked Guy and Steve, and I found Coco brilliant. I did find Juliet and Floz quite boring, being my age and single, yet they acted like old ladies. If my best friend and I were single, it would be carnage with wine and belly laughs daily ? I also found the nickname "Floz" grated on me, as though it was a cool name.
A great book to read between heavier novels.
The sequel to "Her Saint" and I also devoured this one in a day ?
This was darker, spicer, and more dramatic than the first book, and I loved the HEA for the characters. I will definitely look out for my by the author. A really good kindle unlimited find.
Goregous palette cleanser. Cute, fun, and easy reading. I absolutely adore Micklewick Bay. I just wanna live there 🥹
Stella is my favourite character of the friend group, along with Jasmine, so I was keen to read her story. Super sweet 🥰
I hated everything.
Every character was awful. It was badly written. There were multiple grammatical errors and spelling mistakes. It was WAY too long. And let's not forget it's about a teenage girl boning her uncle and cousins. It's a massive NO from me.
This was possibly my least favourite of the "Never After series". A dark, twisted spin on "Aladdin".
Very much a sloooooow burn, and I found the last 25 pages or so were too hectic. It was still enjoyable all the same, just not my favourite Emily McIntire.
Forgive me Father, for I have sinned 😭🥵
I never thought that I'd have the hots for Frollo 😳 A dark romance twist on The Hunchback of Notre Dame, you say? Take my money!
An addictive page turner with a morally grey main character, a badass female lead, spice, shock factor, and Neurodiverse representation. Ticks every single box for me! I did find this book wasn't as smutty as EM'S others, but it was MUCH, MUCH darker. Her best so far. Check TW
I enjoyed this just as much as the first book. It sounds like such a lovely town to live and/or visit!
Maggie is the least interesting of her friends, though. She has no personality and I was in disbelief that she is meant to be my age & not an elderly lady with how she acts/talks. As for her cousin... no way I'd have someone be so rude to me & make me uncomfortable IN MY OWN HOUSE. In the bin you go, Robyn.
Can't wait to read the next one! 😁
Bail at 47%.... I hate to bail, I do! 😔
I love the Phantom of the Opera musical. So I was excited to try the book. It just wasn't to my taste at all. I found it hard to follow, and I was finding it such a chore to read. This novel has made me really appreciate the absolute genius of Andrew Lloyd Webber.
I appreciate it's a much loved classic, but it's just not for me, unfortunately! I may re-listen to the soundtrack, so that counts, right?! 🤣
I'm late to the party, I know!
I absolutely adored this novel. It is beautiful. The writing is outstanding, and the characters are so intriguing. I genuinely felt like I was exploring the marsh with Kya. A stunning story about loneliness, unlikely friendship, prejudice, racism, sexism, and nature.
I loved every single chapter.
I also got "To Kill a Mockingbird" vibes from this!
A super cute, slow burn, enemies to lovers. I really enjoyed this one and loved both main characters. Such a fun read and a great palette cleanser.
What a gorgeous book, I really enjoyed the Venitian setting. My heart feels a little bigger 💚
Basically, the book is "Nine Perfect Strangers" but set in Malta & Wales.
It was OK, but it seemed to drag on forever. I did guess several twists, though. I wouldn't recommend it.
2 ⭐️
Well, I absolutely smashed this series in less than a week 🤣🤣 so that speaks for itself.
I can't wait for the spin-off starring Hook, Wendy, and the Crocodile 😁
My least favourite so far, but I love Roc (The Crocodile)
I've never known a more affectionate dog 🥹💙
He is constantly licking my face, leaning on me on the sofa, and climbing onto my lap for cuddles. He thinks he's still that tiny puppy I brought home all those years ago.

It's not the best written series that I've ever read, but I'm devouring it all the same!
Dark, gothic, gory, and spicy - what's not to love?!
Will I ever stop reading dark retellings of fairy tales? - No.
Will I ever stop obsessing over retellings of Peter Pan?
- also, no.
This was DARK. But it was so addictive!
I loved this! Packed with twists, drama, and suspense. I absolutely loved Daisy, and of course, I ADORED Poppins, the dog! I'll definitely look for more by this author.
