This was probably one of my favourites in the will Trent series because we got to know more about Angie. She was always a mystery that just popped in and out but having her be the center of the story was actually super interesting!

This book was pretty good for the most part. I didn‘t enjoy the blog post and found the end super disappointing though 🙃 I enjoyed all the sister moments but wish it could have been multiple narrators instead of just the 8 year old sister..

I loved the writing styles but the book have been half as long and told the same story.. it really dragged at the start but I liked the overarching story and wanted to know more so I continued. Then all of a sudden it was picking up, only to rush in the end. The pacing felt completely off 🥲 overall it had great lore but it‘s not a favourite

TieDyeDude That's a fair review. I loved it overall, but the beginning was a little slow, and I didn't enjoy the non-linear structure. I kinda expected though, after reading Addie LaRue, that she'd spend a good deal of time meditating on life as an immortal. 1mo
BirdLaVie I‘ve been holding off on starting this one because so many people have commented on the pacing! What a shame. 1mo
michellelav @TieDyeDude this is the only book I‘ve read by this author.. I‘ve heard a lot about Addie Larue tho. Maybe I‘ll try it down the road 😁 1mo

I reaaally enjoyed the main story plot but there‘s so much that didn‘t need to happen.. iykyk 😅 It was also SO predictable to me that I was hoping for some big twist that never came. I wanted to give it a higher rating but since I can‘t see myself recommending it, I just couldn‘t do it..

I‘ve always admired Paul Holes and the work he‘s done. It‘s sad to read about how it effected his home life but his job is a HUGE part of who he is. I cried when the Michelle chapter came up, I knew she would get brought up but didn‘t realize she would be getting a chapter (with good reason 😭) Such an amazing book ❤️

I reaaaaally loved this book but the ending reaaally lacked lustre. I was so disappointed with how the book ended and how rushed the last 4 chapters were when everything else was so slowly paced.. felt like 300 pages of questions and slow burning then 11 pages of here‘s all your answers since I‘m out of time 😅 I loved the magic and the mystery tho!

SassyPants617 @michellelav I also didn‘t want the series to end. I read it in 2019 and I can still remember where I was and how I felt when I finished the last book lol. I don‘t always remember all the books I read, but that ending I‘ll never forget. 3mo
