One of my favorite art pieces from the album.
My best friend Jerry made this book for the 30th anniversary of the Downward Spiral. It's all the artwork from the album. He did it just for fun and made a few copies for his friends that are also super fans. I recieved mine today and I am over the moon. He introduced me to all things Trent Reznor when we were teens and I'm so happy to still be friends almost 30 years later.
My goal hadn't been to embarrass him. It had been to make him pause and think. To remember that his words and actions had consequences.
"Everyone has a battle, an inner war they hide from the world. It's good to remember that."

1. ❄️🔪🌶
2. I have about 8 of JRWards most recent BDB releases I haven't started yet. I always stock pile them because as soon as I finish one, I instantly want to start the next. Only now I have so many, that I know I'm not going to get anything done for a week when I binge read them .
3. Sarah Maas, VE Schwab, Jim Butcher, Stephen King, JR Ward
#TLT
1. IT - This is one of my all time favorite movies and books. I loved the original and the remake.
2. Shawshank Redemption - I loved how the movie took this short story and turned it into this amazing movie.
3. Hobbit - like above, I loved that they made 3 movies from 1 book. I love the added stories that helped you connect more with all the characters.
Honorable mentions : The Shining, Hunger Games and True Blood.

#ReadMyKindle April List
I finished 9 ebooks for March and had 2 DNFs. Here is my list for April. Im excited to knock even more out this month.

#BookBracket
March romance pick was The Monster's Den. I love paranormal romances with fated mates but this one incorporated a mother's willingness to do whatever she has to to protect and care for her child. I loved watching huge alpha males become wrapped around a 2 year old's finger and making a pack from different species.
#BookBracket
Graphic Novel pick for March is Camp Spirit. I was instantly drowned in nostalgia within the first few pages. All the music references, clothing, and Elodie's attitude reminded me of my friends and I in high school. I would have liked more of the camp mystery in the story, but the hysterical interactions with the campers and the other teen counselors made up for it.
#BookBracket2024
March pick is Ashes of You. Its book 5 in the Lost & Found series but it is by far my favorite one out of the series. I loved the mixture of romance, suspense, teenage angst, trauma and healing. Oh the feels with this one.
#ItTakesAllKinds Day14 Lawyer
The Eddie Flynn Series
"Eddie Flynn used to be a con artist. Then he became a lawyer. Turns out the two aren't that different. " (via goodreads)
#LitsyCrafters
Finished 2 cabinets. The one with the wand boxes was especially time consuming. Lots of time spent waiting for glue to dry 😆
#ItTakesAllKinds Day13 With Map
Thorin Oakenshield's map from The Hobbit.

1. Yard work. We are finally getting some rain free days!
2. Kid- Astronomer. I loved astronomy. I even went to space camp when I was 12. Teen- Forensic Pathologist. I was obsessed with anatomy, medical science & true crime. I took pre-med science in hs but switched to vet med halfway through college.
3. We already did a few to OR & CO. Upcoming is Vancouver BC, and probably CO again.

#ItTakesAllKinds Day 11 LoveTriangle
Unpopular opinion maybe but I didn't actually like the love triangle in this series. I also didn't like the one in Twilight, Mortal Instruments or The Summer I Turned Pretty. Maybe I just don't like love triangles 🤷♀️

#ItTakesAllKinds Day 10 About Marriage
I just finished this series and all 5 books are about notorious playboys falling in love and getting married. All the stories have a different difficult problem that the couples must overcome to find their happiness.
#ItTakesAllKinds Day9
Pic of my husband & I in 2010 when we first started dating. We were long distance for the first 5 1/2 years of our relationship. We married in 2016 and it was the first time we lived together for longer than school breaks. It was hard but we both knew that being apart for school would make our future better & it did. Since then we have only spent a few nights apart from each other.

#ItTakesAllKinds Day8 #Shelfie
We have way too many bookshelves spread across the house so I decided to snap a few pics of my fave bookish pieces. From the top we have my husband's kindle cover that is Thorin's map from the Hobbit and then the first booknook I ever made. Bottom left is our Mortal Kombat bookends. Bottom right is our fancy Horrorish books and Cthullu booknook.

"Love isn't like the movies- you don't look at someone across the room, and that's it, you live happily ever after. Sometimes the person you least expect is the one. "
“This Morning, I heard the name Black Mamba for the first time, and it made me remember some dreams. “
#ItTakesAllKinds Day7 War
The story follows the journey of Celaena Sardothien, a teenage assassin in a corrupt kingdom with a tyrannical ruler, the King of Adarlan. As the tale progresses, Celaena forms unexpected bonds and uncovers a conspiracy amidst her adventures. (Wiki)
Throughout the entire series, the kingdoms are at war with one another.

#LitsyCrafters
I've slowly been working on my latest miniature set. This one is a Magic wand store front that I recieved for Christmas from my parents.
#ItTakesAllKinds Day6 True Crime
My husband and I like watching True crime documentaries. I recently watched the one above and was fascinated by it. (Its available on paramount+) This docuseries did cover the investigation but focused more on the pros and cons of social media Cybersleuths and how their involvement in The Idaho Murder case both helped and hindered the investigation.

1. Bali, Las Vegas, The Hamptons & Manhattan.
2. For the longest time I wanted to visit Sweden because of the Millenium series. My daughter wants to go to London for Harry Potter. I think visiting New Zealand for LOTR would be amazing too.

#HappyMonday
I had a brainfart while ordering my coffee this morning. The barista and I shared a laugh and then she wrote this on my coffee. Here's hoping the rest of this day goes well.
#MotivationalMonday
1. I have a phone call to go over my volunteer hours/jobs for the Renaissance faire this summer. Later in the week my kid has a consult for getting a perm.
2. When Among Crows by V. Roth. It comes out in May.
3. I don't think I can choose. I love romance, fantasy, psychological thrillers and YA. and any combo of them too.
@Cupcake12
#ItTakesAllKinds Day3 Mythical
This is one of the few series that both my daughter and myself loved. She went through a Greek mythology phase so she accumulated tons of books over the years. This series of books were the only ones that survived the donation piles each year.
@Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
#ItTakesAllKinds Day2 Fave Bookmark
This is probably my favorite bookmark. Its Stranger Things themed and an Ambigram that says upside down. "Upside" shows the kids riding their bikes throught the woods and "Down" shows a demigorgon in the same woods. It's really hard to see on camera because it keeps getting a glare.
@Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
We went to ECCC today. I am so happy that I got to meet Veronica Roth & Marissa Meyer.
Roth was so freaking nice! We joked and laughed about our crazy days and running late. I wish I had gotten a selfie with her...maybe next time.

I got quite a few of my ebooks off my TBR list in February. Some I finished, some were DNFs and a few I reread their synopsis and removed them from my list altogether.
Here are the next 20 picks from my list for March.

1. Rain: I like how fresh the air is afterwards.
2. Lavender: I honestly like quite a few floral scents but Lavender is more present in my home. My mom & grandma would always have tons of plants all over their houses and yards.
3. Musk scents: I love masculine scents; woodsy, bergamot, leather. It reminds me of my husband.

#BookBracket Romance pick for February was Off Limits.
I thought this was going to be just another “found out my fiancé was cheating the night before my wedding“ troupe but OMG... this book had so much packed into it. Betrayal, new starts, ride or die friends, scandals, love, trauma & forgiveness. While I didn't exactly love all aspects of the ending, I did really like the rest & I've added the rest of the series to my never ending TBR
#BookBracket My graphic novel choice for February was the Mortal Instruments Series. I have read the books a few times through but thought Id give the graphic novels a try. I really liked the faster pace and the illustrations were really nice.
#BookBracket2024 Here is my pick for February. I loved Sometimes I Lie. I could not put it down and was so invested in what happened to Amber. Once I got to the end, I went back through the book to reread certain parts with the new info. I know I love a book when I check out reddit for other readers opinions and to help answer any questions or things I didn't understand.
