Currently alternating between this audiobook & my signed hardcover of Melmoth by Sarah Perry. This audiobook is brilliant, it‘s like if Terry Pratchett had written Sherlock Holmes! Really hoping it‘s just the start of a series based on these characters, they‘re fabulous🙌 #SomethingWickedFall #readathon

CarolynM I really enjoyed this even though I'm not really a fantasy reader. I am a fan of Alexis Hall though, I love the way he writes. 2w

Up next is a book that I started awhile ago but wasn‘t quite in the mood for, but I need some #gothichorror for this months #SomethingWickedFall #readathon and thought this may fit the bill. I‘m a few more chapters in and I‘m hooked! Guess I‘m in the mood for it now.👁👁

#newtsreadathon2019 wrap-up: all the fictional careers I now have the fictional qualifications for 😂 Not bad considering my original plan was to go for Auror, Ministry Worker: Law Enforcement, and Hogwart‘s Prof: Defence Against Dark Arts. #readingjournal #bujo #readathon

Look what arrived today! It's the book I bought from the gift card I won during the #24in48 #readathon.

Huge Thank You to the ladies at @24in48!!!

Now I need to show a lot of restraint. Must. Not. Start. This. One. Yet. I'm buddy reading three other books atm and I'm lagging behind - especially with the book I'm reading w/ my son. He's likely to spoil the best scenes before I get to them.

Megabooks It‘s fantastic! You‘ll really enjoy it, I think! 3w

Third book completed for #24B4Monday #readathon. My attention waxed and waned with this book. The plot devices used were interesting, but the actual action didn't flow as well for me and some of the characters felt vague. It could be that I am not used to middle grade books in general and it was just too young for my taste. I did like that the setting was in Nigeria and Yetide Badaki was a great narrator.

@TheReadingMermaid @Andrew65 @jb72

LibrarianRyan Middle grade? I thought it was a YA. Would it be appropriate for MG? 3w
Andrew65 Brilliant. 👏👏👏 3w
Eggbeater @LibrarianRyan I don't have kids and I'm not in education, so I may not be the best judge of what is appropriate. The characters were around 12 years old. 3w
