This one was…ok. Great ending, and I enjoyed the character development between Grace and Esther. The middle was all the same. By the time I was ambivalent to finishing I was more than half way through so I certainly wasn‘t going to quit.

I was definitely late to the game with this one!!! Love story, hard “life truths”, redemption…all the feels!!! Should be a must read, especially for young women learning about life and love.
Really enjoyed this one!! Follow three boys fresh out of a reform camp on their haphazard journey to California, in hopes of starting new life‘s. The characters that came in along the way (meet smart and sweet little brother Billy, quick witted girl friend Sarah, care taking Ulysses) were fun and heart warming. Very well written book about “life”. I will read his others. Long, but worth it!!
Thoroughly enjoyed this one!! Felt immediately endeared to somewhat snarky full-time working Mom, Nora. Caught myself laughing repeatedly and enjoyed the suspense and plot twist. In her note, Chandler Baker says her hope was that this book made mad women cackle everywhere…I may not be mad but it sure made this tired woman cackle!! Well done.
Cheated and read the intro before I bought it and it had me smiling. Here we go!!
Getting ready to finish up this oldy but goody series. Will be sad to see Jo Marie go.
Finally got this one finished. Another good pick from Reese‘s Book Club. Great writing and loved the development of the main character, Elin. I empathized with her quite a bit.
Once the plot was established the twists and turns began. The short chapters made it so easy to just keep turning. I have ordered The Retreat. Looking forward to more Sarah Pearse!!
