pick79/150 While the big reveal was pretty obvious, the author still does a very good job of ratcheting up the levels of mystery and suspense leading up to the explanation of what's really behind the murders and the strange, half feral creatures roaming the forests. I thought the ending was a little rushed, too much running around, too many characters to keep track of as they ran off in different directions. 3.75/5
pickOver the last few days I‘ve been listening to Chiaverini‘s Elm Creek Quilts series (recommended by @Deblovestoread ) with 20+ books. Great characters and relationships woven with continuing stories and quilting projects.

Trying to get the last couple of books for challenges read this month. It will be close.
July #AuthorAMonth #ReadAway2024 #SeriesLove2024 I read Yellowface by this author last year and really didn‘t care for it. I‘m about 1/3 of the way through The Poppy War and it is a much better book. I had planned to listen to the entire trilogy this month but now I have my doubts that I will finish even the first book this month. I became distracted by a re-listen to another series and I really want to binge it.
