I think we all could use that kind of love.
A little chillier this morning, could have used a nice hot cup of coffee to accompany this outing. That is okay though, the kids are playing and I am reading about the wedding of the year. 💍👒💎
The pretty dress on the cover trend totally sucked me in.
This a quick YA read about 35 girls being selected for the prince to pick a wife from. Of course a love triangle is tossed in there and it has the back drop of rebel attacks and a caste system to keep things lively. I did enjoy it and I am on to the second book for as long as the kiddo stays asleep.
A little sci-fi thriller that makes you ponder what makes you, you. I read this in a couple of days, kept me engaged and had interesting surprises.
Finished off this series today. (The first book, Dorothy Must Die, I have as an ebook) Overall I enjoyed this YA reimagining of Oz. The books kept me interested with the old familiar characters and the news one Paige created. The last character that came in at the end of the series was a bit unnecessary but still a Pick for the whole series.
The book is definitely interesting, a nice introduction into Scifi for kids. The main character Meg was hard to really like because she is angry and sullen most of the time, but it is an emotion people/kids need to learn to handle and the book addresses it. A solid read but not a favorite. I will probably check out the movie later on.
One of my favorite movies as a kid and definitely a book I will always love! A bittersweet tale that is just so lush and beautiful. My first (re)read of the year.

Shadow was a man with a past...
I read this book years ago, it is due for a reread one day because I definitely don't remember everything that happened.
Day 3 #shadow
Read this on the plane home for Christmas and just got a chance to finish it. It was eh, the almost 30 year old characters acted like silly 14 year olds. I could see it as a Hallmark movie but the book wasn't worth the read.
Thank you so much to @Bookcation74 for my #witchpleaseswap !! I first have to show off the beautiful wrapping paper, especially the pressed leaves one. I am very excited to read all the books you got me and try out your favorite book Nevernight. Loved the matching journal/sticky notes. The bookmark is pretty and purple! I wore the bracelets today. Aventuine for some luck is one I need. Thank you again and thank you @monalyisha for a great swap.
So, we got this book 2nd hand the other day and I read it to my daughter last night. I must not have read this one before because I remember cuddly and righteous King Babar, not everyone dying. 😯 Origin stories can be weird.
