Cinfhen Many of these prompts are repeats from the last few years @Lindy I don‘t see one original idea that I haven‘t seen before. I also dislike the fact that two prompts ask you to re-read a book and 2 prompts have to do with your birth year - plus the one about an author with the same initials as you. That‘s been done before and I really couldn‘t find any. It‘s so uninspiring @IndoorDame 1y

Clwojick @Cinfhen honestly, not really. I tend to pick up a lot of overnight shifts, which means I‘m the only staff in that whole half of the hospital, so I normally get through 2-3 audiobooks a shift. 🦉 1y

Cinfhen Believe it or not, my hubby took him to another oncologist for a second opinion and we got a much better prognosis. He might be a good candidate for a one pill treatment with minimal side effects. They will know more in 2 weeks after his PET scan. Thanks for checking in xxx 2y

Totally stealing Cindy‘s layout idea for #pop22. And hi 👋, yes, I wasn‘t going to do it this year but here I am! When I looked I‘d already done 19 of the prompts (with a bit of jiggling around) so though I‘d join in.

I have ideas for most of the rest but struggling on some….there seems to be several SF and fantasy prompts, which aren‘t genres that I love.

Books I planned in Oct were different by Dec but I'm hoping to place Velvet Was the Night, Seven Days in June, and Malibu Rising somewhere. Tagged written by a friend for prompt 1, Last Night at the Telegraph Club for 5, Song of Achilles for 11, and Butterflied in November for 23. I have sticky notes and excel lists of ideas. The planning is the best part!

RaeLovesToRead I'm also going for Six of Crows for a duology... although on GR there is a Six of Crows 3 listed (?!) The only other Duologys I can think of are Strange the Dreamer (💙💙💙) and Love Virtually/ Every Seventh Wave (which I also loved...) 2y

RaeLovesToRead @BarbaraBB A duology is a series of two. (Like trilogy is a series of three). Books don't tend to come in twos so it's a difficult one. @4thhouseontheleft Six of Crows is referred to a lot as a duology, so I might count it and pretend the 3rd is a sequel 😏 Unless anyone has any other recommendations? It's a tricky prompt. 2y

RaeLovesToRead Ooh I love it! I'm also gonna read Time War for Hugo award and Under the Whispering Door for afterlife (or another book by 2021 author..). Out of the others A Little Life is an absolute masterpiece (but devastating to read) and Tipping the Velvet is incredible too! 2y

Cortg This is fantastic! I agree with @BarbaraBB A Little Life is one of my all time faves, but it'll tear your heart out. I've started penciling in my list but I want to take some time to go through the physical books on my bookshelf to see what I can read and pass on. I seem to have some chunksters on my list, which is probably not helpful for this giant challenge, but we'll see. I'm sure I'm feeling way too optimistic going into the 2022! 2y

My second update of #pop21. In the second quarter of the year I have read a lot less for the challenge. As always the start is the easiest. However, I have ticked off 37 prompts now (including some bonus ones) and it should be doable to finish the remaining within the next six months!

Kalalalatja That was how they used to work for me, but this year, I haven‘t been able to keep track of which books I wanted to read, I haven‘t really bought new books (😱🤯), and my planning has been non existent. I‘m definitely doing #booked2021, but looking at my unread shelf, I don‘t think I have books that fit the prompts, so I‘ll have to do some research 😅 exciting, I‘ll keep an eye out for it! 3y

I‘m not usually one for challenges, but I had so much fun planning for #booked2018 that I decided to join the 2018 Pop Sugar reading challenge too. I‘ve figured out a good chunk of titles. The ones I‘ve left blank are either because it‘s so easy I‘m not going to plan it (published in 2018, true crime, etc.) or so hard that I‘m holding off until I have more ideas.
